Notes: This was my first Angel Fanfiction. It was formally called Midnight Destiny under my previous net name: Mandalay. I didn't know how to write Gunn and Fred in the story. They won't be in it and also the current themes in Angel. I know Angel doesn't call Cordelia the nickname Cora. But, I felt that the nickname fit into this fic. This fic is an AU and also the Scooby Gang will be appearing.

Part 1
City of Angels is a town full of wandering souls. Some seeking salvation or running from there past. Two particular souls found each other in the mass sea of people.
Cordy was sitting quietly at her desk. Typing away on the computer. Researching on the latest case of demons. Things were getting back to normal in the new location of Angel Investigation. Wesley was sticking his head in the dusty old books. Angel was sleeping down in his new apartment.
"Can't this get anymore boring?" Cordy said
"I mean no simple kill of the big bady. Yeah, plus with mind splitting headaches." She said
"Huh, What did you say Cordelia?" Wesley said
"Ugh, never mind Wesley." She said
Cordelia smirked; sometimes it made no sense talking to Wesley. He is married to those old books, she thought. It made Cordy happy to have her family back together. After being stuck in the hospital with those endless visions.
Down in the apartment, Angel was wide-awake. Hearing the voice of Cordelia, his beautiful seer. Angel knew he cared deeply for his best friend. The thought of losing Cordy scared him. Angel smelled Cordy all around the apartment, her unique scent of lavender and vanilla. He sucked in unneeded breath. Angel still wonders why he still does that. When he is a vampire that is cold as ice. Angel quickly got up and grabbed his shirt. He walked up the stairs and enters the office.
"Morning everyone." Angel said
"Hi, you mean good afternoon." Said Cordy smiling
"Hello, to you too Angel." Said Wesley
Angel was glad that Wesley was part of the team. He felt that Wesley was getting better and stronger. I wonder if they found anything on the new demon, he thought. Cordy already began heating Angel's blood in the microwave. She cut open the bag and poured into the mug. It's funny Cordy thought, the mug said World Greatest Manpire. She walked towards Angel.
"Here you go, nice and warm. With an ewwww to it." Cordy lightly said
"Thanks, Cordy. Anything on the demon." Angel said
"Yes. Well, with the description Cordy gave from her vision. It's a cat like creature. The name of the demon is Nayra. Just your simple slice and dice kind of demon." Wesley said looking up from the book.
"Great, I did all that researching on the computer. Wes, you had that information already in front of you. You could have told me already." Cordy said
"Sorry, Cordy." He said sheepishly
Suddenly Cordy grabbed her head. She knew a vision was going to hit her. Angel sensed it quickly and ran towards her. Cordy sensed the strong images filling her mind. He grabbed her quickly before she hit her head against the desk. Angel held Cordy tightly and waiting for the vision to stop. He hated seeing her in so much pain. Cordy quietly began to regain her surroundings. She opened her eyes and saw Angel's deep chocolate brown eyes looking at her. Cordy saw how he was worried about her cause of the visions. It made her heart ache to see him like that. Wesley was quickly by there side, with painkillers and a bottle of water. He also looked concern for Cordy. The visions were getting stronger each time she had them. It worried them all, that the visions might be hurting her greatly.
"What did you see, Cora." Angel said sweetly
"You never called me Cora before. I like it." She said sweetly
"Oh the vision, how can I say this without sounding bitter." Cordy said
"What is it? How bad can it be, Cora?" He asked
Cordy released herself from Angel's hold. She quickly straightens herself up. Running a hand through her short hair. After being in the hospital, Cordy felt a change was needed. So, she went to the salon and told the hairdresser to cut it. Cordy return to her apartment, to the shock looks of Angel and Wesley. Okay, here goes nothing, she thought. Cordy looked at Angel and Wesley.
"We are going to have some visitors." She said quickly.
