Cordy/CC postive book Hollywood Vampire Re-Released and Updated

I come bearing gifts of new book information.

Keith Topping’s Hollywood Vampire has just been updated and re-released, this time current up to the end of season four. Now, I know a lot of us don’t watch the show anymore, and therefore do not buy related merchandise, but I felt that this was worth a mention. The author is quite a big Cordelia fan, and even has a section on many episodes called ‘The Charisma Show’. This can be a one liner of an entire paragraph on his opinions on her in that particular episode. Part of his intro talk about that section was ‘For many, even before the cameras started rolling. The main centre of attention wasn’t Angel himself ‘David Boreanaz, but rather his female co-star…’

Another example is his comments in that section for the episode of Birthday are:
The Charisma Show: Yes, it literally is. And it’s about time everybody realised it.’

There are many other comments from him praising her throughout the book in other sections as too, as well as a quite a long mention at the end of the book about the show’s new direction and it’s missing cast members, including printing quotes from Joss and the actors, showing Joss saying one thing, and the actors saying another. Lol

It’s only £6.99 (it’s RRP is $7.95 US/$12.50 Canadian). So it’s not expensive and it’s nice to see a book, even unofficial giving CC and Cordy the praise they deserve.

For those who might get the books confused, in the UK at least, the first version of the book (up to the end of season 2) was black, but this new updated version is red.

Thanks, Em.

I'll keep an eye out. I've got some space on my bookshelves.

Thanks for the link and info Jake.

It was offically out on the 8th, so I guess it's still not out everywhere. I managed to get my copy in Waterstones though, so UK peeps could try there (or pehaps Smiths, since they tend to supply pretty much every other shop.)

Oh, UK folds can get it from Amazon.co.uk which is currently selling it.

Here's the co.uk link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...830989-9427621

I've got the old version which was S1-2.

If only my parents would let me buy the updated version....

Or if S3-4 were in a seperate book.

I'm not much of an online shopper and no offense, but i'm not thinking the books are going to be sold out right away.

So could someone, when the time happens, maybe post the exact date it comes out? It would be the best. With school and everything, i won't hardly even have time to post my fanfic's (let alone write them) and i would be extremely thankful.

I'm looking forward to the Cordelia Centric Angel guide. Heh. The closest i got to good, Cordelia reveiws was in that Bite Me! one where it has small reveiws of Angel from S1-S3.

I'd LOVE to see what a Cordy-centric proffessional thinks about Season Four.

CAMartin, it is out now, in the UK at least. It's release date was 8 January. No date has been given as far as I know for other places, though it has been released on the 8th in other parts of Europe too.

Keith Topping really appreciates Charisma's work on the show and has been unstinting in his admiration for her (even during the EvilCordy eps, when she received a bit of flak for her acting), so it'll be interesting to see what he thinks of Season 5. For the record, he loved Season 4 and thought it was the best season of genre television (if not television, period) he'd seen in years.

Either it's just the stores in my area or what, but they don't have the new version of HollyWood Vampire in their stores, they don't even have them in their warehouses.

Anyone else have my luck?
