Part 22

As the water started to fall down, splashing her face and body, Cordy just stood there immobile, seemingly unaware with what was happening. She couldn't speak or move, still completely in shock to what had happened last night. All through the night, all she could do was sit on her bed, crumpled up, unable to cry or feel anything. She just felt numb. Numb all over. It took all of her strength to even get up from her bed that morning, but she needed to. She needed to take away his scent from her body. To take away the shame that she felt.

How could she even explain in words? There were no words. Cordy just felt cold, as she hugged herself. Her breasts hurt, her legs ached, her insides were sore. How she wished that she could be in her apartment where Dennis could fetch her a hot bath, and scrub her lovingly on her back. Now she was completely alone. No one knew anything. All they knew was Cordelia, bitch of Sunnydale High. No one knew that she was Cordy. No one knew how much pain she felt, that her heart was completely shattered after last night. As she flashed back to him, his hands, his lips, his tongue, his cruel, taunting words, fear overwhelmed her. ~What am I going to do now? How can I face everyone? After what he did?

Cordy had always thought that she could see this through alone. That Angelus couldn't really hurt her, because he wasn't Angel. As long as she was able to get through the day and be with Angel in her dreams, she would be fine. But now she knew that she couldn't even escape Angelus in her dreams. He was always there, watching her, creeping around, waiting to turn her dreams into nightmares. As much as she didn't want to admit it, she needed help, desperately. Even before tonight, she had been fairly unsuccessful in looking for the ring, therefore the events that had just transpired only affirmed her conclusions: she needed to find someone to talk to.

***

Giles staggered and stumbled into the library the next morning, yawning and wiping his eyes. He had stayed up all night trying to figure out ways to keep Angelus from getting into Buffy's house. He spent all night searching through book after book and finally he had found a ritual. And it was so simple too. Too bad he couldn't have found it sooner. The fact that he had to drag himself out of bed this morning was a little too much to bear. He yawned once more and then took a huge gulp of the coffee he had gotten that morning. ~God, I don't how anyone could be up this bloody early to..

"Hi Giles." Cordy said suddenly, as she suddently appeared face to face with Giles, making him jump up on the spot, spilling his coffee everywhere.

"Cordelia! Where did you- You nearly startled me half to death!" Giles exclaimed as he looked down at his suit. Surprisingly enough, there wasn't any damage on it.

"I'm so sorry Giles. I really am. I didn't mean to startle you." Cordy explained, as she tried to help tidy him up.

Suddenly Giles looked up, puzzled with Cordelia's sense of actual concern among other things. "Cordelia, why are you here so early? I don't ever think that I've ever seen you here this early before." As he looked at her more closely, he could see something was deeply troubling her. "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine Giles- I guess-" Cordy replied, looking down, as fidgeted with her clothes and started to pace. "Actually-I need your help."

"What's wrong?" Giles asked as he was concerned with Cordelia's nervous and peculiar behaviour. He had never seen her like this. Something was seriously wrong. And then he had an epiphany. "Are you still concerned with Angel getting into your car because I've just figured out a ritual that can he.."

"No, no Giles. That's not it." Cordy replied and sighed. "This is something else."

"Something else?" Giles asked as he became confused again. "What is it?"

"Giles-"Cordy started. " Um-. You see- oh this is so hard-.Giles, I think- I think that you should be sitting down for this one." She put her hands on his shoulders and then montioned him to sit on a chair.

"Okay." Cordy said as she looked at Giles' bewildered expression. "I know this is going to be really hard to explain but I really need you to keep an open mind about this. Also this might get you confused as well, so here goes-"

***

Cordy then began telling the tale once more, all while feeling very sad and weird that she had to tell the story to Giles once more, remembering how he took it the last time. Without Angel by her side, it was a lot more difficult to tell the story, but she needed to tell him everything. Well, maybe not everything. The details about the future were still untold as well as she decided not to say anything about what had happened last night. The reality of the situation hadn't really sunk into her yet, and she just couldn't bear retelling the whole story, reliving it all again. The guilt would just- overwhelm her.

"Did I lose you there Giles?" Cordy said finally as she finished her long, impossible tale. "And I'm sorry for telling you all of this but I don't know where else to turn to. And I know this is a very troubling time for all of us and you already have so much to think about but-"

"Cordelia, please." Giles said, as he looked at her pacing about around the library. "I'm glad that you told me. Yes, the story did take me a little aback but after what we've all been through with Angel losing his soul, I don't doubt that time travel could be possible, but I must say, it's an extraordinary tale."

