Now, I don't claim to be a whiz at simple arithmetic, but that looks like a lead of 1,064.

And that means that SMG fans have discovered a way to vote multiple times.

It is time that you, and you over there, and you, too, go out and find new converts. Or at least someone willing to agree that Charisma is a very beautiful woman.

CC fans are still voting, but not in the record numbers we should be.

Charisma's 1,000 vote lead is in jeopardy. As of a few moments ago:

Charisma Carpenter: 2,954 (36%)
Sarah Michelle Gellar: 1,922 (23%)

So the lead is now just 1,032.

The lead has dropped by over a hundred votes. True, Charisma still has a very commanding lead, but come on, we can't let the lead evaporate.

I have actually convinced three of my co-workers to visit the web poll (on work time, of course... )and vote for Charisma. I saw them do it. And after clicking on a few of CC's more stunning photos, they were very smitten! So much so that they promised me they would vote from their computers at home.

So don't let up.

We're approaching the THREE THOUSAND vote mark.

According to the web site, this Battle of the Buffy Babes winds up this month, so we should make every effort we can to finish with a big push.

We have now crossed the THREE THOUSAND vote mark for Charisma. However, SMG fans pushed Gellar's votes over two thousand.

I hope we can continue to rally.

So that thousand vote lead we worked so hard to get is gone, at least temporarily. The lead is now 958.

OK. I want CC to win. I voted for her. So did everyone else in my family. But we each voted once. My guess is that the poll would allow us to vote only once in any event, but that's what we did.

Anyone who has not voted for CC should get off his or her behind and do so now.

But having said all that, there is something not-quite-right about a poll (a) that permits multiple voting but only by folks who can figure out how to project a new IP address each time and not by others; (b) that therefore permits a small number of CC fans or SMG fans (or ED fans or whatever) to rig the results; and (c) that has no cut-off date but rather extends infinitely or until the web host arbitrarily pulls it down. Not to mention that the site for the poll appears to set international and historic records for most spyware on a single webpage.

So I want CC to win. But for me the cut-off date is hereby officially made today. So she's won, officially, and I'm done with this poll.

The lead is beginning to build up again. After shrinking to less than 700 votes, Charisma fans have turned out in even greater numbers. The lead has again grown to over 800 votes.

And any SMG lurkers out there who may be following this seesaw tussle between the fans of the two actresses, please make sure you read the Carpenter interview over at SMGFAN.com. You can find the thread elsewhere in this forum.

Reading that interview, you can see that Charisma is not only beautiful looking, she is a genuinely nice, truly likeable person, very humble. She likes and admires her fellow castmates, and respects their talents and successes. She is surprised and touched by the affection her fans have for her.

Charisma deserves all our efforts in this poll. She is the hottest Buffy babe.
