The Chronicles of Cordelia and Angel

I've done this on a couple of other websites before, and I thought I'd do it now that I'm a member over here too. The following is an episode by episode timeline of all the C/Aer moments. I'd love some feedback on this, and if I've forgotten anything, please feel free to add on.

1.) City of... - Angel saves Cordelia from Russell Winters by picking her up in his arms and jumping over the bannister to the floor below. Cordelia bandages Angel's wounds for the first of what will be many times. Angel and Cordelia exchange smiles when she comes in and takes over his office.

3.) In the Dark - Even though they are overmatched, Cordelia leads Doyle and Oz on a mission to rescue Angel from Spike and Marcus.

5.) Rm w/a Vu - When the conditions in her apartment become too much for her, Cordelia moves in with Angel. The look on Doyle's face was priceless when he thought Angel and Cordelia slept together. Angel worries about what Maude will do to Cordelia. Angel gives her a pep talk to inspire Cordelia to stand up to Maude.

6.) Sense and Sensitivity - Cordelia is upset that Angel didn't notice her new shoes.

8.) I Will Remember You - Cordelia worries about how Buffy's appearance will effect Angel emotionally.

9.) Hero - Angel and Cordelia cried in each other's arms over the loss of Doyle.

10.) Parting Gifts - Cordelia kisses Angel (in an attempt to get rid of the visions.) Angel saves Cordelia from Barney. Cordelia hugs Angel and tells him that she knew he'd save her. Angel cooks breakfast for Cordelia.

11.) Somnambulist - Cordelia refuses to believe that Angel has turned evil. They have a conversation on the roof where Angel says that he knows he can trust Cordelia to stake him if he were to turn evil again.

12.) Expecting - Angel worries about Cordelia when she doesn't show up for work. When Cordelia worries about her pregnancy, Angel assures her that she will not be alone. Cordelia tells Angel and Wesley that she knows she can trust them with her life.

14.) I've Got You Under My Skin - Cordelia gets Angel to open up to her after he accidentally calls Wesley, "Doyle."

17.) Eternity - Angel lies about Cordelia's performance, because he doesn't want to hurt her feelings. Cordelia ignores her admiration of Ms. Lowell, when trying to figure out what happened to Angel.

19.) Sanctuary - Cordelia trusted that Angel was making the right decision regarding Faith. (She still decided to go on vacation though.)

20.) War Zone - Cordelia gets to bandage Angel's wounds again. Angel makes a joke about Cordelia's love of money.

22.) To Shanshu in L.A. - Cordelia tries to make Angel feel like he's apart of the world. For the first time that I can recall, we actually see legitimate fear on Angel's face as he holds Cordelia's hand in the hospital, while she is having the nonstop visions. Angel fights Vocah and cuts off Lindsey's hand in order to save Cordelia. When she returns to normal, Cordelia tells Angel about all the people she saw and that they have to help them. Angel assures her, "We will." Cordelia wants to break out the champagne and celebrate the news that Angel might get to be a human again someday.

23.) Judgment - Cordelia comforts Angel when kills a demon he didn't know was good.

24.) Are You Know or Have You Ever Been? - It's the first time Angel calls her Cordy.

26.) Untouched - Cordelia warns Bethany, "Don't bone my boss."

27.) Dear Boy - Cordelia fears Angel might be losing his mind when he starts seeing Darla everywhere.

29.) Darla - Angel tells the group that he doesn't want Darla to go through the pain of dealing with having a soul alone like he did. Cordelia tells him, "You're not alone."

36.) The Thin Dead Line - Cordelia, Wesley, and Gunn get a brief glimmer of hope when Anne mentions that Angel tried to help her.

37.) Reprise - Angel warns Cordelia to move before taking a book from their office. Had it been anyone else, I don't think there would have been a warning.

38.) Ephiphany - After his ephiphany, the first member of the group Angel went to see was Cordelia. Angel drove Lindsey's truck into the house to save Cordelia. When Cordelia has a vision, Angel catches her.