"Really?" Cordy said with a sign of relief. Who knew that Giles would take it so easily when a year from now, he wouldnt have 'bought into it so simply. "Yeah, it's been quite a ride." Cordy replied, and gave a heavy sigh ~You don't even know the half of it. "So do you understand Giles? I need to find the ring that brought Angel and I back here so that we can go home."

"Yes, I understand, but Cordelia, Angel's a monster now." Giles asked. "You can't possibly think he can go back to the future with you now. He's dangerous, he'll kill you."

"Giles, it'll be okay." Cordy assured him. " I don't want to go into details, but he does get his soul back soon- that's why I need your help to search for the ring quickly."

" I'll do everything in my power to help you." Giles answered with a little smile. He then stood up and walked into his office. Cordy followed. "So do you have a picture of this ring?"

"I drew a sketch of it last night." Cordy replied as she took out the drawing from her purse. " Um- I couldn't sleep last night so I just sat up and drew it."

"Thank you- you know Cordelia, I didn't really know you could draw." Giles said, as he held the picture up to take a closer look.

"Yeah- I've had some practice." Cordy replied as the thought back to the countless times she had to draw the demons that she would have in her visions. Just thinking about it made her think of home.

"Hopefully we'll find the ring soon." Giles said with a little hope, as he watched Cordelia stare off into space. "Don't you fret. With the ritual that I found, Angelus won't bother you again." As he tried to reassure her, he then put his hand on Cordelia's shoulder, however the fact that she had slightly jerked away at his touch made him worry. "Cordelia, are you sure you are alright? There is nothing else that you want to tell me? I mean you can trust me."

"Giles, I'm fine, I really am." Cordy answered as she focused back on Giles, giving him a smile. "I guess I'm just tired. That insomnia is probably getting to me. Or maybe it's just the fact that it's a little hard to concentrate when you stuck in the past." She gave him another smile.

"Alright."Giles said as he smiled back. "Well, I have put up some flyers around the school, but come by and see me later. I'll give you the directions for the ritual."

"Thank you Giles for the spell and for promising to keep this a secret." Cordy replied. "You don't know how grateful I am that you're always willing to help, even when I came to you the last time."

"It's so odd that you know how I'll be a year from now or even later." Giles remarked as started to walk towards the hallway.

"Well, you're always the same. A great reliable man." Cordy said, as she watched him walk away.

***

"Oh, yes, yes. That's it." Giles said as he handed some more flyers to some students. "Could you, um, hang those up?" The students nod as they walk away. "Thank you."

"Buffy." Giles replied as he saw her coming towards him. " So, uh, so how was your night?"

"Sleepless, but no human fatalities." Buffy replied with relief.

"I-I found a ritual to revoke the invitation to vampires." Giles exclaimed.

"Oh, thank goodness. I actually had to talk my grandmother into switching cars with me last night." Cordy sighed with relief as she approached them.

"Um, the-the-the, uh, the ritual's fairly basic, actually." Giles answered as he was taken aback by Cordelia's sudden appearance. After talking to her that morning and seeing her now, it was like she was totally a different person. "It's just the recitation of a few rhyming couplets, burning of, uh, moss herbs, sprinkling of holy water..."

"All stuff I have in my house." Buffy replied as they continued walking down the hall.

"Hanging of crosses, that sort of thing." Giles finished, as he turned towards Buffy and Cordelia. " I would suggest that tonight all of you help each other with performing the ritual."

"All of us?" Buffy asked as she looked at Cordelia. Giles couldn't be serious. I mean, she was already dealing with enough problems then nevertheless spending a night with Cordelia. "Are you serious?"
"Yeah, you're joking right?" Cordy added as she tried to say what Queen C would in this situation. However, it did kind of freak her out a little. Even after all of these years, she still didn't really get along with Buffy and you couldn't really call them friends persay.

"Yes," Giles reassured them, as he pulled out a copy of the instructions and gave it to Buffy. "And Willow too. By having you all work together, performing the ritual as well as preparing your houses, or in Cordelia's case, her car would be easier-.Just- try not kill each other."

"Fine." Buffy replied quickly. "Cordelia, I'll.. see you after school I guess." Buffy then sauntered off to her next class.

As she left, once again, Giles and Cordy were alone.

