Yeah, but he didn't have a kid to put through college back then. Unfortunately, Connor chose Stanford over Notre Dame.

Seriously though, he did apologize for getting caught up in the search for money. I personally think the serious as whole lost the mission. The first two and half seasons, it was about helping the helpless. The second two and half seasons, they were the helpless.

I caught Expecting on TNT this morning. I miss the good old days when Angel was smart and cared about his friends. I miss charming, likeable Wesley. I miss the strong family bond. I miss eps that although had serious moments, had humorous moments too and ended on a hopeful note.

Gah. Everyone does. Especially the family feeling to the group. (Which is Angel-Cordy-Wesley-Gunn IMO)

I just watched that one on DVD. It's so sad I can't even watch it anymore.

I found it kind of funny that they'd showed "Sanctuary" this morning, and then "You're Welcome" this afternoon.

It's interesting to go back, and watch "You're Welcome." I didn't pick it up the first time around. However, after watching it a few times in reruns, I noticed that they actually dropped several hints along the way, as to how it was going to end. The thing that pissed me off is that they cut the length of Angel and Cordelia's final kiss. To me, that was the best part.

I'm up to S2 on the TNT reruns.

My thoughts:

Damn, Gunn used to be cool! He was smart, funny, a good leader and likeable. What happened?

The further into the season, the more ***holish Angel gets.

What happened to the whole storyline where Cordy looks out for Gunn? It was an interesting idea, and the writers just dropped it.

Fred, that's what happened.

Seriously, what was wrong with the women of the Angelgerse? They must've had a weird power that changed men into stupids, unlikeables... things.

I mean, just look at Gunn, Wesley, Angel, Lindsey, Connor...

Gunn always has been my second best, after Angel. I was sad when I saw what he became after hurricane-Fred. Same for Wesley.

True, that's reason enough to hate Fred. What on earth was JW thinking when he created that character? I'm going to quit watching after [i]Dead End[i], it's just too painful to see all the character deconstruction.

I noticed that the Angel TNT schedule has changed. They've done away with the afternoon airings. They are starting with the season one episodes tomorrow morning (9/28) at 3am and 4am Central Time. They then moved the episodes (they're on Disharmony) that were airing at 7am Central Time back to 6am. That pisses me off, because I don't get up that early.

I didn't notice the change of schedule. Last episode I saw a week ago, came on at 5 pm.

Okay, I realize no one's posted on here since 2005, but I thought I'd leave some thoughts I had. I recently rewatched "You're Welcome" and "Birthday" on TNT.

First off- watching "Birthday" I saw how Angel threatened Lorne into finding out a way to get Cordelia back and how worried he was he actually let other people care for Connor. I mean, this Angel would've tried a lot harder to get Cordy out of her mystical Jasmine coma and he wouldn't have just left her to rot in the hospital and basically forget about her. Ah, the good old days when Angel cared about Cordelia.

Also, watching "You're Welcome" I did not like the way Fred and Gunn greeted Cordy back. Especially Fred. I would think Gunn would hug Cordy like crazy after everything they went through. And Fred was just like "Hey Cordy!" fake hug, back to work. It annoyed me A LOT.

Yep, almost 2007 and I'm still bitter Stupid JW.

I totally agree with you Marcy on both eppy's!

"Birthday" Angel would have moved heaven and earth to bring his Cordy back to him. Angel of season 5 hardly mentioned her. That bothered me. Also, with the greetings from the gang in "You're Welcome" drove me nuts!! I thought Fred called Cordy the heart of AI. Well that is just not a greeting for the "heart" of your friends! That was just wrong!

JW really ruined "Angel" And yes I am still bitter too!

I cried every time I watched that episode. EVERY TIME! Just gets me right here *pats chest*. I agree JW really destroyed the C/A but I dont think he meant for it to go that way. CC got pregnat so the writers had to change season 4. We're here to carry on the C/A ship
