The Kilborn File

CC is scheduled to appear on the Kilborn File this Tuesday (Aug 3).

I had never heard of this show, so I looked it up on IMDB
Quote:
The show debuted on seven Fox television stations, in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Boston, Austin, and Detroit, for a six-week test run.
Supposedly it's a little like his late night show. I guess it started last week.
In my area it's on at 7:30 P.M. eastern time

It's been on for a couple of weeks here in NY/NJ, replaced my Simpsons at 7PM. I've never been a big fan of his but I'll tune in to see CC.

I wonder if she's promoting Butterfinger or Expendables? Maybe both?

She's listed as "Actress Charisma Carpenter ("The Expendables").", so hopefully none of that Butterfinger foolishness. (Sorry; it rankles.)

I found a few eps online. It seems to follow the same theme when Kilborn did the very early "Daily Show".

Monologue
News bits
interview
questions contest

To me it looks like he couldn't come up with anything really new for a show. Its almost exactly the same as the early Daily Show. And I do recall Kilborn made sure to take the 'concept of asking questions' was not used on the Daily Show after he left. On the early Daily Show after the interview was over the guest would get five easy questions to get laughs. Well on the 'Files' show its kind of a Japensese thing with him walking around and giving the questions at random. But the main guest (at least in the ep I saw) did not do the questions, it was two other people.

Just to be honest I do not think this show will last. Kilborn has had two other shows... and got kicked off both of them.

Hooray! (Not for the show, so much as seeing CC on tv again) It will be on in Chicago too!

Best thing Kilby ever did was leave The Daily Show. I love it now, Jon Stewart is an awesome host.

Totally agree on the Butterfinger stuff. I'm rather pleasantly surprised that she's doing promo work for The Expendables, given how small her role is I didn't really think they'd send her out there.

If I recall right he was not well liked by the staff at the Daily Show at the end. But somehow he got offered the CBS nighttime talkshow... and screwed that up as well.

Totally adorable interview and WAY too short. I had no idea she was afraid of roller coasters (me too!)

I can't tell if she cut her hair or they just styled it under. My mom watched it with me and when I mentioned CC was 40, my mom thought I was lying. LOL
