Summary: Angel and Cordelia have been dating for about a year. Angel's soul is permanent so no fear of him loosing it.
W&H find out about a prophecy concerning Cordelia, and they decide to put an to it.
Spoiler: None. Ok, just so u know Conner didn't happen.. Don't get me wrong I love the little guy, just couldn't put him in this story. Oh and there is NO and I mean No Groo.. I am keeping him out of my little world.

"Cordelia you deliberately disobeyed me." Angel shouted as he an Cordelia entered the hotel.
" Disobeyed! Did you just say disobeyed? Last time I looked Angel I was your girlfriend not your child, so don't talk to me
like I'm one." Cordelia said trying to remain somewhat calm.
"Well, if you didn't act like a child I would have to talk to like one." Angel said as he threw his black duster on the couch.
Wesley, Gunn, and Fred watch quietly as the seen unfolded in front of them. They knew from experience it was better for
them to remain that way in till the fight was over.
"What am I supposed to do Angel sit back like a good little wife, and watch while you and the others go off and fight?"
"Cordelia" Angel said with a low growl. "You do enough things around here. You don't need to prove anything by trying to fight."
"Trying to fight! I thought I was doing a damn fine job fighting tonight till YOU pushed me out of the way." Cordelia said as she slammed her purse on the counter.
"Cordelia!" Angel growled.
"Don't you dare grr me mister." Cordelia glared at Angel. "I was only trying to help."
"I don't need your help." Angel snapped at her.
Cordelia just stood there with her mouth open. She felt like someone had just slapped he in the face. She could feel the tears starting to form in her eyes. She held them back the best he should, she was not about to let him see her cry.
Angel could see the hurt in her eyes. He hadn't meant for it to come out the way it did.
"Cordy, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that" Angel said trying to get Cordelia to look at him.
Cordelia opened her mouth to say something, but quickly shut it. Instead she grabbed her purse and ran out of the hotel.
"Damn it" a frustrated Angel said as he ran his hand through his hair.
"Angel, I'm sure Cordelia knows you didn't mean it." Wesley finely said trying to reassure Angel.
"Wesley how can I be so stupid to say something like that to her after every thing she has done for me."
"Angel you were just mad. Sometimes we say stupid things when we get mad. I'm sure she knows that." Wesley said giving Angel a hopeful look.
"So what happened with you and Barbie tonight?" Gunn asked. "I thought you two were out on a date?"
"I thought so too" Angel mumbled
"We were on are way back here when a demon attacked us. I told Cordy to stay back, and let me take care of it. But do you think she listen to me No she had to help, nearly getting herself killed in the process."
"That sounds like our Cordy" Gunn said all most laughing to himself.
"Angel don't you think you should go after her?" Fred quietly asked.
"No not yet. I think I'll give her a little time to herself before I do. Besides I'm sure she has already told Dennis about what happened tonight, and I'm not really in the mood to fight with a ghost." Angel said as he sat down in his chair, or as Cordy would refer to as his brooding chair.

Meanwhile back at Cordelia's apartment
"Then do you know what he said." Cordelia cried as she sat on her bed. "I don't need your help. Can you believe that he said that to me of all people."
"Thank you Dennis." Cordelia said as she reached for a floating tissue. "Knowing him he's back at the hotel brooding in his chair, when he should be here apologizing to me." Cordelia said with a sniffle.
"What am I saying Dennis, I'm mad at him I don't want to see him. Oh my god what if he is on his way over here! He'll know I've been crying. I don't want him to see me cry. Dennis What am I going to do?"
Moments later her coat and a coffee cup came floating in to the bed room.
"Oh Dennis that's a wonderful idea! Why didn't I think of it." Cordelia said as grabbed her coat and purse and ran out the front door.

Later that night at the Wolfram & Hart offices
Lindsey was sitting quietly at his desk reading part of the scroll they had managed to copy from the one Angel has stolen.
The seer shall give up her humanity, then bring forth life where there is no life. This life shall bring goodness to the earth.
"We'll just have to see about that." Lindsey said to himself, as Lilah came into his office.
"Talking to yourself again I see." Lilah said flashing Lindsey a smile.
"What do you want Lilah?" Lindsey asked coldly.
"I just wanted to let you know every thing is set to go. I assumed you should be making your little phone call any time now" Lilah said as she sat on Lindsey desk.
"You just better make sure this goes down right, we're only going to have once chance at this before they find out" Lindsey said as he reached for the phone.

