Humor and of course C/A vibes and all that good stuff.

Feedback:

He sat by the window in her room, as he did every night since he found out she was gone. Being surrounded by her things kept him at peace, even though now, she didn't remember any of them, or him.

He hated that. He hated that she was so close yet still so far away from him. And he thought being trapped in a box at the bottom of the ocean for months by his own son was torture!

He hated that look of fear on her face whenever he looked at her, he hated that she stepped away from him whenever he came too close to her. All he wanted was to hug her, just once, he was so happy to have her back. And he couldn't even do that.

She didn't know him, she didn't trust him. She trusted Connor, though.

He stifled the growl that was itching up his throat, when he felt her.

"Cordelia?"

"Yeah. I guess.", she whispered.

Relief flooded through his body. She's back! She's going to stay here with me where she belongs!

'I need to play it cool, don't want to scare her off again'. "Hi."

"Uh, the girl, Fred? Told me you were up here."

"Oh. Is something wrong?"

"No. Not exactly. I wanted to talk to you." She made her way further into the room.

"About?" His throat suddenly dry, he forced himself to swallow.

"Connor."

His brow creased. "Oh." Sounding somewhat disappointed, he continued, "what about him?"

"He's... screwed up."

"I'm aware of that, thanks."

"He's young, and confused, and lonely. And I like him."

"Ok." Angel wasn't sure where she was going with this.

"The thing is, he... well, we were training and-"

"Training?" He didn't like the sound of that.

"Yeah, and he... he kinda... there was grabbage." She bluntly stated.

"You mean, he...?"

"Copped a feel? Yes."

Angel could barely contain the anger brewing up inside of him. The only thing keeping him from vamping out was the fact that Cordy was there and he didn't want to run her off. She came to him. He was going to try and help her. Clearing his throat, he began to speak, "I'm sorry. He shouldn't have taken advantage of you like that."

"That's what I said... after I slapped him."

"You slapped him?", he let out a small smile of admiration.

She nodded. "I felt kinda bad about it, too. I mean, he's been nice to me. Took me in, brings me food."

"But that doesn't make what he did ok, especially if you didn't want him to touch you like that. And since you slapped him, I'm guessing you didn't." A look of concern suddenly crossed his features. "You didn't, right?"

"No! He's a kid for crying out loud."

"Good."

"Anyway, I was hoping that maybe you could talk to him, being his father and all. He knows about sex and all that?"

"I honestly don't know. We... you and I, had plans to talk to him about it... together."

"Oh."

"Did you say anything to him about it?"

"No. I told him that he's a young hormonal boy who's living with an extremely attractive older woman. It's only natural for him to develop some type of feelings for me."

Angel chuckled.

"What's so funny?", she asked, confused.

"Nothing, it's just... you sound... you're starting to sound more like yourself." He smiled warmly at her.

She couldn't help herself, she returned his smile. "So, you'll talk to him? And I mean talk. I don't want you to yell at him or anything. He made a mistake."

Angel sighed. "I'll talk to him."

"Thanks."

An awkward silence descended upon them for a moment. Angel spoke, "Do you want anything? Something to eat? Are you hungry?"

"No. Connor and I ordered a pizza before. They even deliver to old rundown warehouses! I should be heading back."

Angel frowned. "Ok."

"Bye."

"Cor, wait."

She stopped and turned back to face him.

"Lorne, you know, green guy? He said that he has a spell that would help restore your memories."

"A spell?"

"Yeah." Noticing her lack of happiness, he asked, "What's wrong? Don't you want your memory back?"

"Of course I do. But... a spell? Is it safe?"

"Oh yeah. 99.9999 percent safe."

"Can I think about it?"

"Sure. You know where to find me."

"I do."

She left. He moved back to the window and watched her as she left the hotel, and walked down the street.

His eyes flicking gold, he lightly growled, "Connor, my boy. You are so grounded."

End.
