Part 1

I realise how lucky I am, to have a family that love me unconditionally. It wasn't always like that. There was a time and a place were I had sheep as friends and parents that were, well never there for me. Sure I was spoilt with money and gifts, but attention and love they seemed to lack on. How did everyone expect me to act? With a mother who made fun of people for a living and a father who cheated his way through life? I admit that I was a bitch in high school and probably still am a little. I blame them! When I found out the secret they still don't know I know, I put up all these walls to prevent my heart from ever being broken again.

But then he had to come along and spoil the plan. That hunk of vampire broodyness just came along with a great big bulldozer and knocked those walls down. So it took a couple of years, but thats not the point! The point is ...whats the point again? Oh yeah that no one has ever been able to do that. Maybe its my fault a little. I did it to him. I knocked his walls down and he just had to do it back! Thats just like him! I try to help him and he goes and helps me! Am I confusing anyone else? We've been friends for awhile now and have kept things to myself but he's always found out. We've been dating for a few months and I don't have many walls left. He has no idea how easily he can break my heart.

I'm sat out here in the garden and even though its a bright shiny day I sit in the shadows. I'm trying not to look as though I'm waiting for him to desend down the stairs from is sleep. Thats because I'm not...I'm just sat here...erm..catching the rays. It's 2.30pm where is he?! Everyone else is up!
Wesleys in his office and Fred and Gunn went out for food. Again.

"Hello! Anybody home?" A male voice bellowed through the Hyperion.

Cordelia made her way to the lobby as Angel (finally) made his way down the stairs, and Wesley came out of his office.
A tall, chubby old man was standing in the lobby ringing the bell. He was dressed in a grey suit and had scruffy white hair.

"Welcome to Angel investigations! How may we be of service?" Wesley said cheerily.

"I need to speak to Angel" the old man spoke.

"I'm Angel!" He shouted as if it was the most exciting thing ever.

"I need your help" the man said seriously.

"Why don't you take a seat and tell us all about it Mr...." Wesley insisted.

"Just call me Bernard" he gave a small smile.

"Very well. This is Cordelia and I'm Wesley!" He informed.

"Would you like a coffee or anything?" Cordelia asked.

"No thankyou" Bernard replied.

"Bernard would you like to start from the beginning?" said Wesley.

"Well, I have recently bought a new house and the last tenants say that its haunted! I'd just like to get it checked out if thats possible."

"Could we get the address and we'll be straight on it" Angel urged.

"It's the old house on katkon hill."

"I know that place. It gives me the heeby jeebys" Cordelia stated.

The old man said his fairwells and left.

***********

Bernard, once outside, took out his cellphone and dialled the number.

"Hello! Welcome to Wolfram and Hart how may I direct your call?" the womans voice on the other side said.

"Lilah Morgan" Bernard said angrily.

"Hi Lilah! He's ours! Everythings going to plan" he smirked.

Part 2

I hate musty old books! They're older than me and thats saying something since I'm 228! I'm not the kind of man...pire to research on things. I'm the act now think later guy, but since Wesley's the boss its all "lets consult the books." I find it hard to concentrate on the book infront of me when MY gorgeus, delicious, sexy girlfriend is just across the lobby. Shes frowning at the book, but at least shes reading it.

Ok concentrate Angel! ...Haunted houses usually occur when someone or some people die a tragic death. This is due..blah...blah....blah....ghosts often become brutal and will carry out any means possible to rid their territory of the living. I wonder what Dennis gets up to? I'm sure he doesn't even look at Cordelia whilst shes in the bath tub or getting changed. Even though she is the most beautiful woman in the world! Thats it he's dead! Again! Wheres exorcism in this stupid book!

"Angel are you alright? You look kinda angry" Fred asked sweetly.

"Yeah I'm fine thanks!" he said casually.

"Just haven't found anything useful yet. Huh?" She inquired.

"Erm...yeah! I mean no, I haven't found anything" replied Angel.

"It doesn't look like we're getting anywhere!" She huffed.

"Just keep looking! Have you found anything off the internet Cordelia?" Wesley asked, slightly aggitated.

"A little bit. It says here that katkon hill was once home to a rich family which all died suspicious deaths" she read from the screen.

The group gathered around Cordelia and the computer.

"Look there! It says that some sort of slimy substance was found on the ravaged bodies!" Fred declared pointing a finger at the screen.

"We'll need weapons and books" Wesley stated.

"Whoa! Hold on there! Shouldn't we like do more researching!" Cordelia joked.

"We'll have a look around the place since we're not 100% sure there are ghosts in there. I've been looking at The Deads Spirits By Ronald King, and there seems to be a theory that we are able to displace the ghosts or communicate with them and helping their cause" Wesley smiled.

"And to those who are brain dead that means.....?" Asked Cordelia.

"That we can either get rid of them or see what they want and help them pass to their next level of existance" Wesley explained.

"I've got TACOS!!" Gunn shouted as he stormed into the lobby.

Fred yelped with excitement.

"Can we eat first?" Fred asked.

***********

After eating and collecting the equipment needed, the fang gang finally arrived at the house on top of katkon hill. The house looked old and creepy and run down. The cracked sign over the entry read; Katkon house, home to the beloved. The house was hugh and hovered the whole area, the view was superb in the moonlight. The house was made from bricks that were crumbing and the doors and windows were massive.

"Thats funny?" Cordelia frowned.

"What is?" Angel walked over to where she was stood.

"I could have sworn I saw a light on when we were coming up here" Cordelia took Angels hand for comfort.

"Maybe that Bernard guy was in there. He's supposed to meet us here right?" Gunn said.

"Yes. Speak of the devil" Wesley said as a Mercedes Benz pulled up next to Angels Plymoth.

Bernard slowly climbed out of the back of the car and made his way over to them.

"Whose driving? Family?" Angel inquired.

"No! My family's long since past. Thats my chauffee" he smiled.

"Thankyou very much for helping me" he said.

"The pleasures ours" Wesley smiled back.

"Well heres the keys, good luck!" And with that he went back to his car and they drove off.

"He's rich! We are SO gonna get paid big time!" Cordelia shrieked and she did a little dance with Angel as the others laughed.

Angel took the keys from Wesley and slowly crept up to the door. Angel put the key into the lock and slowly turned the door handle.

"Wait!" Cordelia screamed.

The gang turned to face her and gave her a worried look.

"What?" Angel asked, concern written all over his face.

"We've left the weapons in the car" Cordelia fidgeted. She suddenly felt 6" tall.

"I'll get 'em" Gunn rolled his eyes.

Gunn passed weapons to each of the fang gang as they prepared themselves. Angel and Cordelia (the warriors) were standing up front with Gunn and Wesley behind and Fred right at the back.

Again Angel grabbed the handle and gently turned it. They all took a fighting stance ready for anyone or anything to leap out. The door opened with a creak which ran shivers down their spines.

Inside the house was dark. They managed to see a large lobby with stairs up the side and doors leading off everywhere. Angel and Cordelia were the first to enter. Angel was able to enter since Bernard hadn't actually started to live in the house yet. They took slow, sincranized steps as the others followed behind. Cordelia slid her hand across the wall for security and suddenly came across something cold. It was a light switch. It slowly flickered on and gave off a dim light.

"Is everyone ok?" Angel asked in a hushed voice.

"Yes" was the reply he got from behind.

"Why are you whispering?" Cordelia asked.

"Because...." Angel paused.

"...I'm listening for anything" He grinned.

"Oh!" Cordelia frowned.

The door slammed shut and made the others jump. The light flickered off for a second before relighting the area.

"I suggest we split up" Wesley announced.

"Sure! But only in groups! I'm in Angel's group." Cordelia and Angel exchanged a smile and he gently squeezed her hand.

"Hum..very well! So me, Gunn and Fred shall...." Wesley turned to look behind him.

"Yo wheres Fred gone?" Gunn started to panic.

Part 3

"Maybe she's still outside" Cordelia hoped.

"No! She definately came in with us!" Gunn said frantically.

"I'll check outside anyway!" Cordelia threw back.

She pushed her way past Wesley and Gunn with Angel hot on her (very expensive) heels.

She grabbed the handle and shoved it open.

The gang exchanged glances as the door opened to reveal a long hall way, with doors running along both sides.

"What the...?" Gunn was fuming.

He rushed to the first door and slung it open. He disapeared for a second in the room and went to the next door and did the same.

"Fred! Fred! Where are you?!" he called frantically.

The others watched on as the desperate man came in and out of the rooms. He seemed to pause near the last door and take in a deep breath before entering the room.

The gang stood for a few minutes and when Gunn didn't return from the room they slowly crept along the hall way toward the room. A crash was heard from behind. They jumped and Angel put his vamp senses on full alert.

"What was that?" Cordelia asked as she hung on to Angel.

"Wes, didn't you say something about contacting the ghosts and seeing what they want?" Angel asked.

"Yes. Though I only want to do the spell if it's necessary" Wesley replied.

"Lets get Gunn and then work out a way to get Fred" Cordelia ordered.

"I'm the boss" Wesley said to himself.

They walked over to the end of the corridor.

"Where's the door gone?" Cordelia gulped.

"It was here a second ago" Angels eyes widened in disbelief.

Wesley ran a hand along the wooden wall for some sort of entrance, with no outcome.

"It's gone. He's gone" He sighed.

"First Fred and now Gunn!" Angel huffed. He felt as though it was all his fault. He was the warrior, the protector but he couldn't even look after his friends. What little good will he do in the apocolypse!

