Well, Jake, I think who Charisma would date (hypothetically) and who Serena would date are probably two different things.
That being said, I'm perfectly happy for her to keep appearing on Miss Match as opposed to something else. It may not be sticking around, but it IS a show that still has critical buzz, and that's worth something. Hopefully she'll be starring in something completely new next season, so there's no need to get involved in a show that will be around for longer than the rest of this year. Moreoever, I hope that a recurring role will allow her to showcase different nuances to the character than a one time guest spot somewhere else will. Miss Match may be underperforming in the ratings, but it is still produced by some very powerful people in Hollywood, and I think it's better for her to be associated with talent, and to endear herself to that talent. And really, I don't think her two guest spots have been "brief" in context so far - in fact, she's had more screen time on both episodes to date than she had in some AtS episodes over the years. So all in all, for better or worse, I'm happy enough to watch 2 or more CC appearances on Miss Match to finish the year off, supporting her by e-mails, etc. to NBC (which we KNOW has open comedy slots next year), and hoping for the best.

I have a question regarding Charisma's upcoming episodes: Are they airing back-to-back, like a two-parter, or are they just random one-shots?

yes, IF the information at TVNOW.com is accurate.---see post below
tv now site they show appearances for the whole month, and they show alicia silverstone appearing in miss match on the last friday of the month, however, no other site lists this info yet, but up to now tvnow has been pretty accurate with it's info. this is just a date to shoot for until we get a firm date (there's a rumor that they may even hold the show and re-introduce it next fall with a lot of hype, and in a new time slot) finally got the starmeter for this week starmeter: cc..........75--up from 97 smg is.....71 movie meter: angel.........43 miss match....2127 tru calling...1141 boston public.1469 anyone who wants any additions to this list, let me know.

The NBC show web page still isn't listing a date for the next new episode.
Given NBC's recent announcements relating to "shaking" up traditional programming, I think it's anyone's guess as to what their plans are for airing the remaining eps. They may even hold off until closer to the summer, to see if they can build an audience by counter-programming Miss Match against repeats of other programs.