"Don't worry Cordelia. It'll be fine. I get onto the whereabouts of the ring tonight." Giles said as he looked at her. It was funny as he thought about her really being from the future. He never noticed it before, but now that he looked at her, he could see that there was something different about her. Although at first glance, she was exactly the same, her eyes told a different story. They were tired, sad, and a lot mature than the Cordelia that he knew. The fact that he could see genuine pain and anguish on her face made him worry and wonder what had happened to her that made her that way. He quickly hid his thoughts from her and gave her a reassuring smile.

"Yeah, I know." Cordy sighed heavily. " I just wish this could all be over soon, you know."

"It will be. It will all be over soon." Giles assured her, as he watched her walk away.

"No." Cordy answered quietly, as she looked back at Giles. "It's only beginning."

***

"I'm gonna have a hard time explaining this to my dad." Willow exclaimed as she finished to nail a cross to the French doors in her room. She then used her curtains to hide them.

"You really think it'll bother him?" Buffy asked, as she looked at her.

"Ira Rosenberg's only daughter nailing crucifixes to her bedroom wall? I have to go over to Xander's house just to watch 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' every year." Willow said with a heavy sigh.

"I see your point." Buffy said understanding the situation.

Cordy looked over to them, as they were talking, sympathizing with Willow, while at the same time, pretending she didn't care by staring at Willow's aquarium.

"Although it is worthwhile to see him do the Snoopy Dance." Willow added, as she put down her hammer.

"Willow," Cordy began as she turned towards them, with her arms crossed. "are you aware that there are no fish in your aquarium?"

Willow then began to frown and whine, remembering her beloved fish.

"You know, Cordelia, we've already done your car. Call it a night if you want." Buffy answered, trying to limit the amount of damage that Cordelia could do.

~Oh God, I didn't mean it-but she'll never know- " Right. Thanks. And you know I'd do the same for you if you had a social life." Cordy exclaimed, wishing that she could just be herself instead a total bitch. ~I better go before I say something that I'll regret even more.

Cordy then picked her coat up from Willow's bed and sees a blank envelope there. ~ Angelus-don't panic- don't let them see you panic.

"Oh." Cordy said simply, as she picked up the envelope "This must be for you."

She then hands the envelope to Willow, as Willow gives Buffy a worried glance and opens it. When she sees what's in it she hands it to Buffy.

"It's for you." Willow replied as she reluctantly watched Buffy open the envelope.

Buffy unfolds the paper and sees a pencil sketch of her mother sleeping.

" Mom." Buffy exclaimed in fear.

Joyce was driving home in her Jeep. It had been a long and tiring day. There was work and then she had to go the supermarket. All that she wanted to do was to see Buffy and then go to bed. However, as Joyce came to a stop into the driveway, she saw a dark figure approaching. [I]~Oh no-not him!
she thought to herself, as he approaches her open car window.

"Mrs. Summers, I need to talk to you." Angelus exclaimed.

" You're Angel." Joyce replied as she got out of the car with the groceries and gave him a look over. From the moment that she had seen him, she knew there was trouble about him. He was too old, too experienced for her daughter and now, his eyes. They were cold and calculating. He looked evil.

" Did Buffy tell you about us?" Angelus asked as he closed the car door. ~Man, I didn't know that she would talk to her dear mummy about us-And from the looks of things, her mom is not that bad looking-wonder what it'd be like to drink her-you know grab her neck, devour her, sucking her until there is no more-lifeless body in my hands. Make the perfect gift. Wow, am I thoughtful!

"She told me she wants you to leave her alone." Joyce said bluntly.

"I-I can't. I can't do that." Angelus insisted as he approached her, trying to convince her of his desperate intentions. ~I can't leave her alone- all I want to do stalk her and kill her- not that much to ask, is it?

"You're scaring her." Joyce continued, wondering when he would just take a hint and leave.

"You have to help me." Angelus pleaded as Joyce started toward the house. "Joyce...I need, I need to be with her. Y-you can convince her. You have to convince her." ~Convince her to come out here so I can wring her neck.

"Look," Joyce answered firmly, as he was standing in front of her. "I'm telling you to leave her alone."

"You have to talk to her for me, Joyce. Tell her I need her." Angelus continued with his pleading.

"Please, look, I-I just wanna get inside, okay?" Joyce replied, as her tone of voice became wracked with fear. He was beginning to scare her, and as he got closer, she felt as if she was being cornered. All she needed to do was get into the house, that's it. Joyce then lets go of her bag with one hand and rummaged in her purse for her
keys, but she can't keep her grip on the bag, and it falls. Several oranges roll out and around. Angelus picked the bag and scrambled to pick a few of the oranges up.