"Wes I think the spell is necessary" Cordelia pleaded.

"Very well" he frowned.

"We need to find a room that I can concentrate in" Wesley informed.

Angel opened the nearest door and entered the room. Cordelia and Wesley followed soon after. The room was full of antiques. The wallpaper was red with a classical, elegant design on it which ran half way down and was met by wooden panels. The lights around the room gave it a soft glow.

"Don't you think it's strange" Wesley said.

"What?" Angel answered.

"There's antiques but no portraits or pictures. A family was supposed to have lived here, yet there is no sign to indicate so" Wesley said almost to himself.

"You're right. It's almost as if this place was just used but not lived in" Cordelia took a glance around.

"I think we should start the spell I don't like the sound of this place. We have to find Fred and Gunn" Angel urged.

"Angel could you chant the Latin from this book?" Wesley handed a very old, worn out book to Angel.

Off Angels nod he continued. "Cordelia you put the 'estrogen' powder in a shape of a circle in the middle of the room and spread the herbs in the middle of it."

***********

"Hi Lilah! The plans working! We all ready have two of them!" Bernard grinned into his cellphone.

***********

"Esterot hypila! Esterot hypila! Esterot hypila!" Angel chanted from outside of the circle.

"Bring forth the lonely ones. The ones who are lost within this threshold. We seek thy guidence and wish to help them in their quest. Bring them forth! Come forth!" Wesley shouted.

The room started to rattle. Angel grabbed Cordelia by the arm and pulled her to a corner and they both knelt on the floor. The room shuck and wind seemed to smother the room.

"Come forth!" Wesley continued as he frantically tried to stay on his feet.

Suddenly the ground started crumbling under his feet. He lost his bearings and slammed into the floor. Angel tried to make his way over to help Wesley but the force of the wind held him back. The floor collapsed taking Wesley with it and closing up. Everything haulted at once. The room became silent and calm. Angel helped Cordelia to her feet and asked;

"Are you alright?"

She nodded and her gave her a soft kiss on her head. The moment was interupted by a chilling voice;

"WHO DARES TO MAKE CONTACT?" It boomed.

"Why are you hurting our friends?" Cordelia spoke up.

"IT IS HIS DOING FOOL!" The voice echoed and was hard to tell just how many were speaking and what gender.

"Hey! Who are you calling a fool!" Cordelia took a stance.

"Him who?" Angel shouted into the air.

"HIM OF WOLFRAM & HART"

"Who of Wolfram and hart? Why do you keep speaking in riddles? Why is Wolfram and Hart always involved?" Cordelia gritted her teeth.

"HIM WHO IS OF WOLFRAM & HART! THE EVIL ONE HIMSELF! MR HART!"

"Mr Hart? There's a Mr Hart? And this is his fault?" Angel was confused.

"CORRECT. MR BENARD HART!"

"Bernard! Bernard? No way! He has to be like really old!" Cordelia shrieked.

"HE IS. AS OLD AS TIME YOU MIGHT SAY! HA HA HA HA HA."

"Why is this Bernards fault? Right he works for Wolfram & Hart" Cordelia stated.

"WE USED TO WORK FOR HIM! IF WE DID NOT DO AS HE SAID THEN HE WOULD SEND US HERE."

"Why? What's here?" Angel asked.

"HIS VERY OWN SLAUGHTER HOUSE! HAHAHAHA! GET OUT OF HERE!"

"Where's out? I mean...." Cordelia began.

The antique sort slammed into her from no where. She screamed and Angel was too late. He pushed the sofa off her and tried to wake her. Something grabbed his feet from behind and crushed him into the wall. The rope or whatever it was that was grabbing him was long and started to tighten around his ankles. He clawed the floor trying to hang on or find something useful. He cursed the weapons that were on the other side of the room. He was pulled through the wall as he glanced back at Cordy's weak body, flailed out on the floor.

A red scarred demon entered the room and grabbed Cordy by the wrist, dragging her back into the hallway.

"NEVER FREE! WHAT A SHAME! THEY SAID THEY'D HELP BUT NOW THEY WILL JOIN US! HAHAHAHA!"

Part 4

Her mind was foggy, she found it hard to think straight. She opened her heavy eyes and the room was a blur. The smell was intoxicating. The smell of must and damp, rotting wood. Her eyes finally focused and her head was thumping. She realised that her hands and legs were held to the wall by rusty metal chains. She glanced around the room to see some of the others coming around. The room was small and cold. To the far left of her was Wesley, then Gunn, then Angel and lastly Fred who was chained next to her.

"Where are we?" she asked Fred.

"It's hard to tell. I'm guessing the cellar" Fred whispered.

"How did they bring you here?" Cordelia inquired.

"I'm not sure. When the lights went out something grabbed me. I didn't even have time to scream" Fred told.

"Is everyone alright?" Angel shouted.

"Yeah" came the muffled answer.

"Angel, how do we get out of here?" Cordy pleaded.

"You don't!" Came the voice from newly opened door.

"If it isn't Mr.Bernard Hart!" Cordy yelled.

"Mr.Hart as in Wolfram and Hart?" Gunn clenched his fists.

"Please someone give this young gentleman a medal! I am Mr. Hart and proud of it! I've lived for millions of years and have killed many thousands of people." He rejoiced.

"I won't let you kill any of them" Angel became enraged.

"Oh! really? Don't worry I'm not planning to kill anyone here. I'm just gonna have some fun!" He grinned.

"When I killed and tortured people for fun, it was when I was a demon whats your excuse? I mean what are you? Demon, sourcer What? How have you lived this long?" Angel interigated.

"Well come to think of it....."he began.

He cranked his neck from side to side reveiling his true face and disolving his human mask. His smart suit ripped at the seams and he grew at least a couple more inches. His face was purple and distorted at one side making him look scrunched up. His hands were clawed and joined together in a big clump, his feet were the same.

"I can also use magic, so I guess you could say I'm a bit of both" He slurred.

"What are you going to do? Why go to so much trouble?" Wesley asked.

"Like I said fun. We have bigger plans for Angel and his 'groupies' at Wolfram and Hart. I just want you guys to know eachother a little better." He smirked.

"What do you mean? Oh no! You're gonna like join us together to make us a weird 5 people person" Cordy babbled.

"Hmm as fun as that sounds I kinda like my idea better. So what I'm gonna do is send all of you back to certain places in time to watch eachothers life. Did I mention it's gonna be the stuff you don't want the others to know and see?" He waited for a reply.

"Enjoy!" He smirked.

He undid one side of the chain that joined all their arms together and yanked it forward. He had amazing strength and speed. He joined it to the other side so that they were stood in a circle. He went around the circle and poured some powder over each of them.

"Retada sertula! Fretado uigyta!" he shouted.

There was a flash of light which covered the whole room and as it died down they realised they were no longer in the cellar anymore.

Part 5

"Where are we?" Cordy asked.

She rushed to Angel's side and he gently collected her hand in his and gave her a reassuring smile. Fred and Gunn were also holding hands and Wesley seemed hypnotized by something.

"Hello! Anybody there?" Cordelia waved a hand infront of his face.

He snapped out of his gaze and said; "Where in my past."

"What? How can you tell" Fred frrowned.

The area around them came into full focus. They were stood in a playground. Children were running around the playground giggling and having fun. They looked no older than 7 years old. The area was cold and isolated.

"Thats me" Wesley smirked as he pointed his finger infront of them.

His younger self wore a blue blazer and grey knee length shorts. He also wore a floppy cap on his brown hair and his English accent was not at all tainted like his now American/English accent.

The group from A.I walked over to him.

"Aww look at you dawg!" Gunn laughed.

"You're so cute!" Cordelia joined in.

"You don't think he's still cute, right?" Angel asked. She shrugged at him and ignored his question.

"Hello" Fred bent down infront of him and looked into his eyes.

The younger Wesley then ran straight through Fred and ran into another one of the boys.

"Sorry" younger Wesley told the boy shyly.

"You're gonna be!" The boy said.

The boy was a couple of years older than younger Wesley and much bigger.

"I said I'm sorry" younger Wesley's eyes began to well up.

"And I said you're gonna be" the boy clenched his right fist and hit his left palm with it.

"Go on Adrian give Pryce a pummeling!" another boy shouted from the newly gathered crowd.

"Yeah!" some of the others shouted.

"Leave him alone!" Cordelia found herself shouting.

"Cordelia it's in the past you can't prevent it from happening" Angel sympathised.

Wesley moved closer to his younger self to study his situation and regreting what he didn't do.

"Leave me alone! I'll tell teacher!" he squirmed.

"No! Please don't do that!" Adrian said sarcastically.

Adrian then pulled his fist back and pushed it full speed into younger Wesleys face. He stumbled back a few inches but Adrian never stopped hitting him. The blood was pouring down Wesley's nose and the crowd shouted over the screams; "fight, fight, fight.."

A whistle was blown from behind and the A.I group turned to face a woman blow the whistle. They turned back to the fight but found they were no longer there.

***********

They were now stood in a musty smelling old library.

"Just wait this place is slightly fimiliar" Cordelia said.

"It's the library in Sunnydale" Angel helped.

"Are you alright, Wes?" Fred asked.

He nodded and then heard his own voice from up the stairs. He slowly climbed them with the rest following behind.

"So this is where yo'll hung out when you were in High school?" Gunn grinned.

"Yes...." Cordelia began.

Her eyes went wide when she saw herself and remembered what happened.

"Look there's you" Fred pointed out.

