The CC Hollywood Reporter Ad: Everybody into the pool!

Okay, if we're going to do this, let's talk about doing it.

Askew's rep has informed us that we can get a full-page ad into the Hollywood Reporter's special Emmy wrap-up issue if we reserve by August 6. This gives us a skosh more than a month to put together a little less than $2,800 of the $3,000 ad cost.

Shall we go for it, then? And what focus shall we give the ad itself -- congratulations on See Jane Date? Something else? I'll be happy to write the next ad if we all can decide what we want it to be about, and having ad copy will make it easier to design it, which will make it easier to show it around, which will make it easier to raise the money.

Let's discuss, folks. First of all, who's on board?

I'm always on board for any Charisma-loving. Don't really have much in the way of ideas for the ad, but I'm sure someone with a bit more coffee in their systems will have some.

Hell if it were up to me, I'd be making an ad to get her a job on 24...(so clearly I'm not the person with the good ideas).

I'm definitely in. I'd be willing to spread the word around again. I'm sure people are looking forward to me bugging them again *g*

I do like the idea of it being tied in with "See Jane Date" in some way but anything would be good with me.

I can't contribute much in the way of funds, but I'm willing to post a link on my site to spread the word, as well as bombard everyone that I know about the "cause" and the need for funds!

I'm in for doing another ad. As for ad content, a congratulations ad for See Jane Date would be nice. I can't really think of anything else.

I'm up for another add and will contribute once my next pay check gets here. I'm not sure on the text; for some reason the idea of a congratulations add for See Jane Date just doesn't sound right to me.

I do think it should be different from the Variety and CT/Starburst adds (if at all possible, using a different picture - just for a change but I know that can be difficult).

I’m in of course. If we’re going SJD, might we be able to get a promo shot? Cos it’ll look a little odd using an ‘Angel’ photo. How hard would it be to get permission for some other image? Anyone know? There are so many great images out there, and I’m just itching to use them, without the side effect of getting sued.

How about a birthday ad? I might then be able to use some small shots from the episode ‘Birthday’ then.

Copy would help a lot of course, as well as some kind of theme.