39.) Disharmony - Angel sticks up for Cordelia to Wesley and Gunn when they wonder if she maybe made a mistake with her vision. After Willow calls to inform him about Harmony, Angel rushes to Cordelia's apartment to save her. Angel tries to warn Cordelia that because of the nature of being a vampire, Harmony will turn her. Angel finally wins Cordelia over by buying her clothes.

40.) Dead End - Cordelia cries in Angel's arms after getting the vision of a man stabbing himself in the eye. Angel brings a bunch of sandwiches to the office, because he couldn't remember what Cordelia liked. Cordelia tells Angel that she loves him, and when he smiles she adds, "And you should do that more often."

41.) Belonging - Angel's eyes bug out of his head when he sees Cordelia in the bikini. Angel wants to rip the director's head off for being rude to Cordelia. Angel moves his hands in a suggestive manner on his axe, while describing the bikini to Wesley and Gunn.

42.) Over the Rainbow - Angel freaks out when they determine that Cordelia was sucked into the portal. Wesley suggests they come up with a plan, and Angel says "Screw Logic," and that he just wants to jump through a portal and rescue Cordelia. Angel tells Wesley he can't lose Cordelia now, "I just got her back." Angel keeps counting the hours that Cordelia has been gone.

44.) There's No Place Like Plrtz Glrb - One of Silas' men calls Cordelia "That filthy cow bitch." Angel responds, "You call her that again, and I'll rip your face off." Angel is disappointed when Cordelia says she loves Groo. Even though Cordelia said she loved Groo, she still left with Angel.

45.) Heartthrob - Cordelia gives Angel a big hug when he returns home. Cordelia gets Angel to open up about Buffy's death. Angel puts himself in between Cordelia and James. Even though they hadn't figured it out themselves yet, James could see that Angel and Cordelia were in love.

46.) That Vision Thing - Angel refuses to leave until Cordelia opens the bathroom door and proves she's alright. Angel gets Fred to take Cordelia home and stay with her. Cordelia tells Angel that if she didn't have the visions he wouldn't need her anymore, and he assures her that isn't true. Wesley has to almost literally drag Angel away from Cordelia's bedside. Angel chokes Lilah when she won't mention Cordelia by name. Angel goes to a hell dimension to rescue Billy in order to save Cordelia. Angel kills the psychic hitman that has been sending Cordelia the false visions. Angel threatens to kill Lilah if she uses Cordelia to get to him again. Over waffles, Angel tells Cordelia that she's more important to him than beating Wolfram and Hart.

47.) That Old Gang of Mine - Even though she doesn't want to (because Angel asked her), eventually Cordelia talks to Fred about getting out of the hotel for a little while.

48.) Carpe Noctum - Angel gets jealous when he sees Cordelia flirting with those other guys in the gym. Cordelia told Angel that he's handsome. Angel makes it clear he doesn't want Cordelia to think he's a eunuch. Even though he doesn't want to (because Cordelia asked him), Angel talked to Fred about her crush on him.

49.) Fredless - Angel gets a kid in a candy store look on his face when its time for Cordelia to bandage his wounds. Cordelia tells Angel that she can soothe his ass off.

50.) Billy - Angel trains Cordelia to fight. Angel prevents Cordelia from murdering Billy, because he didn't want it to ruin her life.

51.) Offspring - Cordelia and Angel continue to train together. After Cordelia leaves, Fred starts telling Angel about moira and kyrumption. Cordelia tells Angel that she loves him. Cordelia then tells the rest of the group that she loves Angel, and Angel loves her. Cordelia gets pissed after learning that Angel didn't tell her about sleeping with Darla. When Darla takes a bite out of Cordelia, Angel yanks her off.

52.) Quickening - Cordelia agrees to protect Angel's unborn baby.

54.) Dad - Cordelia is the first member of the group besides Angel to hold baby Connor.

55.) Birthday - Angel is upset that Cordelia didn't mention the CAT Scans to him. Angel tells the Conduits that he's more afraid of Cordelia dying than she is. Cordelia gives up her dream of becoming an actress and being 100% human for Angel. When she wakes up, Angel hugs Cordelia, and whispers in her ear, "I thought I'd lost you."

56.) Provider - Angel and Cordelia are lying on his bed half asleep, giving baby Connor his bottle, and planning his future. They made the perfect little family.