"Yeah, you know what we don't have to watch this" she said realising no-one was listening to her.

She glanced over at Wesley who obviously remembered to since he was already blushing.

"Cordelia" then Wesley said as he put a book back on the shelf.

"yes" then Cordelia spun around to face him.

"Well....when this is over...well if we shall prevail....I'll be going back to England" then Wesley stammered.

Then Cordelia turned back to face the bookshelf and said "I know."

"With Buffy no longer working for the council, theres really no place for me here."

(Then) Cordelia walked over to (then) Wesley and said "there isn't" in her saddest voice.

"No reason to stay."

"No?"

"No cause to hope that theres a reason I might be needed" he took off his glasses.

"Needed."

"Or wanted"

"Wanted."

They then both leaned in for the worst kiss ever. They made another attempt but ended up slobbering all over eachother.

Now Cordelia looked at the others. Fred was grinning like she was high on something, Gunn was laughing and pointing and Angels jaw had basically hit the floor.

"I know what Bernard meant by things I didn't want you to see" Wesley hid his face in embarrasment.

"You told me nothing ever happened between you and Wes" Angel advanced on her.

"That is nothing!" Cordelia yelped.

Angel grabbed her and slung her over his shoulder.

The place suddenly became opaque and cloudy.

***********

"Put me down! Angel!" Cordelia shouted.

He placed her next to him but still held on to her. They were now in a room which resembled the room from the house they had been tricked in. The room had hugh grandfather clock in the corner and a fire place which lit the whole room. The room had a couch in the middle and royal blue walls with wooden floor.

"Wesley where are we" Fred pulled on his shirt sleeve.

"My parents house in England" he sighed.

"Oh" Fred breathed out.

"You are never going to be good enough to be a watcher! You wanka! You are a shame to this whole family! You're letting me down son!" A man appeared from the door with a 19 year old Wesley following behind him.

The man was tall and lean with a stubble and a cigar. But the mad still looked charming in a tweed suit and glasses.

"I'm trying as hard as I can Father! What else do you expect!" then Wesley shouted.

"Don't take that tone with me! You never stick up for yourself! You're the laughing stock of the whole town!" his father shouted.

"Then I shall not be in your way any longer. I'm moving to America father. What do you think about that ?" Wesley lowered his head.

"Why? So you can make a fool of yourself there as well?" His father spat back.

"I'm going with the watchers council. They said that one day I may be able to be a watcher to a slayer. Would that make you proud father" Wesley seemed eager to please.

"Indeed it would. But that doesn't mean that sooner or later you won't screw things up. I've given up hope on you lad! Take care" his father walked out of the room leaving Wesley to crumble to the floor.

A tear ran down Cordelia and Freds faces as they watched the scene. Now Wesley seemed ashamed of himself for letting his father get to him so badly. Either that or he was disapointed that he never got his father to be proud of him.

The room started to swirl and changed and finally stopped.

***********

The next place was dimly lit and very spacious. They noticed Gunn sat on the floor with Fred knelt beside him. She wore a red dress and her hair pinned up on top of her head.
They were in the ballet theatre.

"Well, well who's that piece of fine ass" Now Gunn said.

"Gunn!" Fred blushed and hit him in the side.

"What? I was talking about me!" He defended.

"SSHH! I'm trying to listen!" Cordelia hushed.

"...And all I ask for is one last kiss" then Gunn mimicked.

"....as the light is dimming..." he went on even thought (then) Fred clearly wasn't amused.

"You think thats funny?" then Fred said clearly upset and aggitated.

"It's just a scratch" Gunn laughed.

Gunn realised how upset Fred was so he pulled her into a hug and held her close. He pulled her back so he could look into her eyes and asked;

"Are you really that worried about me?"

"You probably think I'm an idiot" she replied.

"I think if you're that worried the wound is definately deep" he reasurred her.

"The light is dimming" Then Fred began again.

"And all I ask is for one last..." Gunn leaned in.

They kissed slowly and gently and Wesley appeared on the steps above them.

The now A.I team glanced up at him and all felt guilty. He turned and skulked off.

"Wesley I'm so sorry" future Fred said as she walked over to him.

"It's in the past. You shouldn't feel guilty about it" he slumped his shoulders.

"But I do!" Fred's eyes welled up.

"It's ok really" he said as she enveloped him into a hugh hug.

The others watched on at them. The room went dark and without them even noticing they were somewhere else completely.

***********
"I've had enough of this!" Cordy said exasperated.

"It'll be over soon" Angel placed a soft kiss on her forehead which seemed to reassure her.

"Where are we now?" Cordy let out a long, deep breath.

They turned to see a very 'street wise', past Gunn.

"I guess we're in my past" Gunn shrugged.

"Oh thank god" Wesley shrieked as if he'd won the lottery.

The A.I team faced him and looked at him like he had lost his straight jacket.

Part 6

Past Gunn was dressed in a dark green jacket and a grey t-shirt with baggy trousers. His face showed that he had had a troublesome time. He wasn't alone in the dark and dusty place. There was a girl with him which showed confidence in her actions. Her hair was light brown and was curled down to her shoulders. She wore a fashionable pink top under a brownish jacket, with jeans.

"You're on the right track. All that rage and hatred we've got, you get to keep all that. On this side there's no guilt, there's no grief just the hunt and the kill. And the fun! Oh come on how often did we go out in the daylight anyway?" The girl said as she walked over to him, face to face.

"Allona I can't do this" said an obviously worried past Gunn.

"You were made for this. Oh and all that misery and moping gone, I promise" Allona spoke as if it was nothing.

"I was never gonna let anything happen to you" past Gunn was close to tears.

"I was supposed to protect you. You were my sister" he let the guilt pour out.

"I still am" she tried to persuade him.

After Gunn shaked his head she carried on to say;

"Then why don't you kill me? Why don't you?" She spread her arms out as if to say 'come on then, what are you waiting for?'

"Ah you can't! Because you've got the guilt and I've got the greatest guilt cure ever. I can fee you! We can be together, our family can stay together, forever." She smirked.

"Remember when we were kids. And that shelter on Summer Street, huh? The second floor was all rotted out, we used to dare kids to cross but of course you were the best at it, you're the bravest. I wanted to be like you so bad, so I went up and the floor gave out. I would have broken my neck but, you'd been watching the whole time. You was standing right below and you caught me. Ever since I can remember you were looking out for me. You don't have to anymore because I'm good, and it's my turn to look out for you now." Allona told as she tried to make Gunn see it her way.

"How?" Gunn frowned.

"Look at you. You running and hiding, cold and hungry. You call that living? You are the one thats falling now, let me catch you. Don't you wanna stop falling?" She pleaded.

Gunn nodded in agreement.

"I'm gonna fix you" she stated.

Her face changed into the monster she had become. Her once beutiful black face was now ridged and horrifying.

"Say goodbye to everything you ever knew" she hissed through sharp fangs.

She put her hands around his neck and buried her face into his neck ready to drink his blood.

"Goodbye" he said quietly as he stuck a stake into her chest.

She took a step back, her green eyes meeting his, as she shuck her head in surprise and disapointment.

The gang just stood in an awkward silence, no one knew what to do or say. Tears were streaming down Fred's face as she gently took now Gunns hand in hers. Cordelia was also crying and Angel had pushed her head to his chest to comfort her. Wesley just kept mumbling something about alergies.

"I'm so proud of you Charles" Fred sobbed.

He tried to smile but didn't quite pull it off.

"You're proud because I killed my sister?" he asked confused.

"NO! You didn't kill your sister you killed the monster. You're braver than all of us. You managed to do what none of can, Charles. You did what was best. She was like Angel's Darla or Cordy's Harmony" she tried to comfort.

"You know about Harmony?" Cordy sniffled.

"I have the card for everyone remember?" Fred shrugged.

"What if we don't just stand around" Angel thought out loud.

"Excuse me?" Cordy raised her eyebrows at him.

"What if , instead of waiting for the next piece of history to be dug up we just get the hell out of here" a light bulb lit up in Angels head.

"You have a plan?" Wesley was intrigued.

"Sort of. What if we just walk through that door over there. Maybe the reality barrier will break and instead of sending us to the next place in history we go back to the house" Angel explained.

"I guess it can't hurt" Wesley shrugged.

The gang trotted from watching Gunn's past and up to the door. They opened the door and walked in.

"So much for that plan" Cordelia sighed.

***********

The room looked like a hospital ward. Beds with white sheets lined the white walls. The atmosphere was not a happy one. Children from the age of 4 to 16 sat on the beds. Blank expressions on their faces showed unhappiness and bordem. The gang noticed a 16 year old Gunn and a 12 year old Allona sitting huddled up on a bed furthest away.

Now Gunn lead the way over to his younger self and sister.

"I don't wanna leave you!" Allona sulked.

"I don't want you leave either but it might be for the best" Gunn told his sister.

"How can it be? We're the only ones let! Our family should stay together!" Allona stood up.

"Look Allona! We've been to so many shelters and foster homes. You don't desrve to carry on like that" he tried to

"So I get fostered by some people who I don't even know and you carry on as if nothing has happened!" she shouted.

"No! I'll come back for you!" He shouted back.

"When? Days? Weeks? Years? Or when it suits you?" She snapped at him.

"I'm just trying to do whats best for you! I promise I won't let anything happen to you!" he pleaded her.

"And how exactly do you expect to do that when you're not around. I won't be happy with them! I won't even co-operate! I just wanna stay with you! You've protected me for 13 years! Why now?" she sobbed.