"You don't understand, Joyce." Angelus kept insisting, pretending to be desperate, as Joyce was still fumbling for her keys. "I'll die without Buffy. She'll die without me."

"Are you threatening her?" Joyce demanded, as the thought of Buffy dying just petrified her.

"Please..." Angelus continued, as he got closer. "Why is she doing this to me?"

"I'm calling the police now." Joyce exclaimed fiercely now. ~Oh forget about the groceries! I just want to get into the house NOW. As she got to the door, Joyce continued to fumble with her keys. ~Come on Joyce! Get the damn key into the door.[I] As Angelus tried to block her, she finally got the key into the door. [I]~Yes! Finally!

~Oh no Joyce-you're not getting away so fast. Angelus thought to himself." I haven't been able to sleep since the night we made love." He blurted out suddenly as a small smile appeared on his face [I]~Oops! Did I just say that? Silly me!

Joyce then looked back at him in shock. ~No... Not that-not my sweet baby-not Buffy.. with him!

"I need her. I know you understand." Angelus continued once more.

"Just leave us alone." Joyce answered back, not wanting to hear anymore of his ranting and revelations, as she quickly got into the house.

~Well, if you're going to be so fucking difficult, I barge in myself. Just like-WHAT THE FUCK? As Angelus tried to follow Joyce, he was blocked by an invisible barrier. As he struggled to get inside, he saw from the doorway, Buffy and Willow come down the stairs. ~Those stupid bitches- As they came down, Willow started to read a Latin verse from a book.

"Hicce verbis consensus rescissus est. " Willow chanted. (By these strong unanimous words [Angelus' permission to enter] is rescinded.)

"Sorry, Angel. Changed the locks." Buffy said bluntly, as she slams the door in his face.

~Dumb bitch! You're not going to stop me that easily-if I can't have you, then-[/I[ "Buffy, you're going to pay for this!" Angelus yelled from outside.[I]~Oh you're going to fucking pay big time!

Sunnydale High was almost completely quiet now, as almost everyone was gone. However, Jenny was still working at her desk, staring at the computer. Ever since she got here from the magic shop that morning, in any spare moment that she had, she had been working on the translation program for the spell that would restore Angel's soul. As she took a sip of coffee from her mug, she began to stare at the computer once more. She was just so close. ~I'm so close-I can feel it! Jenny began to type a few keystrokes, then stares at the screen again, unaware that behind her, Giles appears and stands in the doorway.

"Hello." Giles said softly.

Jenny jumps in her chair with the sound of his voice and looks at him. Quickly she types a few keystrokes, and the screen changes. She turns back to him.

"Oh! Hi." Jenny said quickly, as she gave him a smile.

" You're working late." Giles observed, as he stepped into her classroom.

" Special project." Jenny replied, hoping that he would buy that.

" Oh." Giles said simply.

"I spoke to Buffy today." Jenny added. She thought about how he looked at her and how much she liked it.

"Oh! Yes?" Giles said surprisingly, as he sat on her desk.

"Mm." Jenny replied as she looked away and smiled. "She said you missed me."Toying with a pencil to occupy her fingers, she looked back at him.

"Well, uh, she's... a meddlesome girl." Giles said, as he felt embarrassed with Buffy's revelation, although part of him was glad since he really did miss her.

"Rupert..." Jenny began, as she looked at him more intensely. "Okay, I don't wanna say anything if I'm wrong, but I may have some news. Now, I need to finish up here. Could I see you later?" She didn't want him to leave, but she was almost finished with the spell. Once it was done, Angel will be back and then she could finally find some time with Rupert.

"Y-yes, yes. You could stop by my house." Giles suggested.

"Okay." Jenny agreed as she gave him a smile.

" Good." Giles said, as he continued to smile as he got up. He smiled wider, then goes.

Jenny then turns her attention back to her computer. ~Once this is done, everything will be good again. Everything will be back to normal-

***

"Finally, I'm done." Cordy said with satisfaction, as she wiped her brow of sweat. She had driven quickly from Buffy's house that night to perform the ritual on her house. She couldn't get Buffy and Willow to help because how was she to explain that Angel had been in her house. There was no way of explaining it. So she went home, and busily fixed everything around the house with the nailing of crosses, and such. It took a little longer because she was alone, but she liked feeling busy. At least she wouldn't have to think about it-think about hi..

