Why C/A appealed to me

This just kind of got me thinking while I was watching "To Shanshu in L.A." this morning on TNT. When Wesley mentions about how Angel doesn't want anything and is cut off from the world. That pissed Cordelia off. When she heard that, to her that was unacceptable. She then decides to make it her mission to make him apart of the world.

Then there's the scene later in the hospital. Angel stated in season three that he could deal with losing Buffy. However, rewind back to season one, you look in his eyes when Cordelia is going into convulsions, and he looks scared to death at the thought of her dying.