"I don't want you to hate me when you don't have what other people have!" Gunn told her the truth.

"I could never hate you! Lets leave here! Please!" she grabbed his hand.

The future A.I felt the floor shake beneath them It suddenly crumbled and they fell throught it. They landed on their feet and there was no plaster or anything to show that the floor had just broken through.

"I don't like this!" Cordy pouted.

***********

They were now standing around with alot of moarning street kids. Men and women all standing around what looked like wood etc ready to start a fire, the atmosphere silent with sadness and regret.

They noticed past Gunn at the other side of the fire. His face was hardened in a painstaking way. Another black man who they recognised lit a match and threw it on the wood pile. It lit easily and spread into a hugh flame of fire. It was then that they saw a body of a young black man, one of Gunn's friends, lying in the middle of it. He was dead, they were moarning his death. The on lookers watched as the flames danced around his body until they smothered him completely.

The area filled with smoke choking them. When it died down they were no longer there.

***********

The A.I team were in a large room with nothing really in it. Younger Gunn stood in the middle of it with a younger black man. The man wore jeans and a blue shirt which looked like one a convict would wear.

"I'm sorry dawg! I was just having a bit of fun man!" the young man laughted.

"Oh is that right? Just having a laugh huh? Maybe I'll give you something to laugh about" Gunn brought his face close to the other man.

"Look man it won't happen, I promise" the man pleaded.

"That's what you said before and the time before that! You need some discipline boy! Or ya wanna get us all killed" younger Gunn grinded his teeth.

He pulled the young man up in to the air by his shirt collar and rammed him into the wall. His body dropped to the floor in a heap and blood was running down the back of his head.

Fred looked away as the scene was too much for her. A wall seemed to just appear in front of them preventing them from seeing the rest of the history.

***********

"This is making my head hurt!" Fred moaned.

"Oh my josh look at your hair" Cordy laughed and pointed infront of her.

There stood a very old fashioned Angel in a very old fashion room.

Part 7

Past Angel ran through the doorway at the other side of the room. His hair was long and curly like the wig a judge would wear except it was brown. He wore an old style gold jacket that was tailed at the back, a yellow waist jacket and a ruffle necked white shirt. He also wore cream trousers down to his knees met by white socks and brown boots. He carried a brown leather bag in one hand and ran up to a young girl which was being held on to by an older woman.

Past Angel came face to face with the young girl.

An older man came running through the door after him and said;

"Liam! You'll do as I say!"

The man scowled at Angel who was dressed in the same sort of garments but in a burgendy colour.

Angel brushed a finger over the young girl's cheek saying;

"Sorry Cathy, no tears. We'll meet again."

His voice had a distinct Irish accent.

The girl was very pretty and her long curly hair was held up by a lace bow.

"Defie me now you won't! Not as long as I live" his father shouted from behind.

The young girl known as Cathy tried to put on a brave face and not cry. She stood in silence as Angel or rather 'Liam' turned around to face the angry man who caused him so much heartache.

"You'll want to move away from the door now father" he said.

"Walk through it but don't ever expect to come back" his father spat.

"As you wish father. Always just as you wish" Angel said angrily.

"It's a son I wished for, a man! Instead God gave me you! A terrible disappointment!" His father intended to sting.

"A disappointment? A more dutiful son you couldn't have asked for! My whole life you told me in word, in glance of what it is you required of me. And I've lived up to every expection now haven't I?" Angel was enraged.

"That's madness!" His father was furious.

"No! The madness is I couldn't fail enough for ya! Oh well we'll fix that now, won't we?" Angel clenched his jaw.

"I fear for you lad" his father said.

"Is that the only thing you can fin in your heart for me now father?" Angel asked.

"Who'll take you in huh? No-one." Liams father became frightened as Liam took a few steps towards him.

"I'm not lacking for places to sleep in, I can tell you that. Out of my way" he said up to his fathers face.

He stormed past his father and up to the wooden door. As he went for the handle his father grabbed his arm and pulled him back around to face him.

"I was never in your way boy" he said with regret.

Angel slung the door open and stormed out not even looking back. His father went to the doorway and shouted out to him;

"If you're going to cause trouble, you'll be sure to find it!"

The light from thw window became blinding and the LA A.I gang became colder as the light dimmed away to show night.

***********

Cordelia took Angel's hand in hers and squeezed it tight. His actions spoke louder about the way he was feeling and Cordy wasn't going to push him to talk about it to her. It was his past and he could deal with it any way he wished, she'd still be there for him if he needed her. He looked deep into her eyes and she smiled at him which seemed to give him reasurence and confidence.

"It's times like that, I'm glad I don't have parents" Gunn tried to lighten the mood.

They were stood in a dark alley way. There were a few lamps about but not actually down the alley. The stone walls gave off shadows and were damp and cold.

There was an archway across from the alley that showed lights in old fashioned buildings with people laughing and drinking inside of them.

They saw a woman slowly, seductively, walk through the archway and into the alley. She wore a hugh old fashioned dress that was white and puffed out at the sleeves and from the hip down. She looked so skinny, obviously the handy work of a corset. Her hair was in blonde curls which were bundled at the top of her head. She wore heavy white makeup. It was Darla.

They saw a scruffy looking Angel appear from behind her. Following her, hypnotised by her.

The A.I gang talked amongst themselves as they watched Angel and Darla talk.

"What was this, like the bad hair age?" Cordy questioned.

"No, actually I believe it was the......" Wesley stopped when he realised everyone was looking at him strangely.

"I remember this like it was yesterday" Angel seemed to zone out.

"Is it always this cold in Ireland?" Fred complained.

Gunn took off his jacket and wrapped it around Fred's shoulders.

They watched as Darla vamped out, tilted her head and sunk her long, sharp fangs into past Angels neck. His legs crumbled beneath him and he fell to the floor, swaying with uneasiness. Darla then drew a sharp nail and dragged it along the top of her chest. She grabbed Angel's head and pushed it to her, making him drink the newly formed blood.

"Eeewww! Slutty much?" Cordy said in disgust.

"But if it didn't happen I would haver never of met you" Angel pulled her into a tight hug.

The lamps suddenly went off leaving them in the pitch dark night.

The light blindingly reappeared. They were then in the Hyperion. Angels room.

***********

Past Angel was standing in a tuxedo and Lorne stood behind wiping Angel's jacket for some reason.

"How hot do you look in tuxedos" present Cordy whispered to Angel.

He gave her a sexy smileand replied with;

"Very hot."

"I'm glad you're being modest" she giggled along with Angel.

"That sweet Irish lullaby you've crooned, just a hair flat on the bridge. But more to the point, eh, Cordelia" Lorne said in his usual way.

"What about her?" Past Angel tried to act innocent.

"I read you while you were singing you big corn muffin. And I can't say I blame you. I mean what a woman she's become." Lorne sympathised.

"You're not supposed to be readingme and anyway you read me wrong" Angel shot back.

"Look, sorry struddle but it's not just when you sing. We got a little term we use back in Pylea, kyrumption" Lorne turned as Angel walked over to his bed and sat on it.

"I know it" Angel interrupted.

"Ok. When two great heroes come together" Lorne began.

"There will be no coming together, o.k. Everything we've been through and all everyone wants to talk about is..." Angel became very aggitated.

"You can't fight kyrumption, Cinamon buns. It's fate, it's the stars. Kyrumption is...." Lorne tried to persuade.

"Stop saying that!" Angel took to his feet.

"And stop calling me pastries" he added angrily.

Angel skulked acroos the room, rubbing the back of his head in exasperation.

"You're a man of many limitations Angel. But you're a man, you've a heart. And Cordelia's a hell of a lady. I mean if I knew she'd like to wear green I'd be elbowing you out of the way" Lorne admitted.

"But she's out of my league, she's a champion Angel. Old school. Besides we all know you've got a thing for ex-cheerleaders" Lorne sat on a cahir and laughed at his own joke.

"What have I got to offer her?" Angel asked sadly.

"Do I even have to answer that? You just have to act Angel. You gotta let her know what's brewing inside because man it's real and...and you don't wanna miss that shot" said Lorne.

"Lorne, Cordelia she's.." Angel began.

"She's what?" Came the familiar voice from the doorway. Cordelia's voice.

The room started to spin and went blurry. It felt as if they were falling. When the room slowed to a hault and the room came into focus they were sat down.

***********

They were sat in a line on a sort of wooden bench in a straight line.

"That Mr.Hart guy said that we'd be seeing stuff we didn't want anyone to see. Why didn't you want me to see that?" Cordelia asked Angel.

"I mean I found it quite adorable" she flashed a grin and waited for a response.

Angel looked at the floor and shuffled his feet. He mumbled " you fnk aws durk."

"What?" She moved closer to get a better hearing.

"You'd think I was a dork" Angel held up his head.

"You didn't want me to see it because I'd think you're a dork. Ha ha you're such a dork Angel" she said without realising.

"Oh I see your point" she giggled.

They glanced around the room at the other people who were silent and crying. They were in a church sat in a pew. A coffin sat at the top of the aisle and a priest was saying something on the higher platform.

"Would anyone like to give say some words on Julies tragic end?" The elderly priest asked.

He was wearing a black hat and gown with a white collar and a long gold cross against his chest.

"I'd love to!" A familiar Irish voice said.

Past Angel stood up from the front pew wearing his trademark black on black clothing. He leaped up on the platform lightly pushing the priest out of the way.