"Angel would you please stop brooding, and just go talk to her." Wesley said trying to talk some sense into the vampire who had spent the last hour brooding in the dark.
"What if she won't talk to me. You know how she gets when she's upset." Angel said almost as if he was ready to pout.
Wesley was about to comment when he was cut off by the phone. Angel sighed as he reached over and grabbed the phone.
"Angel Investigations, How can I help you?" Angel said as he answered the phone.
"You know, they always say we hurt the ones we love. I just wanted to let you know that before she dies." The icy voice on the other end of the line said, as the phone went dead.
"What is it Angel?" Wesley asked as he saw the look of complete horror on Angel's face.
"Cordelia's in trouble." Angel said as he dropped the phone and ran out the door.
"Wait for us" Gunn yelled as he Wesley and Fred ran after him.
Angel drove as fast as he could to Cordelia's apartment, praying that he would make it in time. Angel had barley stopped the car and jumped out when Cordelia's apartment blew up. Angels life past before him in that second. He tried to run to her apartment, but was held back by the others.
"Angel there is nothing you can do for her now." Wesley said as he held back his tears
Angel fell to his knees, and looked up that the shy and screamed "CORDELIA!"

Shortly before dawn at an all night diner. Cordelia sat alone in a chair eating ice-cream, unaware of the night events that have changed her life forever.
"You know he must be worried sick about you by now Cordy." An older gray hair lady said from behind the counter.
"I know May. I just needed time to think, and you know nothing helps me think better then ice cream." Cordelia said with a smile.
"Cordelia, child I'm sure he is sorry for what he said. You know men always say stupid things to the ones they love when they're angry." May gentle said as she placed her hand on Cordelia's hand.
"I know, I know. Angel would give up his life for me, before he would hurt me on purpose. But what he said hurt me just the same."
"Child why are you hear telling me this, you should be home telling this all to your Angel." May said smiling.
"Your right May. That's exactly what I should be doing." Cordelia said as she got up and gave the women a hug.
"Thank you for every thing May." Cordelia said as she turned around to look at the older women before heading out the door.
"Your very welcome child." May said in a low voice once Cordelia had left. "I just hope realize how much your Angel needs you. How much the world needs you." As that was said a bright light filled the diner, and May disappeared.

Back at the Hyperion.
"Has Angel said anything?" Fred asked Wesley as he came down from seeing Angel.
"No I'm afraid not. I don't think I have ever seen Angel so distraught. Without Cordelia here to guide him, there is no telling what he might do." Wesley said as he wiped his glasses off.
"I'll tell you one thing who ever did this to Barbie will pay. Angel will see to that." Gunn said slamming his fist down.
"That's exactly what I'm afraid of Gunn." Wesley said taking a deep breath.

Back at Cordelia's place.
"Oh my god what happened here." Cordelia gasped as see looked around what once used to be her apartment.
"Dennis! Dennis are you still here? Oh please still be ok." Cordelia cried falling to her knees.
Moments later she was surrounded by cold air. "Oh Dennis, thank god you're still here. I thought I'd lost you."
But her relief only lasted a second as see saw Dennis write Angel's name in the soot.
"Oh god not Angel, not my Angel anything but that!" Cordelia cried pulling herself off the ground running for the door

"I can't believe she's gone." Fred started to cry again "Why would anyone want to hurt her? I don't understand how this could happen."
"I don't think we're ment to understand things like this." Gunn said putting his arms around the distraught young women.
Wesley was about to comment when a terrified Cordelia came running through the front doors.
"ANGEL, ANGEL!" Cordelia screamed as she came through the doors.
"Good Lord your alive." Wesley said wrapping his arms around the young women. "But how we saw your place blow up?"
"Where is Angel? Is he here? He was wasn't hurt was?" Cordelia asked ignoring his question. "Oh god Wesley please tell me he's ok." Cordelia begged with tears running down her face.
Cordelia was waiting for an answer when he heard a familiar voice from behind her.
"Cordy?" Angel asked not believe what he saw in front of him with his own eyes.
"Angel." Cordelia said with a low whisper
It only took Angel a minute to realize that Cordelia was really there. Within second she was in his arms.
"I thought I'd lost you tonight." Angel said smothering her with kisses.
"You're never going to lose me Angel." Cordelia said as she kissed Angel again.
"I'm so sorry about tonight Cordy. I love you so much. I never meant to hurt you, please believe me."
"I know you didn't Angel." Cordelia replied as she gentle wiped Angel tears away. "I love you too Angel. Please, just hold me."
"Forever." Angel whispered in her ear.
"Don't let go of me."Cordelia cried softly.
"Never." Angel said as he tightened his grip around her.

