Part 1

"Uh, guys? I don't think we're in Kansas anymore," Erin said as she looked around at her surroundings.

"Oh this is perfect. Next time we decide to help out, remind me not to," Alonna sighed. "This kind of thing always happens…should've known…" she finished, mumbling to herself.

Erin looked around anxiously. She gazed up the somehow familiar street, and then down it again. Where was she, and what was with the serious case of déjà vu? More importantly, where was… "BETH! BETHANY!" Erin quickly turned to Alonna. "Aly, where's Beth? She- she was with us right? I mean she's ok?" Erin twirled around, and around.

"Geez! Panic much?" Beth asked appearing from behind a tree.

"Oh my God, are you okay? You scared me!" Erin felt relief flood her, as she clutched at Beth's arm.

"I'm ok…I guess…" Beth answered. She tugged herself away from Erin's death grip, and rubbed her arm. Erin was really strong, and they both forgot that fact sometimes. Beth knew where they were, but for some reason it looked different. It was surreal; they were there, but not really. Oh God, now she was thinking like Oz. "Hey, you guys, I know where we are."

"Huh?" Both Erin and Alonna asked at the same time, giving each other confused looks.

"I know where we are. Girls, not for the first time, welcome to Sunnydale!" Beth made a Vanna White gesture towards a small sign that read: Welcome to Sunnydale.

"This is bad….this is very bad…" Erin rambled as she continued to pace the ground. Why were they in Sunnydale? They had been fighting a demon, and then BAM here they were. Was it a spell? Maybe Beth tried to do a spell to kill the demon, and she mixed up the words. Yes, that was it. "Hey, Beth, you did a spell to kill the demon, right?" She asked hopefully.

"No, you had the situation pretty much covered, and mom always says try not to use magic all the time." Beth replied as she watched Erin pace. Erin was just like her father in so many respects, he paced constantly. She even had the overly concerned and overly protective thing down pat. "Erin, stop pacing. You'll wear a hole in the ground."

"I know, but I'm trying to think," Erin answered frustrated, "I can only think of one option."

"And that is?" Alonna spoke up for the time since they had been informed of their whereabouts.

"Girls, I think it's time we paid a visit to Buffy."

***

"I can't believe we're doin' this. I mean, are you insane?! You know we're not exactly Buffy's favorite people," Alonna tried to reason with Erin as they approached the door to the Summer's house. The journey over to the house had consisted of a lot of arguing and about seven dead vampires, well deader. Even with the brief intermission the vampires had provided Alonna had worried. Alonna knew when she wasn't wanted, and she was never wanted by 'The Scoobies.'

"We have to, come on." Erin climbed the steps and knocked on the door. Erin couldn't believe she was doing this. Alonna was right. The Scoobies hated them, but they wouldn't turn them down if they were really in trouble, would they? They may dislike them greatly, but they weren't cold hearted. The door opened, interrupting her thoughts.

The group breathed a sigh of relief when they realized it was Spike who had opened the door. Spike was probably the only one of the Sunnydale crew who actually cared about them.

"Spike!!" All three girls cried as they ran to hug him.

"Hey! Watch it! Just who do you think you are? Hands off!" Spike yelled as he brushed the girls off him. After the girls had retreated, he fixed his leather jacket. "Do I know you?" he asked.

"Ha ha, very funny, Spike." Erin said as she walked past a very confused Spike, and into the kitchen. "Hey, where's Buffy and Giles? I really need to talk to them. Heck, I'll even talk to Anya at this point." She sat down on a chair and started drumming her fingers on the table. Spike stood in shock, unable to say anything.

Beth looked around the kitchen, something was wrong. She eyed Erin who, judging by the look on her face, was starting to sense the same thing. Alonna didn't seem to be taking any notice. Just as Beth was about to speak, a door slammed shut upstairs, and the clatter of feet sounded on the stairs.

"Spike, who are you talking …" the girl drifted off.

"DAWN?" All three girls asked at once, amazed at the young girl standing in the doorway of the kitchen.

"Uh…yeah?" Dawn replied timidly. She had no clue who these people were, and yet they knew her name. She glanced at Spike, who seemed to be going through the same dilemma.

"Dawn! Spike! We're home!" Buffy called as she opened the front door, "Dawn? Why are you just standing there? Dawnie? Is everything okay?" Buffy asked as she started toward the figure of Dawn frozen in the doorway.

Buffy pushed past Dawn and into the kitchen followed by Xander, Willow, and Anya. She stopped short when she saw the three girls sitting at her kitchen table. The group went silent as they studied the young women in front of them. Finally Buffy spoke up, "Spike, who are these people, and what are they doing here?" Buffy folded her arms and spoke cautiously as she eyed each girl.

"I-I have no clue…" Spike stuttered.

"Oh, Christ, this is wonderful," Erin murmured.

"What was that? And who the hell are you?" Buffy asked slowly losing her patience. She fidgeted and unconsciously clenched her jaw. She did not have the time for this.

"Okay, this is gonna sound really weird, but considering this is Sunnydale you probably shouldn't be too surprised," Erin began. "Well you may not know us, but believe it or not we know you. Buffy, you're the slayer. Willow you're a witch, a powerful one, who tried to take over the world, or end it, or whatever. Anya, you're an ex-vengeance demon, and really tactless may I add. Dawn you're the key. Spike's the vampire formerly known as William the Bloody; he was sired by Drusilla, and spent a good portion of his life with her. A waste of time if you ask me, not that Darla was any better," she finished to herself. Erin's face twisted into a scowl as she turned to the last person in the group. She couldn't help but feel resentment towards the man. "Xander you're just a human, not a very good one, but a human none the less." Erin bit off as she finished.