"I'd like to praise the dear lord for our meals. The big ones, the skinny ones, the tall ones and the short ones. I'd especially like to thank Julie since she was quite a yummy treat, not quite a meal but tasty anyway" Angel gave a mischevious smile.

The crowd gasped a talked amongst themselves.

"Now thats just rude!" Angel shouted at the crowd.

He grabbed the priest back on the platform and vamped out. It was the face of pure vicious, Angelus. He pulled the priest closer to him by the scruff of his collar. The priest grabbed the cross and shoved it into Angelus' chest. He was praying under his breath, asking, pleading for God to save him. Angelus roared out in pain and snatched the other end of the chain and pulled it tight. People started to get up from the crowd but other vampires appeared from the shadows. Spike, Drucilla and Darla snarled at the crowd as they screamed and cried out.

Angelus was now strangling the priest his face went purple and then to a sickly grey and then his lifeless body hit the floor.

"I guess the lord was busy" Angelus smirked.

Darla came up from behind him and he he sensed her coming. He spun around pulling her into a long passionful kiss.

When he broke away he said "Darla have you eaten one of this nice folks."

"Maybe just the one" she giggled as he pulled her into another long kiss.

"That's my girl" he put an arm around her.

"Yes. Just the one daddy. Miss Edith wanted to be greedy but she'll be punished" Drucilla told them.

"I've locked the doors now what?" Spike walked over to them.

The crowd were trembling. There were about six dead bodies lying around and only about twelve people left.

"We can make these last a week" Angelus announced turning back to his human face.

"I'm not bloody staying in here another week! Especially with these bloody stinking people" Spike looked around the room.

"I want that little one" Drucilla pointed to a small baby.

"Maybe you're right we'll have a feast tonight and then travel to France" Angelus declared.

"Oh goody! I think I'll enjoy it in France" Darla looked at the crowd with hungry eyes.

Angel jumped off the platform and up to a small girl.

"Now what's your name?" he asked her.

"Miss Helena" the small girl sobbed.

"Would you like to go to heaven?" he knelt down infront of her.

"Yes" she trembled.

"Very well. Although I can't promise anything. Don't worry this isn't going to hurt abit" he laughed.

He vamped out again took one of her arms and stuck his fangs into it. The girl screamed in agony.
He pulled away and took a small knife from his pocket.

"Now that wasn't so bad was it? This on the other hand will hurt" he grinned savagly.

The room started spinning again and as it did all they could hear was the painful screams of the young girl.

***********

The noise went away and the gang were silent. Fred and Cordelia couldn't hold back the tears and Angel watched as Cordy pulled away from him.

They were stood again in the Sunnydale cemetary. They saw Buffy with her blonde hair in a ponytail and Angel in ablack shitr kissing against a gravestone. They couldn't keep there hands off eachother. The kisses were passionful and long.

Present Cordy tried to cover her eyes but couldn't help looking.

Buffy and Angel talked between kisses and finally broke up to say;

"We really need to be hunting."

"Oh thank God" Cordy said.

Buffy and Angel walked about five steps when Buffy said;

"You see anything."

He replied with a no.

"Enough hunting" Buffy said as she and Angel resumed the kissing.

"Get a room" Cordy found herself saying.

"Yo man! That's Buffy? Where like the you know muscles and stuff" Gunn asked.

"I pictured her differently" Fred admitted.

A hand came through the ground of one of the grave pulling them through it.
They landed on a soft carpet.

"I guess it's my turn now" Fred said pointing over to a younger version of herself.

Part 8

Younger Fred wore dungarees a white tee shirt and her long brown hair was let down. She was standing in the middle of a lounge. The room was blue and very comfy. Fred wasn't the only one in the romm, her parents were also there.

"Why not?!" Fred said. She must have been about sixteen.

"Because we don't want you getting hurt honey! It's for your own good!" her mother pleaded.

"You just want me to stay here forever! You can't wrap me up in cotton wool for the whole of my life!" Fred protested.

"Now Winifred calm down. The whole of Texas can probably hear you! Your mother and I don't want anything bad to happen to our little girl! We're not wrapping you up in cotton wool, we've just heard things about that happen at places like that" Her father explained.

"Yeah, it's called fun!" Fred argued.

"It's called drugs and sex!" her mother shot back.

"Don't you trust me? Don't you think I know better then that? I'm responsible, I mean come on I have a the library for crying out loud!" Fred tried to convince.

"I know honey. We do trust you, just sometimes it's not something you can prevent" her father tried to comfort her.

"It's a party thats all! Everyone is going and their parents are fine with it!" Fred was becoming very annoyed and fustrated.

"Well obviously their parents don't care about their children" her mother shouted.

"They care they're just not over protective! I'm sixteen! Are you just trying to ruin my life?" Fred cried out.

"Whoa! Look maybe we can find some sort of compromise. What if Fred goes but she has to be back by 10.30? Or what if she takes cousin Stacey with her?" He looked at his wife.

"Fine! You can go if cousin Stacey will take you! Now I don't want any further discussion on the topic" her mother caved in and walked off.

"But mum!......."Fred yelled after her.

The room started spinning around faster and faster until they came to an abrupt stop.

***********

"Aw, baby!" Gunn pulled Fred into a bear hug.

"It's not funny Charles! Thats all I could think about when I first came to Pylea!" she mumbled into his chest.

He let her go but didn't let her venture far. Wesley was stood infront of them observing the area. Cordy and Angel were stood together but not actually together. They wasn't holding hands or even giving the small touches of reasurrence. Angel seemed to be non-stop staring at her and she was very quiet which was a strange thing since Cordy was known for her....yammering. She knew about everything Angel had done as Angelus and even then she didn't seem to care. But now,....now was different,...before she could shake the thoughts away, but now she had had to see them with her own eyes. She'd get over it, it just needed some time to be digested is all.

"Why do I get a deja vu just standing here?" Cordy huffed.

"Looks like we're in Pylea. Again!" Wesley shrugged.

The air was humid and sticky. The ground was soft beneath their feet and the surrounding tree's were hugh. The only thing which told them that they were indeed in Pylea were the suns.

Suddenly a porthole opened in front of them. It was blue and whirled around and around making the area blow back by the wind it was giving off. The fang gang stumbled backwards and to the floor. The porthole then slowed down and slowly closed up.

Gunn helped Fred off the floor. Wesley slowly climbed up wiping the dirt off his trousers. Cordy who had landed in a very awkward position on top of Angel couldn't seem to get the message from her brain for her legs to work. Angel sat up bringing her into a crouching position.

"Are you ok?" Angel asked gently.

"I'm fine" she smiled at him.

"I didn't mean the falling I meant....what you saw....of me" regret and guilt came rushing back to him.

"Angel, I told you before that the good far out-weighs the bad. Anyway that wasn't you that was him. I love you way too much to let that get in the way of our relationship. That's what that Bernard guy wants. He wants us to all fall out so that you're left on your own. Well I'm very sorry but you don't get rid of me that easily! I just need you to be patient ok?" Cordy reasurred him.

"I can be patient!" He grinned from ear to ear as he helped her to her feet.

The gang realised that the porthole had brought past Fred with it. She was younger and wore a white tee shirt, black trousers and the necklace Cordy had had in the vision of her. She also wore black rimmed glasses which made her look very intellectual.

"W.where am I?" past Fred stammered.

"Is anyone there?" she trembled as she looked around for someone, anyone.

"Help!" she shouted and heard it echo.

She slumped to the floor and started to cry.

"Where is everyone? Where am I?" she sobbed.

There was a rustling sound from infront of them which seemed to catch their attention.

"Hello! who's there?" past Fred called out.

There was no reply.

Past Fred stood up and wiped the tears from her face.

"Hello!" She glanced around.

Something leaped out of one of the nearby bushes and headed strait for her.

She screamed in terror and stumbled backward and fell down.

The demon leaped on top of her and started gnawing at her tee shirt. The demon was green with yellow shecks and was very lizzard like.

A bell was heard coming towards them and the demon stopped what it was doing ang ran towards it.

About five other demons emerged from the terrain. They were all green and wore very baggy clothing.

"What have we got here then?" one the demons said. He wore all yellow clothing.

"Who..who are you? What are you? Where am I?" Fred questioned.

"Hush cow!" one of the other demons wearing blue said.

"Somebody help me!" Fred screamed.

"I'll take the noisy cow" a demon wearing red told the others.

"Why should you take the cow?" one wearing brown asked.

"Excuse me! It was I who captured it" the demon who was ringing the bell stated.

"I'll take it! I have less cows than the rest of you!" the one wearing yellow argued.

"NO! I found it I't mine!" the bell ringing demon shouted.

All five demons started bickering and getting violent.

Past Fred slipped away into the woods as they did so.

The future A.I gang followed her into the woods and when they came to an opening they were no longer in Pylea.

***********

They were in the Hyperion- Wesley's office. Angel was sat at the desk with his feet on it. He had a glass ans what looked like Martini in his hand. Past Fred walked into the office and said;

"What'cha doing?"

"Well hey sweetheart!" he flashed her a grin.

"Where have you been hiding?" He contiued.

"You know up in my room. Everybody keeps saying 'Fred you should get out more' ..well.." she babbled.

"Fred" Angel said to himself.

He took a mouthful of his drink and pulled his feet off the desk. He stood and walked over to her.

"Have I ever told you, you're a very beautiful woman" he grinned mischeviously.

"Erm...No" she giggled.

"Do you like olives?" he asked her.