Hyperion hotel..
Cordelia was now beyond tired. She had spent the last hour explaining to everyone why she thankfully hadn't been at her apartment that night.
"So when did you start going to this diner, and why didn't I know about it?" Angel calmly as possible asked Cordelia.
Cordelia bit her bottom lip thinking back to the day when she had found the place. It was a day she didn't want to remember. It was the day the Doctors told her that she was dying. She was to upset to go back home or to the hotel, so she went for a walk. She had been walking for what seemed like forever when she came up to the diner. It was funny she had never remembered seeing that place before till that day. It was almost as it appeared from no were. She was just going to keep on walking when she felt the need to go in. It looked liked like any other normal diner, but some how the place made her feel safe. The diner was empty except for the older lady behind the counter. There was something soft and gentle about the older women that put Cordelia to ease just by looking at her. The older women had introduced herself as May, and she and Cordelia quickly became friends. From that day on when ever she was sad, upset or just needed to talk she would go to the diner, and talk to May. There were so many things she could talk to May about that she couldn't talk to anyone else about, even Angel.
Cordelia took a deep breath. "I started going to the diner the day I found out the visions were killing me. I didn't tell you about the diner, because it was a place I could go to be alone and think."
Even though the visions weren't killing Cordelia anymore the very thought of it made Angel cringe. He had been furious with her when he found out she had kept that a secret. He had made her promise to never keep a secret like that from him again.
"I thought we weren't going to keep secretes any more?" Angel asked trying not to get upset
"I wasn't trying to keep it a secret from you Angel." Cordelia said quietly
"Then why didn't you tell me about it?" Angel asked
"Because." Cordelia mumbled
"Because isn't an answer Cordy." Angel said repressing a growl.
"Fine." huffed Cordelia. "I didn't tell you because I would go there when I didn't want to see you."
"When you didn't want to see me." Angel repeated sounding a little hurt.
"Angel, I didn't mean it like that. You know I love seeing you. I meant like after we had a fight." Cordelia said softly touching Angels face.
"I know Cordy, but just the thought of you keeping another secret from me makes me crazy." Angel said as placed his hand on Cordelias.
I don't like keeping secrets from you either, Cordelia thought, but there are some things I just can't tell you.
"Cordelia are you ok?" Angel asked suddenly concerned by the look on her face.
"I'm fine Angel. Just a little tired that's all." Cordelia said giving Angel a small smile.
"Why don't you go up stairs to bed, and I'll be up there shortly." Angel said placing a soft kiss on Cordelia's lips.
"That sounds like a good idea, but I think I'll take a shower first. I feel so ewww." Cordelia said as she went to go up stairs.
Angel just smiled as Cordelia walked up stairs. She sure has a way with words he thought to himself.
Angel turned to say something to Wesley when he noticed the other were no longer in the room. He wondered where they had gone to when he heard a noise coming from Wesley's office
"So that's were they went to." Angel said as he walk towards the office
Wesley, Fred and Gunn were so busy talking that they didn't notice Angel standing at the door.
"So what are you guys up to?" Angel asked making them jump.
"You know one of these days we are going to have to put a bell around your neck." Gunn said picking himself off the floor.
"Well, yes I'm sure as amusing as that would be." Wesley said getting back to Angels question.
"We just thought you and Cordelia could use a few minuets alone. Where is Cordelia by the way?" Wesley asked when he noticed she wasn't with Angel.
"She went up stairs to get some rest. It's been a long night, I think we could all use a little rest." Angel said looking at the other tired faces.
"Yes, I think you're right. We could all go for a good night sleep." Wesley said taking off his glasses.
"Why don't you all sleep here for today, just to be on the safe side." Angel told the other.
"You don't think they would try something else so soon do you?" Gunn asked
