BTW, Joss will NOT be attending.

Universal Pictures has just informed us that due to a personal commitment, Joss Whedon will not be attending Dragon*Con 2005.

Well, at this point it's pretty much official that I won't make it. It's a big stretch to get vacation days this time of year, even just one or two, and this time it was a complete nonstarter. Y'all don't forget to have a mai tai for me!

Sorry sweetie. It would've been great. Unfortunately, I imagine the prices just shot through the roof. Atlanta's gas is already up to $3.00 a galleon and they're saying dark things about jet fuel at the airport.

For Friday night, do we want to the old haunt or since we're a small group do we want to try something on Peachtree? I can try for reservations if we want.

Tara, FYI lime breezers are a no go. Mother and I went on a hunt to 6 different places, and none had it. I think it might have been discontinued.

D*C 2005 has unofficially been kicked off. Met up in the Marriot in Katy & Trace's hospitality suite. You wouldn't believe the variety of booze they have for four dyas.

Lily and Emma have hit town and we're already meeting up w/ friends and making new ones. Unfortunately, we haven't picked up any male friends yet as Katy's mentioned, more than once. She's particularly looking out for one Richard Hatch. I don't think it's going to be pretty when she finds him.

Had a loud dinner at the Hard Rock and am plotting our ~~stalking~~ event schedule for the weekend. It's going to be harder as D*C has now annexed the Hilton too.

Will update later.
