The roar of the engine echoed throughout the whole alley. Three dark figures shot out hearing the blood-curling scream filling the silent night, sending chills up their spines. They ran blindly toward the familiar terror filled voice, once cheery and teasing now filled with fear and horror.
They reached the dark figure that loomed over their friend just in time to see it stab her in the gut repeatedly.
Two figure’s stopped dead in their tracks, unable to move, filled with fear, dread creeping into them as in slow motion they saw the lifeless body fall, eyes wide open full of pain, mouth hanging in an ‘o’ shape, blooding spilling wetting the floor and the sickening THUD as the figure finally crashed to the floor.
The other figure ran over with incredible speed that could only be described as supernatural and snapped the neck of the thing that dared to touch his friend. He whipped round as he heard the body crashing to the floor. He immediately ran over to his friend looking for signs of life. He felt for her pulse even though he could hear no heartbeat. There was no breath passing through her lips.
The two standing figures watched, tears streaming down their faces as the dark figure held the lifeless body tightly against his own. Their hearts broke at his agony filled screams that pierced the deathly silence. Sobs violently shaking his body. His heart crumbed into millions of tiny pieces. The pain so unbearable it made him pant even though he didn't need to. His one ray of light now replaced with darkness that now filled his soul.
He couldn’t save her.
His best friend was dead.
End.