*Ring* The sound of the telephone not only interrupted her thoughts but made her jump out of her skin. It was probably her parents calling, saying that they were going to away even longer again. Or maybe Xander, asking her to come out. She gave a heavy sigh and picked up the phone.

"Cordy-" the voice on the phone whispered sexily. "Cordy-"

Cordy began to shut her eyes at the sound of his voice and her body started to shudder in ecstasy but she quickly snapped out of it as remembered what he had done to her.

"What do you want from me?" Cordy demanded. "I don't need this right now."

"Oh come on! I know you're still thinking about last night. You can't deny it." Angelus whispered.

" You don't know what I'm thinking! You don't even know anything about me!" Cordy yelled.

" I know more than you think-I know deep inside you want me. You want me inside of you, my hands all around you, holding you-.making you wet-making you co.." Angelus continued.

"Just stop it! Just stop! I don't want to hear from you! I don't want you near my house or anywhere close to me!" Cordy yelled back as she slammed the phone down.

"Well, too late for that."

Cordy whipped her head towards her window, and there he was. Standing on her lawn, with a cell phone in his hand, and a huge vindictive smile on his face. She stood by her window, completely frozen on the spot.

"I took this off my last meal." Angelus said as he dropped the cell phone on the ground.

"I'm telling you right now. Just leave!" Cordy yelled out the window. "I mean it!"

"Cordy, I'm asking you again- come with me, be my Queen-" Angelus continued, motioning he to come out.

"I've told you before you moron! I'll never go anywhere with you! NEVER!" Cordy replied angrily.

"You can't deny that you're a demon-" Angelus answered back, getting impatient with her. "You're like me- you belong to me."

"I don't belong to anyone!" Cordy said. "And I'm nothing like you!"

"I'm getting a little irritated here Cordy- I'm not going to be waiting for you forever- I'm giving you this one chance. It's this one chance and that's it. I'm not gonna anymore fucking games with you. You come with me or else-just take it dear-I mean, I'm the closest you'll ever get to your dear Angel." Angelus taunted her.

"Well, I'm not taking your offer thanks-now I'm giving you one chance to leave or else." Cordy threatened. She then pulled out a bottle for him to see. "If you don't leave right now, I'm going to throw into your damn face all of the holy water that I have." She then pulled out a cross, as he looked away. "NOW LEAVE!"

He walked away, but yelled back towards her without giving her a second glance. "Don't say that I didn't give you a fucking chance bitch!"

Cordy just looked at him walk away with tears that began to well up into her eyes. No matter what she knew what was to happen, that Angel would come back again, but when she saw him like this, she couldn't help but have her mind wander to the thought that her love would never return.

***

It was definitely time to close up the Magic Shop. Outside, it was pitch black and there were no people in sight. As the shopkeeper started to turn out the light by the front entrance , suddenly a young woman holding a puppy opens the door and steps in.

"Sorry, honey." The shopkeeper said as he blew out some candles.
"We're closed."

He then looks up and sees Drusilla standing there.

"W... What do you want?" the shopkeeper asked nervously.

"Miss Sunshine here tells me you had a visit today." Drucilla replied, as she looked adoringly at her puppy and then looked up again, her expression completely somber. "But she worries." Drucilla continued as she looked at the shopkeeper once more. "She wants to know what you and the mean teacher talked about."

Jenny still remained completely fixed at her computer, determined to finish the spell. She was so focused that she didnt eve'n notice how dark it grew or how late it was.
She began to tap at a few keys, then looks up at the screen. A percent complete
window appears over the Rumanian text, and the bar zips across it.

"Come on, come on..." Jenny said impatiently, as she drummed her fingers on the desk.

The bar disappears, and a translation scrolls up next to the original text.

"That's it!" Jenny proclaimed, exhales in satisfaction and smiled "It's gonna work! This... will work."

She then pops out an unlabeled yellow floppy disk and sets it aside by some
books near the edge of her desk. In the mean time a hardcopy has started to print out. Jenny then wheels her chair over to the printer and looks it over. She looks up and suddenly Angelus sitting in a desk at the back of the class. She gasps and jumps out of her seat.

"Angel..." Jenny began as she moved slowly moves toward the door. "How did you get in here?"

"I was invited." Angelus said simply, as his eyes were fixed on her. " The sign in front of the school... Formatia trans sicere educatorum."

"Enter all ye who seek knowledge." Jenny translated.

"What can I say? I'm a knowledge seeker." Angelus replied as he gave a laugh and walk towards her.