57.) Waiting in the Wings - Angel pretends not to hear Cordelia's comment about Dennis and the loofa. Lorne said that he read Angel during his lullaby to Connor, and knows he's in love with Cordelia. Angel ponders what he would have to offer Cordelia. When Cordelia walks in wearing her new dress, Angel's jaw hits the floor. Angel and Cordelia walk arm in arm down the stairs to meet the rest of the group. Angel doesn't mind Cordelia snoring or drooling on his jacket. Angel carefully slips in that he thinks Cordelia is the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. Cordelia refers to Angel as her champion. They make out in the Prima Ballerina's dressing room. When they come out, Angel takes off his coat to hide his arousal. Angel tells Cordelia that, that was them in the dressing room. They make out again. Cordelia tells Angel he looked really hot when killing the henchman. Angel gets tongue tied telling Cordelia what an extraordinary woman she's become. Angel is heartbroken when Cordelia rushes into the arms of the Groosalugg.

58.) Couplet - Angel sniffs Cordelia's perfume on his jacket before putting it away. Cordelia tells Angel that she needs to ask a favor, but is hesitant because he's done so much for her already that it would be just another thing added to the list. Angel tells Cordelia there is no list. Angel seems to really enjoy smacking Groo around. Angel gives Cordelia money and tells her to go take Groo some place sunny. Cordelia offers to stay and bandage him up first, but Angel declined.

61.) Forgiving - Fred offers to call Cordelia, but Angel doesn't want to ruin her vacation.

62.) Double or Nothing - Cordelia immediately rushes to Angel's side when she finds out about Connor. Cordelia stays by Angel's side until he's ready to open up. After agreeing to put his soul on the line in a card game, Angel trusts Cordelia with the stake. Cordelia stakes the casino owner's hand to the table. Cordelia sees Angel taking the crib down, and decides it is something he needed to do alone.

63.) The Price - Cordelia is upset that Angel didn't call her about Connor. Cordelia wanted to be there for him, and Angel says, "you are." Angel said he didn't call Cordelia, because he thought one of them should be happy. Cordelia said that Angel is her priority and his feelings are the only ones she cares about. Cordelia won't leave Angel to fight the sluglike creatures by himself.

65.) Benediction - Angel is really excited as he describes he and Connor fighting side by side to Cordelia. Cordelia said that she went back into her vision and watched. Cordelia called Angel and Connor together "beautiful." Cordelia encouraged Angel to be honest with Connor about going to see Holtz.

66.) Tomorrow - When Angel worries about whether or not he'll make a good father, Cordelia tells him that Connor will him because, "You're you." She later adds, "You have the biggest and best heart of anyone I've ever known." Lorne encourages Angel to tell Cordelia how he feels, because he knows Cordelia feels the same way. Groo begs Cordelia to look him in the eye and tell her that he is the one she loves and not Angel, but she can't do it. Cordelia finally realizes she is in love with Angel. Angel is so excited about their meeting at the beach that Fred starts poking at him with a stake to make sure he doesn't get "too excited."

67.) Deep Down - Angel fantasizes about a big dinner with the whole gang. He's sitting at the head of the table, with Cordelia right by his side. Angel later fantasizes about kissing Cordelia on the beach. Angel looked like he would have killed Connor had he admitted to doing something to Cordelia. Angel tells Fred and Gunn "We have to find Cordelia. I need her."

68.) Ground State - Though she's not known for her truthfulness, Angel visits the goddess Dinza for help in finding Cordelia. Angel passes up a chance with Gwen Raiden in order to keep searching for Cordelia. Gwen asked Angel if he really loved Cordelia that much and he said yes. Angel told Gunn and Fred that while he was at the bottom of the ocean, all he could think about was getting home to Cordelia.

69.) The House Always Wins - Cordelia yells down to Angel, and he looks up as if he heard her. Cordelia helps Angel win at the slot machine.

70.) Slouching Toward Bethlehem - Angel tells Gunn and Fred not to reveal all the details about their life, because he doesn't want to scare Cordelia. Angel tries to kiss Cordelia, but she started talking again.