"I'm not sure, but I don't want to risk it. Angel said with a low growl. He didn't like the idea of any of his small, and some time annoying family in trouble.
"Also tonight I want to see of we can find a way to bring Dennis to the hotel." Angel said looking at Wesley.
"Cordy's upset enough as it is. I don't want her to have to worry about Dennis to.
"Right." Wesley said. "We'll get started on that first thing after we get some sleep
Meanwhile upstairs
Cordelia was getting dressed after a nice hot shower. She felt guilty for lying to Angel. She wasn't tired. Well, she was tired, but that wasn't the reason for the look on her face. The truth was she was keeping a secret from Angel. She didn't lie when she had told him the visions weren't killing her any more. She just left out a few details. She told him that she had proven herself as asset to the PTB, so they let her keep the vision with out them killing her. She was afraid to tell him that she was now part demon. She thought he wouldn't love her any more, and leave her to be with Buffy. Buffy might be the slayer, but at least she was all the way human. As much as she tried not to Cordelia would always compare herself to Buffy.
Cordelia seemed to be deep in thought when Angel came in to the room.
"Hey." He said as he sat down next to her on the bed.
Cordelia looked over at him and smiled. "Hi." Cordelia said so softly that if he wasn't a vampire she wouldn't have heard her.
"Cordy what's wrong?" Angel asked as he gently touched her face.
'Angel you will always be here for me right?" Cordelia asked as a tear ran down her cheek.
"Of course I will, you know that." Angel said whipping away her tears
Please don't leave me Angel. I don't know if I could handle it if I lost you." Cordelia said looking away.
"Cordelia look at me." Angel said a he turned her face to look at him. "I love you, I'm never going to leave you."
"Angel I just love you so much. I.. I..."
Shhh Cordy don't cry." Angel said as he softly kissed her lips.
At first the kiss was soft and gentle, but it slowly became more passionate. Cordelia wrapped her arms around Angels neck, as they gently fell back on the bed.
"Angel" Cordy softly moaned. I need to breath. Angel looked down into Cordelia's eyes. "You're tired. You should rest, we can do this later.
"Angel no please.... I need to feel you inside me." Cordelia said as she brought her lips back to Angel's.
"Are you sure?" Angel asked braking free from their kiss.
"Yes, Angel please make love to me." Cordelia said longing to feel Angels lips on hers once more.
Angel leaned his head and began to kiss her. First her lips and let her neck, as he brought her arms above her head. As much as he loved to undress her, he was happy she was only wearing one of his T-shirt.
Once he had the shirt off he slowly kissed his way down her body, while his hands were creasing every inch of her body.
"Angel." Cordelia moaned.
Angel looked up at Cordelia and smiled, as he stood up and quickly undressed, then brought he body back down to hers. Slowly the two bodies became one, as they lost themselves in one anothers love.
The sun had already gone down when Angel woke with Cordelia still wrapped in his arms. He wanted to stay like that forever, but he knew it was time to get up. He slowly unwrapped his body from Cordelia's trying not to wake her up.
"Angel." Cordelia mumbled when she felt the loss of his body next to hers.
"Shhh, I'm right here Cordy," Angel said as he sat back down on the bed "I didn't mean to wake you."
"It's ok." she said as she opened her eyes to look at him "Were are you going?" Cordelia asked when she noticed that he was fully dressed.
"Just down stairs. The others and I are going to look and see if we can find something that will allow us to bring Dennis to the hotel.
"Really?" Cordelia asked smiling
"Yes, really. I thought you might like to have your favorite ghost here with you." Angel said smiling back at her.
"Oh Angel thank you." Cordelia said as she threw her arms around him.
"Since your up why don't you get dressed, and come down stairs.. I'll make you some thing to eat." Angel said as he kissed her lips.
"Eggs?" Cordelia asked.
"Whatever you want." Angel said as he stood up.
Hmm Cordelia thought for a minuet. "I think I want eggs."
"Ok eggs it is. I'll meet you down stairs in a few minuets." Angel said as he left the room.