"Angel, I-I-I've got good news." Jenny announced, although she was frightened to the core.

" I heard." Angelus answered back. "You went shopping at the local boogedy-boogedy store." As he surveys her desk, he sees the Orb and picks it up) "The Orb of Thesulah. If memory serves, this is supposed to summon a person's soul... from the ether... store it until it can be transferred." The Orb begins to glow as he looks into it. He glances up at Jenny for an instant. She edges away from him.

"You know what I hate most about these things?" Angelus declared, as he heaves the orb into the chalkboard behind her as she screams. It then shatters into hundreds of pieces and a lot of dust. "They're so damn fragile." He continues as he flashes a quick smile and changes his expression in an instant. "Must be that shoddy gypsy craftsmanship, huh?"

Jenny then tried to get out of the room, but realizes that she has backed into the wall. As she looks at Angelus, she trembles in fear. She starts to inch her way toward the door. In the meantime, Angelus reaches over to the PC and turns the monitor so he can see it.

"I never cease to be amazed how much the world has changed in just two and a half centuries." Angelus observes, as he glared at the screen.

Jenny finally reached the door and tries to open it. It's locked. Angelus then turns the monitor back around.

"It's a miracle to me. You, you put the secrets to restoring my soul in here..."Angelus continued as he points at the screen and then shoves it off her desk and unto the floor. The monitor shatters and sparks and starts to burn. Angelus then starts to tear the printout from the printer. "It comes out here." Angelus looks at loat the paper "'The Ritual of Restoration.' Wow. This, this brings back memories." ~Too bad no one gonna read it he thought to himself as he starts to tear the printout in half.

"Wait. That's your..." Jenny began.

"Oh, my cure?" Angelus says as he finishes tearing. "No, thanks. Been there, done that, and deja vu just isn't what it used to be. My... Isn't this my lucky day." Angelus smiles as he sees a fire beginning to spark from her computer. "The computer... and the pages." He smiles wider as he holds the papers over the fire and it burn. Once they have all been burnt, he starts to warm his hands over the fire. " Looks like I get to kill two birds with one stone."

Angelus then begins to crouche over the fire to warm himself more. Jenny, out of any choices, starts toward the back door. Angelus looks back up at her, morphing into his game face in an instant.

"And teacher makes three." Angelus finished.

Jenny starts to run for it, but Angelus roars and quickly jumps and grabs a hold of her.

"No!" she screamed in fear.

He then throws her back into the locked door, and it breaks open. She looks back at him, scrambles to her feet and begins to run.

"Oh, good. I need to work up an appetite first." Angelus declared in satisfaction.

Jenny starts to run like she's never done before and opens the door to the lounge area towards another set of door to outside, but they are locked. She runs back into the lounge, sees Angelus coming and runs further down the hall. Angelus pulls open the doors and follows her at a fast walk.

Jenny then bursts through the door and runs along the colonnade. Angelus is not far behind, and continues after her at a quick pace. Soon he starts to run as well. Jenny keeps running, checking behind her every so often. She reaches the next building and struggles with the door. She looks back and sees Angelus running toward
her with an evil grin on his face. She yanks hard at the door several more times before it opens, and she runs in. Jenny then pulls the door closed behind her and Angelus slams into it. ~Damn it! Why the hell am I surrounded by all of these bitches-I mean, all I want is to kill them-

She starts to run down the hall. Angelus has to yank at the door a couple of times before it opens for him, too, and he runs in after her. A cleaning cart is in the hall by the stairs, and Jenny grabs it and pushes it into Angelus. He slams into it and flies over it and onto the floor while she rushes up the steps. Jenny runs up and out of view. As she looks down, Angelus is nowhere to be seen. He has completely vanished. Jenny then continues towards a landing and all of a sudden she has run right into a waiting Angelus. She screams when he grabs hold of her. He chuckles and looks into her face. He puts one hand around behind her head and touches her lips with the fingers of his other. As he touches Jenny, his mind begins to wander towards thoughts of Cordy. He shakes his head to refocus again and looks deeply into Jenny's frightened eyes. "Sorry, Jenny, this is where you get off."

He takes his fingers from her lips and puts his hand under her chin. In one swift movement he twists her head and snaps her neck. Her body collapses to the floor. He looks up and around, breathing heavily from the running and the excitement.

"Ah... I never get tired of doing that." Angelus declared as the smile on his face widens. ~One down, two more to go-

End.