He took the olive out of his drink and placed in her mouth. They both giggled as they did so.

"I'll tell you what. I've got some work I have to do here. Why don't you go on upstairs and put on something pretty and we'll got out on the town" he told her.

"Really?" she asked eagerly.

"That's just for starters" he tapped her with his spoon cheekily.

"Ok...I'll just...ok" she ran off excitedly.

The room went dark and the A.I gang could bearly see anything. When the light slowly came back on they were in a kitchen.

***********

"Why don't I remember that?" present Angel frowned.

"I guess that's when you were body jacked" Cordy said.

"That is so embarrasing" Fred blushed.

Gunn and Wesley were trying hard not to laugh.

The kitchen was beige and clean and tidy. A younger Fred stood near the stove cooking something. A scruffy dog was at her feet waiting to be fed.

"Stop it Max! I'm cooking for Ma and daddy I'll just be a moment" she giggled patting the dog on the head.

"I'm gonna get the best china, you wait here" Fred smiled.

She walked out the room happily.

The A.I gang watched as the pan on the stove set alight and quickly spread across the surface of the kitchen. Smoke started to smother the kitchen. The flames started dancing around the room and the smoke came to much. Since it was in the past it didn't effect the present A.I gang. They heard past Fred choking and calling out for her dog.

The room was thick with smoke and they couldn't see through it. The smoke started clearing and they were stood in a High School corridor.

***********

Present Fred was weeping they realised.

"What's the matter baby?" Gunn asked.

"I didn't want you guys to see that. I understand if you never want to talk to me again!" she weeped.

"Why wouldn't we want to talk to you again?" Cordy asked.

"I killed him!" Fred sobbed.

"Killed who?" Angel was confused.

"Max!" she weeped. Gunn pulled her to him.

"It's ok we all understand! It was an accident" he told her.

"I think we can find it in our hearts to forgive you" Wesley smiled reassuringly at her.

"Really?" she pleaded.

"Really" the whole gang said.

"Oh no!" Cordy whined.

"What?" Angel was getting worried.

She pointed to herself and pouted.

Part 9

The then Queen C version of Cordy walked along the High School corridor swaying her hips. No-one was around just her. She wore a black top with a white pattern on it and a black mini skirt. Her hair was down past her shoulders and she had a fringe. As she neared the closet where the future A.I gang stood she stopped and looked straight through them and looked around her suspiciously.

"What are you doing?" future Angel asked future Cordy.

"I don't remember we'll just have to watch and find out!" she stuck a tounge out at him.

When past Cordy saw that the coast was clear she carefully opened the closet door and entered it. The A.I gang followed.

The closet was dark but they could still see what was going on. Past Cordy was making alot of smacking noises as well as whoever was in there with her.

"Cordy! Is that Xander?" future Angel growled.

"Kinda" she squirmed.

"Xander" past Cordy said whilst making out with him.

"Ssshhh!" He said as they carried on.

"It's just that I'm worried we're gonna miss class" she said between kisses.

Xander turned the light on and pulled away.

"You know what? This would work alot better for me if you didn't talk" Xander said impatiently.

"Well it would work alot better for me with the lights off" past Cordy snapped.

She pulled the switch to turn the light off again and resumed the smoochies.

Xander turned the light on again and pulled away so he could look straight into her face.

"Are you saying you can't look at me when we do..whatever it is we do?" Xander frowned.

"No! It's that I can't it's more, I don't want to" she told him.

"That's great, that's just dandy! We're repulsed by eachother, we hide from our friends" he began.

"Well I should think so, please!" Cordy said in her Queen C status.

"All in all this is not what I call a big self-esteem booster" Xander said fustratedly.

"Tell me about it, just look at you. And those clothes, where did you get those shoes?" Past Cordy babbled.

"You know what? I don't need this" Xander exasperated.

"Ditto! Like a hole in the head" Cordy shot back.

As they both reached for the handle their hands entangled and they began making out again.

Past Cordy reached for the light switch and once again turned the lights off. This time the lights did not come back on for a while, when they did they were no longer in the small closet.

***********

"I never ever want to see that again" Angel cringed.

"Cordy I thought you said Xander wasn't cute?" Fred said.

"Trust me he isn't!" Cordy answered.

"Whoa hold up. You thought he was cute?" Gunn asked Fred.

"Lets not go into that since at this very moment I'm trying not to be sick" Wesley interrupted.

"So that's what you and Xander got up to! You know what I could hit him or something for hurting you if you want me to" Angel told Cordy.

"Aaww that's so sweet" Cordy said sarcastically. Angel didn't seem to catch on and instead gave her a goofy smile.

"Yo! Why ain't there nobody in this mall?" Gunn asked as he glanced around the empty mall.

Cordy saw herself and Skip walking infront of them and pointed to the others which followed her towards them. Past Cordy was wearing a grey sweat jacket, a white tee shirt and black trousers. Skip was all in metallic metal and looked as always.

The gang listened to their conversation and followed them along the mall.

"I don't have an acting career" past Cordy was saying.

"Which sort of brings me to my next point" Skip told her.

He lead her to some television screens which showed herself on them.

"Hey I remember that night" past Cordy said.

"This is weird! I'm watching me watching me" future Cordy giggled.

"You'd been in LA for the last few months, things had been pretty lean. And who should you run into?" Skip pointed to one of the screens.

The screen showed herself meeting Angel at the party which brought them together in LA.

"Your entire life changed that night in ways you couldn't imagine. In describably painful ways I think you'll agree"Skip informed past Cordy.

"Now, what if the play ran a little different. You're on the sideline over here talking to some wannabe mocles. Angel is down till here. Instead of cutting down the middle to meet Angel, what if you'd been forced to counter with this guy who happens to be a very powerful talent agent. Flenks you and drew you off side. What would happen then?" Skip asked her.

He had drawn crosses and circles on the screen.

"I'd score a touch down?" She said a little confused.

"Metaphorically speaking, heck yeah!" Skip said enthusiastically.

"Inside every living thing there is a connection to the powers that be. Call it instinct , intuition, deep down we all know our purpose in this world" Skip explained.

"Are you saying I was meant to be an actress?" Cordy asked.

"No. I'm saying you were meant to be an incredibly famous and wealthy actress" Skip told her.

"The Power That Be can make that happen" Skip informed.

"Really? they can do that? They turn back time" she asked , intrigued.

"No, they don't go for that , much. Think of it as writing over history. From this moment on you could live the life you've always wanted. No monsters. No visions. No dying, well not for a long time anyway" Skip tempted.

"But no Angel" Cordelia thought out loud.

"Cordelia I want you to listen. If you go back in your body, you won't wake up. You'll lay there unable to move, unable to speak until the next vision hits you and then you will die" he said seriously.

"Well that's not fair! How is Angel gonna know to save that girl if I don't tell him where she is? He needs me!" Cordy said sincerely.

There was a sudden flash of light and they sat in the audience watching the theme tune to the tv show 'Cordy."

Then there was another flash of light and they were in a room with blue lighting.

***********

"I can't believe you gave all of that up to be with me" Angel said as the guilt shone in his eyes.

"Well what can I say? Famous ain't all it's cracked up to be. Anyway I couldn't do without any of you guys, especially you broody!" Future Cordy winked.

"You didn't say it happened like that! You said that they gave you the choice of dying, demon-ness or having a tiny bit of fame which made you lonely! Plus you said that you said the demon part you chose straight away or else they'd give Wes just one arm!" Angel was trying hard to be annoyed.

"What? You'd rather I'd have been famous and us never knowing eachother?" She looked visably hurt.

"NO! I....I just wish you didn't have to go through this kinda stuff every day!" Angel lowered his head so their eyes met.

"Angel I made my choice and I wouldn't have it any other way! I admit that I get fed up with the evil coming all the time but I love it in a weird sort of way! I love you Angel and I'm gonna be here for a long time so you better get used to it" Cordy smiled.

"As much as we all want to watch you two......I think we'd all like to know exactly where we are" Wesley spoke up.

"I know where we are but you'll have to wait and find out" Cordy said as the door to the side of them opened.

It was then that the gang noticed a past version of Angel curled up on the only item in the room, a matress.

The room had a blue fluoresent glow. The light came from the door as it opened fully to show a past Wesley, Gunn and Cordy.

Past Wesley wore a cream shirt and tee shirt under it with jeans. The big difference was that he only had one arm, so this Wesley was one that could have been, but not actually a past that had happened.

Gunn was wearing his usual style clothing of jeans and a baggy shirt. Cordy on the other hand looked glamorous with short curly hair and fashionable black top and trousers.

As the door opened past Angel who looked very scruffy in his usual black on black clothing scrambled away from the pure white light from the doorway.

Past Cordy looked at the hanging chains on the ceiling and past Wesley filled her in.

"Restraints. Some times the visions make him violent" Wesley said.

"171. 171 drive. Do...do you hear me? I can be alone, y'know? I won't run away." Angel rambled as he got up clumsily and walked up to the far wall.

"Oh my god" Cordy gasped.

"This is one of his good days" Wesley informed.

"No...no I won't do that. I mean...I mean only if it's dead. It's me...it's me, it's my fault" Angel sat back on the matress and rocked backwards and forwards slowly.

"Don't get too close." Wesley grabbed Cordelia with his one and only arm as she tried to move closer towards Angel.

Angel talked gibberish as she slowly walked over to him and knelt down saying;

"Do you remember me? Cordelia" she asked gently.

Angel took one glance at her and quickly crawled into a near corner.