"Who can be coming here?" Wesley asked
"The old gang from Sunnydale." Cordy said bitterly
Part 2
“You got to be kidding me.” Angel said
“Why are they coming here?” Wesley asked
“I don’t know. That’s all I got from the vision. The Scooby gang will be showing up here. Ugh, in a couple of hours.” She said
Angel stood completely frozen, from hearing the news. He can’t believe it Buffy coming here. Angel was getting used to his life now in LA. He has his family and in a way already had moved on. Cordy notice Angel was beginning to brood.
“Oh, no you don’t. No brooding time for you. I’m not going to let that happen. I need you, Angel.” Cordy said
“Sorry, I will be here for you, Cora. I promise.” He said
“What do we do now?” Wesley asked
“We wait for them to get here. And find out why they came to LA. What I don’t understand, why did the Powers That Be sent you a vision, Cora of the Scoobies coming here.” Angel said
They all knew it would be difficult to have Buffy and the others here. Cordy didn’t like it one bit. She was happy here with Angel, Wesley and even with Phantom Dennis. Cordy was no longer Queen C from Sunnydale. She quickly left towards the bathroom and locked herself in. Cordy felt the tears began to fall. Angel watched Cordelia walked towards the bathroom. He heard the soft click of the door locking. Wesley went to decipher more from the scrolls. Angel walked towards the bathroom and lightly knocked.
“Cordelia please let me in.” Angel asked
He smelt the tears. Angel knew Cordy was crying. Cordy knew she had to open the door. But, she didn’t really want to. Angel didn’t hear any movement from inside and began to worry.
“Cora pleases.” Angel said
“Alright.” Cordy softly said
She quietly unlocked the door. Angel heard it unlock and opened it slowly. He saw Cordelia huddle in the corner. Angel sat down next to her. Cordy quickly embraced him tightly. He held her tightly and waited for Cordy to stop crying. Angel rubbed her back and smelled in Cordy’s scent.
“I don’t want them here. I might have been a pain in Sunnydale. But, I’m not that person anymore. I can’t deal with having them here. And they don’t know of the visions.” Cordy said
“Don’t worry, Cora. I’m going to make sure they don’t hurt you. If they do, Buffy and the others will be dealing with me.” Angel said sternly
“The visions they will find out soon. Cordelia, you’re the most beautiful, caring, honest and sweet person that I know. I care for you greatly. Plus, you’re my best friend.” Angel softly said
Cordy looked up at him. She notices something else in Angel’s eyes. It was love. Cordy couldn’t believe it; he is in love with her. Not with Buffy, but with her. Cordy felt her heart would burst with so much happiness. Angel notices the same thing. Oh boy, I think just confessed it, he thought. Angel knew he was in love with his beautiful seer. He couldn’t help it but smile at the thought. Cordy decided to close the gap between them. She slowly moved and kissed Angel on the lips. He was surprised at first and quickly responded back. The kiss was sweet and tender then grew more passionately. Angel and Cordy were lost in the moment. Wesley looked on, it’s about time, he thought.
Angel realized Cordy needed to breathe. He let go and saw her lips were red and puffing from the kiss. Cordy gave him her thousand-watt smile. He returns the smile.
“Wow. Are you okay?” Angel asked sheepishly
“Yeah, I think so. I love you, Angel.” Cordy said
“I love you too, Cora. More than anything.” He said
“Well, it’s about time you to.” Wesley said
They both looked at the door and notice Wesley standing there. Cordy began to blush. Angel thought if vampires can blush, he would be right now.
“How long have you been standing there, Wes?” Cordy asked
“Long enough.” He said
Angel and Cordy got up from the floor. They walked out of the bathroom hand in hand. Wesley gave Angel a pat on the back. On the road, a group of people in one car was heading to LA. Xander was starting to get a sore neck from the uncomfortable positions. He looked at Willow and Buffy.
“So, tell me again. Why are we going to LA and seeing Dead boy?” Xander asked
“I just have this feeling, Xander. I couldn’t ignore it.” Buffy said
Buffy knew she needed to be in LA. She couldn’t shake the feeling something was going to happen. Whatever it is, I’ll get to see Angel again, Buffy thought. Giles notice the exit to LA and took it.