"Damn it!" Lindsey yelled pushing his things off his desk in a fit rage.
"Lindsey calm down." Lilah yelled at him.
"I told you to make sure every thing was set. How could you not know she wasn't home?" Lindsey said with his voice rising.
"She was home. She must have gotten out when we weren't looking." Lilah said defending herself.
"We can't let that prophecy start to take place. Once it has she'll be harder to kill." Lindsey said in a cold voice.
"How are we going to get her away from Angel long enough to do anything?" Lilah asked "You leave that up to me. Soon that bitch will be gone for good." Lindsey said with an evil grin on his face.

Hyperion..
“You know Angel for someone who doesn’t eat, you really do know how to cook.”
Cordelia said taking the last bite of her eggs.
Angel just smiled, he loved to watch Cordelia eat. “I’m glad you liked them.”
“I suppose we should get to work, and help the other find a way to bring Dennis here.”
Cordelia said as she places her dish in the sink.
“Ya, we should after all he is your ghost.” Angel said as he put his arms around Cordelias
waist, and smiled.
“Angel are you sure your Ok about this?” Cordelia asked. “I mean I’ll understand if your
not. I know Dennis can be a pain at times.”
“Cordy it’s Ok. It will be good for you to have Dennis here. Besides he can keep an eye
on you when I’m not here.”
“Good just what I need.” Cordelia rolled her eyes.
Angel laughed and softly kissed her on her lips. “Come on lets get to work.”

“Damn it!” Lilah hissed as she read over a paper she had just received.
“Lindsey isn’t going to like this.” Lilah said as she walked out of her office
Mean while Lindsey was in his office talking on the phone.
“Once the job is done, and I have proof you will get your money. Make sure don’t forget
to send the pictures to the address I gave you.” Lindsey hung up the phone while an icy
smile formed on his face.
“I wouldn’t be so happy if I were you.” Lilah said walking in to Lindsey office.
“Read this.” Lilah said handing Lindsey the paper.
Lilah could have sworn she heard Lindsey growl as he read it. In a fit a rage Lindsey
threw is glass of whiskey at the wall.
“Do you realize now the prophecy has started, it’s only going to make it harder to kill
her.” Lilah glared at Lindsey.
“ I know damn well what it means.” Lindsey shouted. “Assemble the team.. This ends
tonight.

Back at the hotel
“I think we have about read every book Wesley has, and we still can’t find anything.”
Cordelia said closing the book in front of her.
“Don’t worry I’m sure will find something.” Angel said try to reassure her.
“Angels right Cordelia. I believe I have some old books still in the office that might
help.” Wesley said getting up and going to his office. “Yes, here they are.” Wesley said
reaching for the books. As he grabbed the last book a very old looking piece of paper fell
out.
“What do we have her?.” Wesley mumbled picking up the piece of paper. The writing on
the paper looked as if it was the same writing on angel scroll. As he scanned the paper he
found a vague translation at the bottom.
“Good lord.” Wesley said dropping the other books he was still holding.
Causing the other to run in to the office.
“Wes are you all right?” Angel asked coming over to his side.
“Angel I think your going to need to sit down, before you read this. A very concerned
Wesley said looking at Angel then at everyone else.
“What is it?” Angel asked not sitting down.
“It looks like it is part of the scroll that has been translated.” Wesley said taking in a deep
breath.
“What does it say?” Angel asked now getting worried
“Angel it’s about Cordelia.”
“What?” Cordelia gasps.
“Wesley tell me what it say.” Angel growls.
“Angel don’t growl at him.” Cordelia scolded
“Wesley please just tell us what it say.” Cordelia calmly asked.
Wesley sighed. “It says The seer shall give up her humanity, then bring forth life were
there is no life. This life shall bring goodness to the earth.
“Wesley what does it mean give up her humanity?” Angel asked
“I can’t believe it.” Cordelia said before Wesley could answer.
“I just can’t believe it. They have known about this from the start and they didn’t say
anything.
“Believe what? And who didn’t say anything?” Angel asked
Cordelia began to passé the floor completely ignoring Angels questions.
“You think they could have said something from the start, but no. What do they do sit
around and for fun say hey since we don’t have anything better to do why don’t we give
Cordelia mind numbing killer visions for 2 years. Then just before they actually do kill
me say, oh by they way we forgot to tell you about a tiny loop whole. I mean it’s really
not that big of a deal or anything you only have to become part demon.
“Part what!” Angel growled
“Oh my god.” Cordelia said realizing she had just said all that out loud.