"Hey! Why don't you like me?!" Xander cried. "Why doesn't she like me?" he turned to Anya, who just shrugged her shoulders.

Beth could see Erin's patience start to waver. She was having a 'Dad Moment' again. Erin's father hated Xander with a passion, and he had taught Erin well.

"Erin," she whispered and nudged the girl. With a few long intakes of breath, the girl seemed to compose herself.

"Okay, so maybe you're right…but how do you know us? I mean, I've never seen you before," Buffy asked. Although the girl did seem to know a lot about them, Buffy was still very suspicious.

"Oh we're from the future." Beth answered simply. Everyone stared in disbelief at the young woman. "What?" she asked suddenly shy.

"You know us in the future, and you came here to what, visit?" Buffy asked, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Yes, Buffy, we came here to visit," Erin shot back, glaring dangerously at the slayer.

Beth tried to explain, "We need your help. We were fighting a demon and we somehow ended up here…and not just here, but here like…ummm how many years in the past?"

"About 20," Erin answered looking at the calendar that hung on the wall, amazed at the fact it was that long ago. It was before they were born, but close to when they were conceived.

Buffy looked at each of the girls. They seemed to be telling the truth. They also looked really familiar, but she couldn't place her finger on it. None of them seemed to be threatening her, although the one with the shoulder length brown hair seemed to be hostile toward both her and Xander. Well, to get answers, one must ask questions. "Umm, just who are you?"

Part 2

"Oh boy, do you not wanna know the answer to that," Alonna breathed out.

"Excuse me?" Buffy asked somewhat offended.

Erin turned to Beth. "Are you sure this isn't hell? Because ya know, my Dad's been there, and I'm pretty sure this is it."

Beth's eyebrows knitted together, "Well, technically, this is hell. I mean with the Hellmouth and all. Right?"

"Oh, for crying out loud! Just tell us who you are!" Xander exclaimed, throwing his hands into the air above his head.

"Yes, I want to go have sex with Xander right now," Anya nodded vigorously.

"You really haven't changed, have you?" Erin asked, trying hard to get that very disturbing mental image out of her head.

"Enough!" Alonna screamed. "Why don't ya'll just get on with it so we can hightail outta dodge, and forget this ever happened?" She never had been the level head, but it was time to step up. "Besides, I think if I hear one more comment from Anya, I may be sick."

"Well, why don't you go first then, ahhh...what's your name?" Buffy questioned.

"Fine, I will go first. You won't know who I am, or who my parents are yet, but I mind as well. My name is Alonna Gunn, and my parents are Charles Gunn and Winifred Burkle. They both work-"

"In LA, with Angel!" Willow finished excitedly. "I know them! I mean, I met them when I went to talk to Angel about, well about-"

"My death." Buffy looked at Willow, the mood suddenly changing.

"Yeah," Willow lowered her head, not making eye contact with the slayer.

"Yeah, they work with Angel, so that's me, now moving on..." Alonna could feel the tension that had quickly enveloped the room.

"Well, Beth, why don't you share with the class?" Erin nudged the girl.

"Me? Why me?!" Beth gave a panicked look around the room. "I mean, I can't go next, cause ya know, well, I mean, I just can't!"

Erin leaned over to whisper in the girl's ear. "Unless you wish to experience the carnage that my news will bring this very minute, you might want to go now. Delay the inevitable. You know that your heritage will be taken more easily than mine...I think..."

Beth nodded, knowing that Erin was right. Hold off the bloodshed for at least five more minutes. "My name is Beth, and actually, ha ha, kinda funny...Willow is my mother." She finshed trying to gauge everyone's reaction.

"What!?" Xander screeched, "Isn't that ya know, impossible? Cause I mean, you guys do know that Willow's ya know...well...ya know."

"What? Gay?" Erin asked innocently.

"Um, well, yeah, I guess you could say that..." Xander stuttered trying hard not to blush.

"Well, I'll explain it to you as simply as possible, the way Gunn explained it to me when I was little." Erin smirked, God she loved to make this boy squirm. "And I quote, 'Ya know how I told you Willow wasn't batting for the Yankees for a while? Well, she got traded back.' End quote." Erin's grin grew even wider when Xander's face turned about six different shades of red. Maybe this future thing wasn't so bad after all.

"Ahem," Willow cleared her throat, "Enough about my baseball career, I was kind of curious who I end up with. You know that man, I end up with."

"Should Dawn be hearing this?"

"Oh, right! Yeah, I guess I kind of figured you'd want to know." Beth looked at Willow and sighed, how would she take the news?

Everyone in the room stared at her expectantly. "Is it really that bad?" Willow asked, an almost terrified tone in her voice.

"No! It's just, keep in mind that everyone has changed a lot over the years."

"Oh God! Please don't tell me I married Xander!" Willow exclaimed, horrified at the thought.

"Yes, she cannot steal my Xander! He is my sex poodle!" Anya jumped in front of Xander in defense.

"No! You did not marry Xander, thank god for small favors." Beth tried not to imagine Xander as her father. He was already a pain as it was.

"Hey! What's wrong with me?" Xander cried, taking offense to the bantering between the women.

"Nothing, you know you're my best friend, and I love you. But, I just don't think I could handle living with you everyday for the rest of my life." Willow tried to reassure him. "Anyways, are you going to tell me, or do I have to ground you young lady?" Willow put on a fake stern tone.

"Geez, I'll tell you, and you have no idea how scary that was. And kinda familiar." Beth shrugged of the thought. She continued cautiously, "My father is Wesley Wyndam-Pryce."

"WESLEY?!" The Sunnydale group screamed as a whole.

"Hey! I thought you said Willow was batting for the Yankees!" Xander yelled out.

Bad move.