He sat in the corner as she said to him;

"Don't be afraid."

She walked over to him again.

"I'm fine! Fine. 171,171. My head doesn't hurt. It doesn't hurt. I wanted to die but I was afraid to die" he started babbling.

His face looked very pale and showed signs of worry and pain. Cordy looked at him with so many different emotions as her eyes welled up at the sight.

"You don't remember me do you?" She half asked half stated during his ramblings.

"171, 171, 171, 171" he drew on the wall using his fingers.

"Sshh! It's ok. Everything is going to be ok, everything's gonna be ok." Cordy spoke as if trying to reassure herself aswell.

The emotions took over her and she leant in and kissed him with all the overwealming desires to make things right.

There was a blue light which was exchanged between the two and past Angel, Wesley and Gunn stood still in time.

Cordy pulled away and stood up to face the reappeared demon, Skip.

"I remember everything. The visions, they were mine." Codry said matter-of-factly as she walked over to him.

"We made a deal. You gave up the visions, not to mention the certain death that goes with them and you get to live out your dream. Call me crazy, I thought that was a pretty fair trade" Skip sounded annoyed.

"Sure it's fair, but it wasn't me" Cordy argued.

"We've been over this. I respect what you're trying to do, it's noble and heroic and all that other Russell Crowe, Gladiator crap" he snapped.

"You've seen....?" She began.

"Didn't love it. The fact remains that humans are not strong enough to harbour those visions, period. Even the Powers That be can't change that!" Skip more or less yelled.

"Then find a loophole, Skip! I know my purpose in this world and it includes the visions. And if the Powers That Be aren't complete dumbass' they know that too" she said stubbornly.

"There may be a tiny loophole " he gave in.

"I'll take it" Cordy replied straight away.

"You may wanna think about that. The only way you get to keep the visions is by becoming part demon" Skip warned.

"The process isn't easy. It'll make your vision pain seen like a stroll through candy land. And even after the agony subsides, the effects after the transformation will be numerous and unpredictable. You may not be able to live a human life again" he told her.

Cordy took a long painful look at the still stopped in time past Angel and decided what it was she had to do.

"So? Demonize me already" she told Skip determindly.

"It was an honour being your guide, Cordelia Chase" Skip said.

He placed a huge metal hand over her head and there was another flash of light.

The A.I gang then found themselves in a bedroom.

***********

"I can't believe that's what it could have been like" future Fred looked at the others.

"I know!" Gunn agreed.

"HHmm I'm glad it never turned out that way. I quite like having two arms" Wesley smiled.

"I mean you'd think with Angel being a vampire and all he'd be able to cope with the visions. But we all know Cordy is stronger then any of us when it comes to stubborness" Fred told.

"Hey!" Cordy fake hurt.

"I don't think it's just because of the visions I was all...you know loony. I think it's because we didn't have a heart for the group like Fred said you are" Angel said to Cordy.

"Is that you?" Wesley interrupted the moment and pointed to a small child layed in the bed.

"Yep" Cordy moved closer to took another look.

"You look so cute" Angel grinned.

"Eww, Angel! I know you fell in love with Buffy when she was 15 but I'm like nine there" she wrinkled her nose at him.

The gang heard shouting from downstairs. The younger version of Cordy tossed and turned in her bed before throwing the covers off and slowly climbed out of bed. She wore a pink night shirt and pyjama bottoms and her brown hair was quite short. She carefully opened the door of her bedroom and slid out. The A.I gang followed her as she did so.

She walked to the top of the staircase were the shouting was heard a lot more louder and clearer.

"Why are mum and daddy always arguing?" She huffed as she sat on the top step and listened to them.

"It's a simple question! Where have you been?!" Cordy's mother shouted.

"I told you I was working late!" Her father yelled back.

"That's what you said last time!" Her mother was infuriated.

"Keep your voice down! You'll wake Cordy up!" Her fathers voice boomed.

"You mean that slags daughter!" She made no attempt to quieten down.

"How many times do we have to go through this!? It was a mistake!" He huffed.

"Yeah a mistake I have to see every day!" She replied angrily.

"NO! She's your daughter as much as she's mine!" He yelled.

"She's is not my daughter and she never will be! Or don't you remember? I can't have children! So you went and slept with your secretary so you could carry on with the Chase family tree!" She spat at him.

Younger Cordy suddenly leapt to her feet and ran down the stairs as the tears and sobs were drowned out by the arguing. She ran out straight into the pouring rain.

The future A.I gang reluctantly tried to follow her out of the door but as they did they entered a whole new room altogether.

***********

The tears were rolling down future Cordy's face. Angel pulled her into a tight hug and the others just gulped alot and kept silent.

"They still don't know I know!" Cordy sobbed into Angels shoulder.

"Not that they really care" she went on.

"It's ok baby. Sshh" Angel stroked her hair.

She pulled away from him to face the others.

"They're not my family! You guys are!"Cordy said as Fred who was also crying pulled her into a hug. The others joined in and they stood like that for a few minutes.

Cordy went back to Angels side and he put his arms around her waist to comfort her for the next 'piece of the show.'

A past Cordy sat on the red velvet couch. She had brown hair past her shoulders and she wore a blue knee length summer dress. She read a magazine which was perched on her knee although she didn't really look
like she was reading it.

Angel realised that according to his layout this, the sitting room, was were her parents had been arguing.

A man and woman quickly entered the room and past Cordy jumped to her feet.

"Mum! Dad! How was your holiday?" She beamed.

Her mother looked older then her father which wasn't surprising. She wore a yellow pant suitand lots of jewellery and her hair was fastened stylishly on the top of her head. Her father wore grey , smart trousers and a pale blue shirt and was deeply tanned.

"Marvelous darling!" Her mother said kissing each side of Cordy's cheeks.

"We even decided to stay an extra week" her father announced.

"You promised to be home last week, y'know? For my eighteenth birthday!" Cordy tried not to look upset.

"Darling I'm sorry. Oh well there's always next year!" Her mother smiled.

"Well here's $90 go buy something nice!" Her father took some cash out of his leather wallet.

"Thanks dad" Cordy tried not to look disappointed.

"Well first things first! It looks like you've put on alittle weight and are those frowns? What have you done to your hair? Why are you wearing those clothes? I don't know what we're going to do with you! I go away for two months and look at the state of you!" Her mother looked appauled.

The room went blurry as it spun around making the fang gang ill.

***********

When it stopped they were chained up in the old house on katkon hill, in the cellar. When the room came back into focus they saw Bernard Hart standing infront of them looking very smug with himself.

"Did you have a nice trip?" He smirked.

Part 10

"I prefere something with a beach and maybe a nice restaurant. Or a ski condo!" Cordelia grinned cockily.

Bernard Hart scowled just long enough for them to see his disappointment but quickly his face returned to a devilish grin.

"Well I always knew it would either make or break you guys. Either way it doesn't really matter. The other way was gonna be easier because I was gonna let you vote who you wanted to die first. This way has more satisfaction for me since I don't only get to see you die one by one but I get to see all your faces!" He cackled.

"What was the point of all of that?!" Gunn spat.

"I already told you for fun! Did I tell you guys what this place was used for? Well still is really" Bernard asked .

"Are you trying to bore us to death?" Angel questioned as he took a deep breathe to show his annoyance.

"No but would that work?" Bernard inquired without wiping the grin on his face.

"Probably I mean if you take into account the high oxygen level in here and the fact that you are boring enough to make us fall asleep, you could probably kill us then" Fred babbled at full speed.

Bernard pursed his lips and grinded his teeth as to make the blow less painful.

"Well why don't I leave you to say your goodbyes while I get my new toys to try out on you" he walked out never taking his eyes off them.

"So, we have a plan right?" Wesley asked, fearing the answer.

There was a silence as everyone looked at one another waiting to hear some sort of plan.

"How about we get out of here?" Gunn said sarcastically.

"And how do you suggest we do that?" Wes asked annoyed.

"Angel can't you use your vamp strength on these chains, man?" Gunn asked Angel.

"I can try" he replied suggestively.

He tried to pull his wrists apart to break the chain that bound them together. He gave out a roar as the chains started to buckle.

"I can't fully break it!" he said fustratedly.

Suddenly Cordy went into glow mode, blinding the others. She went pure white and the light faded out.

"Cordy! Could you warn us when you do that!" Angel blinked.

"Good one Cordy!"Wesley said cheerily, the only one who had caught on.

They both stepped forward rubbing their wrists as the others, slowly realising, did the same.

"You melted the chains Cor!" Fred stated the obvious.

Gunn and Fred quickly embraced eachother and Angel pulled Cordy into a long slow kiss.

"Bloody hell!" Wesley huffed.

"Which way out?" Angel took charge still holding onto Cordy.

"How about that door there?" A voice said from the doorway.

"Mr.Hart!" Fred yelped.

"The one and only! Looks like I didn't think the whole chain thing through" he shrugged.

He took a cell phone from his suit jacket and dialled a number still blocking the doorway.

"Back up. The cellar"he said into the phone and discarded it across the floor as he once again turned into the demon.

His demon self was purple and his face scrunched up. His hands and feet were clumped together probably due to very old age. His clothes tore again making him look like the incredible hulk.

"How many suits do you have?" Cordy frowned.

"So who wants to die first?" Bernards voice was hoarse.

"How about you?" Angel said as he swung a fist at him.

Bernard saw it coming and with his quick reflexes managed to grab the fist full on and send Angel hurling into the wall.