Angel was pacing back and forth. He didn’t like that the Scoobies would be here in a few hours. Angel was grateful Cordy decided to get some rest before they got here. Wesley was still trying to decipher the scrolls. Angel felt that they shouldn’t be here. Cordy was very much insecure of having Buffy and everyone else here. He knew she still had the wounds from Xander. Angel felt the rumbling of a growl in his chest.
Outside the offices of Angel Investigation, stood standing Buffy, Willow, Giles, and Xander. They all felt nervous to enter. Buffy didn’t even phone them. She wonders how Angel will react on seeing her. Buffy looked at Willow for some support. Willow just simply nodded, that they should go in. They walked quietly through the doors and up a flight of stairs.
“Wow, dead boy has a good place here.” Xander said
“Shhhh, Xander.” Willow said
“Alright, Will.” He said
They made it to the front door of Angel Investigations. Giles decided he should be the one to knock. Angel knew Buffy and everyone was already there. He could smell them and also heard Xander talking. Before they could knock, Wesley opened the door.
“Hello, Everyone.” He said
“Wesley, How are you?” Asked Giles
“Fine, thank you. Come in all of you.” Wesley said
Everyone walked in and notice the office was like a big loft. They kept looking around. Buffy couldn’t find Angel. Strange, I thought he would be here, she thought. Buffy couldn’t even sense him.
“Wesley, where is Angel by the way.” She asked
“Right here, Buffy.” Angel said
Angel appeared out of the corner. They all jumped when he appeared, except Wesley. Down in the apartment, Cordy awoke from her rest. She sensed already that the Scooby Gang arrived. Cordy quickly straighten herself up and walked slowly up the stairs. You can do this. Angel and Wesley will be there, she whispered. Angel heard Cordy coming up the stairs.
Xander began to look around the room. He couldn’t find Cordelia anywhere. Buffy ran up to Angel and gave him a hug. Angel slightly pushed Buffy back. She was surprised at his actions. Buffy thought he would be happy to see her.
“Hello, Buffy, Willow, Xander, Giles.” Angel said
“So, Dead boy. Where is Cordelia?” Asked Xander
“Probably, shopping. Must be one big sale.” Buffy said
Angel couldn’t hold back the growl. Everyone was startled.
“She will be here shortly. And no she is not shopping.” He said
Cordy heard what Buffy said. She felt hurt, that they would think that. Cordelia felt happy Angel defend her. She knew he loved her greatly. Here goes nothing, Cordy whispered. She entered the room and stood next to Angel.
“Hello everyone.” Cordy said
The Scooby gang was surprised to see Cordelia. They all notice her appearance was simple. She no longer had long hair anymore it was very short. Cordy had a pair of jeans and sweater on with black boots. With little makeup on, Cordy looked more beautiful than before.
“So, why you guys are here?” She asked
“Well, there was this urge to come to LA.” Giles said looking at Buffy
“Oh, nothing to do with demons, vampires or other things.” Cordy said
“Nope, just paying a visit.” Willow said
They all stood awkwardly around. Buffy kept noticing the looks that Angel was giving Cordelia. She started to get jealous and angry. All of sudden the Prophecies of Aberjian began to glow. Angel quickly stood in front of Cordy. The room was engulfing in a bright light. It became back to normal. Cordy notice two glowing ancient individuals in the middle of the room.
“Angel look.” She said
Angel looked towards them. He never had seen them before. The Scooby Gang went into battle mode.
“Good. All of you are here.” They said
“We are the Guardians of The Prophecies of Aberjian.” The female being said
Part 3
“You’re the what.” Buffy asked confusingly
“The Prophecies of Aberjian. These scrolls were thought lost forever.” Giles said
“Apparently not. Can someone care to explain?” Buffy asked
“We are the guardians of the scrolls. And the protectors of the Chosen Ones.” Male being said
They walked towards Angel and Cordelia. Angel didn’t know what was happening. He felt it had to do with his Shanshu.
