Back to The Division -- a quick glance at available sides for CC's episode suggests that she'll be playing a character named Emma Weber. If enough people want to be spoiled, I'll download the pages.
Meanwhile, there are no sides available for Trading Up, at least not at Showfax.

Okay, I DL'ed them. PM me with your e-mail addy if you'd like. Preview in spoiler font:
--->Emma Weber is a longterm patient in a Bay Area nursing home who has to help solve the random shooting that killed her husband and left her comatose for eight years. Emma's sister has been raising the Webers' son, who is now 10 years old and afraid to meet his real mother. Meanwhile, Emma's memories of the crime lead the police to suspect a fellow officer. The story is told partially in flashback, contrasting healthy, uninjured mid-20s Emma with recovering early-30s Emma. Needless to say, this has the potential to be pretty heavy stuff, and it's a very interesting choice for CC, especially as the script sets her up for the sort of character exploration that pointedly never happened during Cordelia's return on AtS.<---

Thanks, Penny!
The role looks nice and meaty, and should be a nice addition to CC's resume. And I personally can't wait to see it!

Oh, looks juicy! I love that Charisma can do comedy with the best of them, but can also do the heavy, meaty roles. Only talented actors are able to do funny and serious well. And Charisma can do both, even at the same time!

Ooooh, I think this was a very smart move by CC and John Carabino (who I just saw at the Oscars with Renee Zellweger when she won. He got a huge thank you). CC really hasn't had a chance to do a lot of really heavy, dramatic work. It's good that she can explore that in a one episode arc first as opposed to starring in a movie or series with a lot of heavy drama. This should allow her to get her feet wet in a show that will be seen but doesn't necessariy have a huge audience. It's a very safe way for her to branch out and try new things.

I find this: "...left her comatose for eight years..." amusing.

Great news!
Wow, that is great news that CC is auditioning for some new series next year. I miss seeing her on TV each week. And with CC in a Division episode, I'll have finally have a good reason to wach Lifetime. I am sure that the show is better than their cheesy movies, which are completely addicting.
As for the ABC pilots, I thought the dramas sounded more promising than the comedies. Maybe she would work on an hour-long show if the hours were better than Angel. "The Catch" and "Eyes" sounded interesting, as did the "Demarco Affair" (even though DEK has a spotty record with shows lately). If she ends up on a comedy, I am hoping for "Kat plus 1" or the John Stamos show. In "Hot Mamma" she would have to play older and that might hurt her later?

Kat Plus One really sounds promising, though. And if CC would take a drama if the hours and quality were right, why not 24? Leslie Hope, who played Teri Bauer in Season 1, played a major-major character and yet has talked about how there were so many subplots and locations going on that she frequently had eight days on and two weeks off at a time and could schedule shoots around her PTA meetings. That sounds like a gig for a working mom. ETA: Trivia 4 D day -- The Division is produced by Viacom, which also produces (or produced) Charmed, Ed, Jake 2.0, and virtually every VH1 series ever on the air, including Behind the Music and -- wait for it! -- Strange Frequency.

I like Kat Plus One it sounds interesting, kind of like SJD meets Baby Boom.
I'm not really big on sitcoms, I don't watch them religiously so I wish CC would take an hour long drama but if she gets a pilot I'll be sure to tune in. ABC has done quite well in re-building their comedy line up so it would be really cool if she ended up on that network. BTW - Anyone else giddy by the fact that she's had lots offers and has the ability to be picky?