Hyperion.
“Cordelia what are you talking about? What do you mean part demon?” Angel asked trying to make sense of what had just happened.
“Angel I... I..... I can’t do this.” Cordelia whimpered. “I need to, I have to go.” Cordelia said making her way to he door.
“Your not going any were.” Angel said grabbing her arm.
“Let me go Angel.” Cordelia said trying to pull her arm free of his grasp.
“I’m not going to let you walk away this time Cordelia. You have to tell me what’s going on.”
“Angel please.” Cordelia cried. “Let me go.”
“I’m sorry Cordelia but I can’t, not this time.” Angel said blocking her only way out of the room.
“Please Angel I’m begging you.” Cordelia whispered as her tears ran down her face.
Angel’s unbeating heart broke as he looked in to her eyes. He had never seen her like this before, so freighted. She was trembling with fear. He didn’t know what to do, so he did the only thing he could do. He wrapped his arms around her and held her.
“Shhh Cordy. What ever it is it will be all right, just please don’t shut me out.”
The other stood back in shock. They had never seen Cordelia just brake down like this before.
Angel carried Cordelia over to the couch and sat her down.
“Cordy you need to talk to me please.” Angel said as he lifted Cordelia’s chin to look at
him.
“I’m so sorry Angel. I just couldn’t let you go.” Cordelia said still softly crying.
“I don’t understand. What do you mean you couldn’t let me go?” Angel asked
“I lied to you Angel, about my birthday. I didn’t tell you everything,” Cordelia said as she
bit her bottom lip. Like she always did when she was nervous.
“What didn’t you tall me Cordelia?” Angel asked as he stooped himself from growling at her.
“I didn’t tell you that they gave me a choice. I could keep the visions and die or I could
have the life I was ment to have. I could be a star, but I wouldn’t remember my life with you.” Cordelia said as she wiped her tears away.
“Cor.” Angel started to say but was cut off as Cordelia put her fingers up to his lips.
“Please Angel let me finish.”
Angel said Ok and Cordelia continued.
“I saw you talk to talking to powers. I heard you tell them that I was week, that I was just a rich girl form Sunnydale. I was hurt by you when you said that about me, so I told Skip
to take the visions, and give me a new life. My new life was great, but I felt like I was missing something. For some reason I was drawn back to the hotel, back to your room. I found the address that I had writing down of the girl in trouble from my vision. I went to
her house to talk to her. I didn’t know why though. She was trying to bring her dad back, but got a demon instead. Thankfully Wesley and Gunn showed up and killed it. I stated to talk to Wesley and he told me that he and Gunn worked with you to kill demons. He said
you weren’t the Angel I knew from back in Sunnydale. You had gotten visions from a friend that you used to work with before he died. You couldn’t handle the visions they were making you crazy. I didn’t care I told Wesley to take me to you. My heart broke when I saw you. You were so scared, so alone. I don’t know why I did it but I kissed you.
When I did that I took the visions back. I remembered everything. You, Wesley, Fred, Gunn, everything. I told Skip I wanted my life back, the he needed to find a loophole, because I was to valuable to the Powers. Skip stated that the only loophole involves me
being made part-demon, but the physical and mental effects of that choice would be unpredictable. Without little consideration I looked over at you accepted. I couldn’t give up my life with you, not again.” Cordelia said as she finished and looked at Angel for his
reaction to what she had just told him
“How could you do that Cordy? How could you give up part of your humanity for me?” Angel asked
“Because I love you, Because I like being the person I am today and not the Queen C bitch from high school.” Cordelia smiled at Angel
“Why did you lie to me? Why didn’t you tell me? Angel asked
“I was just a week rich girl from Sunnydale, and now I was part demon. I thought you wouldn’t love me any more. That you would leave me, because I’m decussating demon. That you would want to be with Buffy again.” Cordelia started to cry again.
“I didn’t mean those thing I said about you. I was just scared that I was going to lose you, and why would I want to go back to Buffy? I’m in love with you Cordy and nothing will ever change that.” Angel said softly touched her face.
“Because I’m part demon now, and I know Buffy the slayer, but at least she is all human.” Cordelia said looking away from Angel.
“Cordelia look at me. I love you, and I always will no matter what. I will never leave you, not even for Buffy.” Angel said as he kissed her softly on the lips.
Chapter 6
Wolfram & Hart
Lindsey was fuming as he waited for the confirmation to being his plan. What started out as a fun task of killing Cordelia was starting to become more trouble then he had hoped for. He needed to put an end to this for one and all.
"Every thing is ready to go." Lilah said entering the office "We'll need to act fast it wont take them long to figure it out."
"With Angel now out of the way it wont take long at all." Lindsey said coldly, as he and Lilah made their way out of the office.