“Champion, you will be fulfilling your destiny. And so will your mate.” Female being said
Buffy knew they were talking about her. She is Angel’s soul mate. Buffy felt a smile creep on her face. She felt happy. I will finally be with Angel, Buffy thought. Cordy notice the happiness on Buffy’s face. She felt her heart breaking. I knew it, its always Buffy, Cordy thought. Buffy began to walk towards Angel, when the male guardian stopped her.
“Slayer, stay where you are.” He said
“But, I’m Angel’s mate.” She said happily
“You and the others are not part of the prophecy.” Female being said
“What? I’m the Slayer. Me and Angel are meant to be.” Buffy said
“You are not the Seer. The Champion’s mate and the mother of the Two Golden Moons.” Male being said
Both Angel and Wesley looked at Cordelia. Cordy stood frozen. She couldn’t believe it. She is Angel’s true love and going to be a mom, Cordy thought. The Scoobies began to wonder why they were looking at Cordelia. Angel grabbed Cordy’s hand and held it tightly. Willow began to wonder if Cordelia is the Seer.
“I know who she is.” Angel said
“So, who is she Dead Boy?” Xander asked
Cordy couldn’t take it any longer. She was tired of that nickname towards Angel. Cordy didn’t want the Scoobies here and knew they would find out she is the Seer. Angel sense Cordy’s anger. He turned around and faced her.
“Don’t Cora, I will take care of it.” Angel whispered
Cordy simply nodded at him. Wesley walked towards them and stood next Cordelia. He knew they would be all finding out the truth. There stood the Fang Gang on one side of the loft and the Scooby Gang on the other side. Angel looked at the two guardians.
“Is it the Champion’s will to tell them?” Male being asked
“Yes, it is.” Angel said
He looked towards all of the Scoobies, particularly staring at Buffy. Angel wanted to make sure that she got a clear message.
“The Seer is Cora.” He said
“Who?” They said together
“Cordelia is the Seer and my mate.” Angel said
“Cordelia!” Said unison
“You got to be kidding, Angel. Cordelia is the Seer and your mate. That is so lame. I don’t believe it.” Buffy said bitterly
Angel felt a growl about to escape. She has no right to say that, he thought. The Guardians quietly turned to the Scooby Gang.
“Silent, Slayer. You were called upon here, to witness this gathering. You and the others have your own destinies to fulfill.” Female being said
“Come here Seer.” Said male being
Cordy was afraid to move. She didn’t know what would happen. Angel turned to Cordy and gave her a kiss on the lips. Leaning his forehead against her. It’s okay, Cora. Go to them, Angel whispered. Cordelia let go of Angel. She walked towards the Guardians. Cordy stood in front of them.
“Seer, are you prepared to hear and receive your destiny.” Female being asked
“Yes, I think so.” Cordy said
“You are the Seer and mate of the Champion. We apologize for the last vision. It wasn’t meant to be painful. It was a message, to let you know of the coming gathering.” The male one said
“The visions will no longer be painful. Each time you will have them, it will be simple images.” Female one said
“Great, no more mind splitting headaches.” Cordy smiling said
“You are immortal now. As long as the Champion lives you will also, Seer. You shall bring forth the Two Golden Moons.” Male being said
“Who are the Two Golden Moons?” She asked
“The children of The Champion and The Seer. They will be born with the marks of the Sun and Moon. Light and Dark mixed into one. They are the Chosen Ones.” Female being said
Angel walked towards Cordelia. He grabbed her hand. Cordy looked at Angel and simply smile. They were going to have a family. Angel felt the urge to ask about his soul. The Female Guardian stood in front of Angel.
“Don’t worry, Champion. Your soul is anchored. You will Shanshu in short time.” She said
The Scoobies couldn’t believe what was going on. They felt like outsiders in the room. Buffy felt very much angry towards Cordy. This is not over with, she thought.
Part 4
“Give me your hands Seer.” Female being asked
“Okay.” Cordy said
She held out her hands. Female Guardian held onto Cordy’s hands. Cordy’s hands began to glow brightly. Slowly markings were appearing on her wrists. She notice on her left wrist appeared a sun and on the right wrist appeared a moon. The Female Guardian released Cordy’s hands.