Gunn was next up swinging the left over chain above him and threw it towards Bernard as it wrapped around his ankles pulling him to the floor.

Bernard gave out a roar as he hit the floor but it only put him off a second as he grabbed the chain and snapped it into two, releasing him.

Angel was back on his feet and jumped on the demon Bernard had become. As he wrestled with him Angel said;

"I thought you said you wasn't planning on killing any of us?"

"That was then this is now!" He shouted as he grabbed Angels wrists and threw him back against the wall.

"Well I thought you were a vampire! How come you didn't smell the demon part of me?" Bernard said as he approached Angel slowly.

"It might have something to do with all that Old Spice you wear" Angel replied as he scrambled to his feet.

It was at that moment Angel realised that other demons had slipped into the room and the others were all battling against them.

Gunn was up against two yellow demons with swords. They had a huge mouth with plenty of sharp teeth and red eyes which looked very evil and scary. Gunn managed to swing one of the demons to the floor which distracted the other demon for a second and gave Gunn the advantage to pull the sword from him and use it against them.

Wesley was figthing with a very fast black demon. The demon had six red horns and a long tail . He used both of these as weapons and moved so fast Wesley didn't even notice it trip him up.

Fred had backed up to the wall with a demon swayed its way towards her. The demon had very large broad shoulders with huge claws and what looked like a nasty appetite. He licked his lips flashing his red tongue which was the same colour of the rest of his body.

Cordy stood inbetween two blue demons which had big black eyes. They had scales down their backs and steam coming from their nostrils. The one to her left roared breathing out fire at her but she just missed it as she tucked into a roll and moved out of the way.

Angel looked back at Bernard stood in front of him. He had gained a few more inches since turning into his demon self. Bernard grin and his flesh started to move on his chest. His chest started to rip open and he lurched forward and cried out in pain. A large tentacle suddenly burst through the hole in his chest and flung it self at Angel.

***********

Gunn shoved the sword at the demon stood in front of him and it slid through its stomach easily. The demon roared in pain and said something in its own language. Gunn pulled the sword back out of the demon causing red blood to squirt out everywhere. The demon hit the floor with a smack, as the other took to its feet. The demon now standing thrust the sword towards Gunn but Gunn used his sword to stop it. They fought with the swords for awhile as they clashed and moved fluently. Gunn suddenly took a sharp twist of the sword which caught the demon by surprise as he decapitated it.

The demon's head and body slammed to the floor with a sickening plop and the blood poured out. The other demon grabbed for Gunns ankles and brought him crashing down on the floor next to him. Gunn quickly stuck his sword into the demons head and it swayed its head slightly and then hit the floor, dead.

***********

Wesley shuffled across the floor as the black demon swung its tail at him. He scrambled to his feet and jumped above the tail the demon kept wafting at him. The demon moved very quickly and rammed into Wesley full speed sending him crashing to the floor again. Wesley looked down at his torn shirt and noticed six different cuts causing blood to trickle down his midriff. He knelt trying to fing the energy to get to his feet. The demon came at him again with his tail but this time Wesley managed to grab on to it.

He climbed up its tail and up to its shoulders. The demon swung around causing Wesley to loose his grip for a split second and fall back down to its tail. He once again struggled to climb up the demon and wrapped his arms around its neck, barely missing the horns. Using all his strength Wesley put the demon in a head lock and twist hard until he heard a the snap of its spine. The demon fell hard on the floor and Wesley was thrown across the room.

***********

Fred looked around her looking for a way to escape from the demon which was approaching her. The demon thrust a sharp claw at her but she managed to duck in time. She scrambled out of the way. The demon seemed to be very tough but not at all smart. She stood up and tried to creep away but the demon cocked its head in the air and sniffed. It turned and looked straight at her and suddenly pounced. It brought her crashing to the floor. She tried to push it off but its large shoulders didn't even move. Fred remembered that she'd brought some extra ingredients for the spell incase it went wrong. The demon licked its lips as she searched her pockets. She found the small container with the reagon acid in it, took off the cap and threw it into the demons eyes.

The demon rolled off her as steam poured from the demons eyes. While it was fussing over its eyes, Fred grabbed one of its claws and used it against it. She took the claw and stuck it in to the demons chest. Thankfully it managed to penetrate the skin and went straight through it heart. It tried to reach for her but didn't quite make it as it slowly breathed out its last breath.

***********

Cordy pulled out of her tuck and roll. The blue demons both turned towards her and started forward. The one in front opened its jaw wide and the flames reached out for her. She quickly jumped out of the way but lost her footing and fell to the floor. They both started to surround her and she had to think fast. Without meaning to she began to glow, blinding the demons. This seemed to have no real effect but managed to send the demons back a few steps. They were a few steps Cordy need. She got back up as the light dimmed and jumped over the heads of the demons and landed behind them. Before they had chance to turn around she grabbed the first demons scale and kicked its legs hard which sent it to the floor. She grabbed it by the nostrils and banged its head against the wall which momenterally made it dizzy.

The other one came at her and opened its mouth so the fire could get her. She stood the other demon infront of her using it as a shield and the other demons fire hit it, burning it alive. The demon shrieked in agony as Cordy dropped it on the floor. The other demon stepped over its body as it advanced towards Cordy. She tried to move backwards but fell over the left over chain. She grabbed the chain and jumped over the demon again and twisted it around its neck before it could do anything about it. Cordy pulled the chain tight preventing the demon from breathing. It turned around to face her and opened it jaw to shoot fire at her, but instead only steam came out. It scratched at the chain but it was too late as it gave out a gasp and hit the floor.

***********

Angel jumped out of the way but the tentacle grabbed his ankle and pulled him back towards Bernard.

The others bruised and aching gather behind him and were trying to sort out a plan. Angel noticed Wesley and Fred slip out of the room as Cordy and Gunn crept up to Bernard from behind.

"This won't kill me y'know" Angel stated. He said it hoping that he would be too distracted to notice Cordy and Gunn.

"I know but this will" Bernard said. He walked over to a small door next to him and opened it to reveil a large fire pit.

He tightened his grib on Angel but soon let go as Gunn swung the sword at the tentacle cutting into two pieces.

Bernard swirled round outraged.

"You think you can hurt me?" He roared.

"I've lived for millions of years and no-one has ever defeated me!" He boomed.

"Well there's a first time for everything!" Gunn shot back.

The tentacle grew back again and his chest ripped open even more to reveil even more.

One of them grabbed Angel and another grabbed Gunn. It brought them off the ground swinging them in the air. Cordy took a leap and jumped on top of him. He was a little shocked at first but just as she was about to shove a sword into his head a tentacle grabbed her around the waist.

"You know? I knda liked you but now well you can be the first to die!" He cackled.

He tightened his grip around Cordys waist and she gasped as the breath was taken out of her. Her face started to go purple.

"Cordy! NO!" Angel shouted as he struggled to get free.

"Oh no it looks like it's over" Bernard said as Cordy passed out.

"Not quite!" Wesley said from behind.

Fred was saying something whilst stood in a circle they'd made.

"Come forth!" Wesley finished off the spell.

"NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN BERNARD!!"The voices echoed.

They had once again called apon the ghosts of those who Bernard had sacrificed.

"What!?" Bernard gasped.

"WE KNOW YOU ARE GLAD TO SEE US!!" the voices laughed.

Suddenly there was a cool breeze and white vapours floated through the air and into Bernard.

"What's going on?" Fred asked.

"The spirits are getting their pay back!" Wesley grinned.

Thousand of the spirits floated through the air and into Bernard.

"NO!! AArrrgghhh!" He cried out.

The tentacles let go of Angel, Gunn and Cordy and went back into Bernards chest. Bernard hit the floor and started to spasm. His chest started to get bigger and bigger and finally exploded sending pieces of him flying everywhere.

Angel ran to Cordy as she lied unmoving on the floor.

The others crowded around her and the room was once again still and quiet.

"She's still alive" Angel said happily as he gently lifted her head up.

Her eyes slowly opened and she smiled at the others.

"Is it over? Did we kill them?" She asked gently.

"It's over" Angel said as he brushed a soft kiss on her forehead.

"But technically the ghost killed them" Fred told. She walked over to Gunn and linked arms.

Angel helped Cordy to her feet and put an arm over her shoulder.

"I can't believe you killed a little girl, dawg" Gunn said as they slowly walked up the cellar stairs.

"I can't believe Fred killed a dog. I mean I had an excuse I was evil and all" Angel smirked.

"Well I can't believe Cordy took crap from her parents" Wesley spoke up.

"And I can't believe you didn't tell me about your sister" Fred poked Gunn in the ribs.

"Oh Wes" Angel called behind him.

"Yes?" Wesley caught up to him and Cordy.

"Don't ever kiss Cordy again because that was just..awful. Plus I'd have to kill you" Angel said jokingly.

"Angel! He's only joking Wes" Cordy grinned.

"Wes knows that! Don't ya Wes" Angel playingly punched Wes on the arm but meant it to hurt.

"Yes" Wes shot Angel a look as he rubbed his arm.

"I'm hungry" Fred moaned.

"We know!" Everyone said.

"It's good to see things back to normal" Cordy told Angel.

"You think this is normal?" Angel smiled.

They both leant in and kissed one another softly and slowly but couldn't help giggling.

"Are you feeling alright?" Angel asked as he pulled away.

"I'm fine" she said as they continued to walk out of the building.

"Good" Angel waggled his eyebrows at her before opening the car door for her to get in.

"What a dork!" She sighed happily to herself.

End.