"Angel I'm fine." Cordelia said for the third time since her vision.
"Cordelia I don't want to leave you alone." Angel said in a low growl.
"How many times do I have to tell you Angel that I will be fine, but those people wont if you don't go." Cordelia said with her hands firmly on her hips. "Besides the other will be back soon with dinner so I wont be alone for long."
"Cordy I." Angel started to say, but was cut off before he could even finish.
"Angel I know, but I promise everything will be ok." Cordelia said as she softly touched Angels face. "Now go."
Angel knew he would never win. "Fine just don't leave the hotel." Angel said quickly make his way to the door.
"What a dork." Cordelia said to herself once Angel had gone. "Acting like something bad was going to
happen just because I would be alone for all of 15 minuets."
"That's maybe because he was right." A familiar voice said from behind Cordelia.
Cordelia turned around quickly to find Lindsey and Lilah along with about ten armed men standing in the lobby
"Oh great if it isn't my least two favorite people." Cordelia said with a fake smile. "What do you want?"
"Nothing much, just you dead." Lilah said with a laugh.
"You guys do remember my boyfriend right? Big strong vampire, who will so kill you if you even lay a finger on me." Cordelia said in her Queen C tone.
"Yes, very true." Lindsey said. "But with that little vision we sent you he'll be gone for a while."
"You wont get away with it." Cordelia said now getting scared.
"I know, but I'm willing to give it a try. How about you?" Lindsey asked Lilah.
"And give up the chance of seeing Angel suffer never." Lilah said flashing an evil smile.
Cordelia knew she needed to act fast. If she tried to run for it she wasn't sure if she would get far. Maybe if she distracted them long enough Wesley and Gunn would be back to save her.
"Oh I so can't wait for Angel to kill you dead." Cordelia said now in her full Queen C mode.
"Yes, but you wont believe alive now to see it will you." Lindsey said getting tired of all the talk moving to grab Cordelia.
"Get away from her now!" A woman said in a low growl.
"What the.. " Lindsey said quickly turning to see another young women now standing in the lobby.
"I said get away from her." The women growled again, and a move of her hand she sent two of the men flying into the wall.
"Get her!" Lilah yelled to the other armed men, but they soon to quickly end up on the ground.
"I suggest if you do not wish to end up like them you leave now." The women said never taking her eyes off Lindsey or Lilah as she moved closer to Cordelia.
Lindsey and Lilah weren't stupid. They knew right now for the time being that they were no match for the new stranger..
"This is far from over." Lindsey hissed as he and Lilah left.
"Are you all right?" The women asked very concerned about Cordelia's safety.
"I'm fine." Cordelia said not quite sure what to make of this women to has just saved her life.
"It's ok Cordelia. There is no need to worry I wont hurt you." The women said smiling.
"I don't want to seem rude or any thing cause you did just save my life and all, but who are you?" Cordelia asked.
"A friend." The women replied simply.
Cordelia looked at the women standing in front of her, and knew she was telling the truth. She had only known this person for a matter of minuets, but there was something about her that made her feel safe. Then she looked in to her eyes and knew.
"May?" Cordelia asked softly.
"So, I see you do know who I am." May smiled.
"But how?" Cordelia asked. "I don't understand."
"I'm a guardian. I have been sent here from the Powers that Be to make sure that the Prophecy comes to be, and to do that I must protect the child." May said to Cordelia, who did not fully understand what she had just been told.