“These are the markings of Light and Dark, the golden sun and mystic moon. Seer, you are strong and wise. Be well.” Female one said
“Thank You. What will happen now?” Cordy asked
“We will be leaving soon. The Prophecies of Aberjian will not exist no longer. We shall watch over and protect thee.” Male being said
Cordy walked back towards Angel and Wesley. Wesley notice the angry look on Buffy’s face. He knew there was going to be confrontation. The Guardians slowly began to fade away. They turned towards Angel.
“Champion, protect the Seer and the Two Golden Moons. Be well all of you.” They said
“I will, promise.” Angel said
The Guardians completely disappeared. The Fang Gang notice the Prophecies of Aberjian had turned to dust. Angel turned towards Cordy. He grabbed her wrists softly. Angel looked at the markings and caressed Cordy’s wrists with his thumb. He looked at her tearful eyes. Angel gently placed a kiss on Cordy’s forehead. He grabbed her and embraced Cordy tightly.
“We are going to have a family. I love you, Cora.” Angel whispered
“Yeah, we are. I love you too, Angel.” She said
“Hey Wes, you’ll be a Uncle.” Cordy giggled
Wesley couldn’t stop blushing at the thought of being an Uncle. Angel slightly let go of Cordy. But kept her near him. Buffy couldn’t take it anymore. Everything was getting on her nerves.
“Hello, you know there are other people in the room.” Buffy said
“Buffy!” Giles said
“Come on, Giles. I don’t believe all this.” She said
“They were real and so was the prophecy.” Wesley said
“Okay. What did they mean by Shanshu?” Willow asked
Angel looked at Cordy for some help. She simply nodded that it’s okay to tell them.
“It means I’ll be human.” Angel said
“What!” Said unison
Scooby gang couldn’t believe what they just heard. Angel is going to be human, Buffy thought. Buffy felt she should be with him, not with Cordy. She reached her boiling point. Buffy quickly made her way to the Fang Gang.
“How dare you steal Angel away from me. You slut.” Buffy yelled
Cordy looked at the raging Buffy. She couldn’t help but smirk at her. Cordy knew what was about to happen. She received glimpses while getting the marks. It was nice of the Female Guardian to clue me in, Cordy thought.
“Pardon me, Buffy. But, I’m the Seer and Chosen One, plus Angel’s mate. So, I think you should swallow that pill.” Cordy said
“You Bitch.” Buffy angrily said
Buffy charged towards Cordy. Ready to strike her. Cordy quickly blocked the punch. Buffy spun around to hit her, again. But, Cordy gracefully did a back flip. Buffy fell hard on to the ground. All stood stunned from Buffy’s action and Cordy’s fighting skills. Where did Cora learn to move like that, Angel thought.
Wesley grabbed Buffy and held her in place. The Scoobies ran towards the action. Giles felt very upset with Buffy. He didn’t like her behavior with everything.
“Let me go, Wesley.” Buffy said
“I won’t let you go. Until you stop it acting like a child.” He said
“Fine.” She bitterly said
Wesley released Buffy from his hold. She stood next to the Scoobies. Buffy looked at them for support. Giles gave her a stern look. Angel went next to Cordelia. He grabbed her hand and held it tightly. Wesley looked at them.
“Cordelia, How did you do that?” He asked
“I never knew how to do those fighting skills before. Once, I had received the marks. I guess I inherited it with strength, speed and other things. Just feel it in my blood.” Cordy said
“We are going to be a good fighting team.” Angel said
Cordy smiled at him. She loved Angel with every ounce of her being. Angel knew they had a lot of explaining to do. He looked at the Scoobies.
“I guess we all need to explain something’s.” Angel said
“I believe so, Angel.” Giles said
“Ugh, going to be a long night.” Cordy said
Suddenly, Cordy began to have a vision. It was the Nayra demon, attacking a group of people in the park. Cordy recognized the park. She quickly turned to Angel.
“Hold on, to the catching up. I just had a vision. Time to go kick some demon butt.” She said
“Oh by the way, Buffy grow up. Everything doesn’t revolve around you.” Cordy said smiling
