Yay CC! It's about time!

Are we for sure that VooDoo Moon is getting a theatrical release, or it is just assumptions at this point?

Either way, I'm hella excited. Yay!

Well, one of the linked news reports seems to indicate that the distributor/production company will be talking it up at Cannes, so I imagine they're at least planning a theatrical release. Hard to assume, of course, but it sounds good.

For whatever reason it doesn't strike me as a major theatrical release. Anybody remember the way House of 1000 Corpses was released a couple years ago? I'm banking on that type of movie and release.

The movie sounds like it has a hella lota potential. And from what I gather it just started filming recently. Hopefully a distributor will be found. Maybe Lions Gate. They seem to latch on to the horror stuff.

I don't know, I'm assuming it hasn't even been filmed yet, so who knows about a theatrical release.

Laim - I have no idea about limited release or straight to DVD (I hope not) but after the success of the The Grudge it might have a good shot at it.

Cannes is a good place to start promotion.

It looks like Charisma is sticking with the "cult" genre and status and I think it's a smart move.

I agree with that. Some people have a remarkable amount of success by sticking with a genre and build fruitful careers. Jeffrey Combs and Bruce "The Man, The Myth, The Legend" Campbell are prime examples. Charisma has the looks, ability, and talent to make it as a power player in the scifi/horror/fantasy genres.

Pish-posh. No one believes that.

I dunno. What I'm reading about it (admittedly the same things you can read about it), it doesn't sound any worse than an average episode of Buffy or Angel. And truthfully, once you've seen "Apocalypse, Nowish," can anything really be that scary?

Don't forget Sheryl "Wrapped in plastic" Lee, Lucy Lawless, Lynda Carter, James Spader, and David Carradine along with Bruce Campbell-- all whom have an insanely large and devoted following, to this day.

Again, look to Sheryl Lee and Lucy Lawless- a hot, talented lady in a cool flick makes the fanboys go wild.

Personally, I'd like to see her get out of the cult genre, it works but I think she can do better than that. When I see what CC brings to a guest spot on Charmed or LAX I see how wonderfull she can be as a comedic/dramatic supporting actor. IMO, she should be going after Joan Cusack or Bonnie Hunt type roles instead.

As for this role, I hope it opens doors for CC to get more movie/TV offers.

I am shooting a great horror/sci fi film this week entitled “Voodoo Moon.” (It may end up being called “Harvest Moon.”) I actually play a character who is based on my grandmother and also happens to be a healer. Funny how life matches you up.
Her site doesn't give a date for that piece of news, but it must have been posted sometime between January and April.

Well isn't this just a kick in the pants! Great news! I hope it is filmed already - and that CC has been quietly working and we'll see her on the big screen soon. Or maybe not so quietly, that girl knows how to scream.

With a scream like hers it only makes sense that she'd make a horror film eventually .