72.) Spin the Bottle - Cordelia asked Angel if they were in love, he admitted he had feelings for her, but he didn't know how she felt about him. Angel told Cordelia that she was his dearest friend, and that's something he would like to have back. The high school Cordy is attracted to Liam right away. She even says "Hello, salty goodness," which is what she said the first time she saw Angel on BTVS. Liam tells Connor that he wanted to de-flower the Chase girl.

73.) Rain of Fire/Apocalypse Nowish - Angel is very upset after seeing Cordelia and Connor having sex.

76.) Awakening - In Angel's perfect day, he forgives Cordelia for her affair with Connor. Back in the hotel room, Cordelia asked Angel if he was sure, and he said, "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else." Angel then finishes the day off by making love to Cordelia.

78.) Calvary - We have a fake Cordelia/Angel moment in this one. I thought we were having another classic C/A moment when Angel wondered how the gang could trust him again, and Cordelia opened the cage and convinced him to come out. Unfortunately, it turned out not to be Angel and Cordelia, but Angelus and Jasmine involved in the scene.

83.) Inside Out - Angel refuses to believe that Cordelia has turned evil. Angel nearly tells the group that he loves Cordelia. Angel apologizes to Cordelia before nearly chopping her head off.

85.) The Magic Bullet - Angel gets excited when Cordelia, who was in a coma, reached up and grabbed his arm. Angel kissed Cordelia on the forehead.

88.) Home - Angel saves Cordelia from being blown to bits by the bomb Connor strapped to her. As part of his deal with Wolfram and Hart, Angel made sure Cordelia would get the best of medical care, and that they would use their resources to find a way to wake her up.

89.) Conviction - Angel nearly starts to cry when he tells Harmony that Cordelia is in a coma.

100.) You're Welcome - Angel hugs Cordelia in the hospital and doesn't want to let her go. Angel and Cordelia watch the Doyle video from Season One. Cordelia nearly tells Angel she's in love with him. Angel pulls Spike off of Cordelia and threatens to kills him he puts one more fang on her. Angel and Cordelia stop Lindsey's plan. Cordelia convinced Angel to fight on. Angel mentions that he still thinks about what would have happened had they met that night at the beach. Cordelia is about to leave, but then she says, "Ah, what the hell. One more for the road." She then runs over to Angel and gives him the best kiss in the show's history. Cordelia convinces Angel to answer the phone even though he doesn't want to. Before leaving Cordelia says, "You're Welcome." After finding out that Cordelia died, Angel tearfully looked up in the sky and said, "thank you."

103.) A Hole in the World - Angel tells Spike, "I lost Cordelia."

104.) Shells - Angel tells Spike that he lost Cordelia because he let one of those demons get inside her and violate her.

109.) Power Play - Angel reveals to the guys that Cordelia's kiss gave him the power of a one time only vision that let him see who the real evil powers were.

110.) Not Fade Away - Hamilton taunts Angel by saying that he let Doyle, Cordelia, and Fred down.

Lot of hard work there. I just happened to notice you say in 89 that Angel almost cries telling Eve about Cordy but he was telling Harmony. Eve already knew about Cordy.

No, I'm pretty sure it was Eve. She asked him about Connor, and then Cordelia.

I only remember there being one mention of Cordelia in the first episode and it was to Harmony. Harmony was trying to convince Angel to keep her on as his secretary and she brought up Cordy. That's when he told her Cordy was sick and in a coma and teared up.

I do believe Eve may have brought up Connor (and maybe Cordy) and Angel telling her she was not to mention his son ever again or something, but the time he almost cried was with Harmony.

It could be. I was going stickly on memory. I've only seen the episode one time, and that was when it first aired, nearly whole year ago. (Gosh, has it been that long already?)

I just wanted to throw in a little side note. For episode #73 Rain of Fire/Apocalypse Nowish, the reason I didn't not mention the multiple times Cordelia told Angel she loved him in that episode was because Jasmine had taken over her by then.

This is so cool. It made me remember one of the reasons why I stuck by Angel because sometimes I get a bit disheartened coz its all angst and death and little happiness.
Thankyou for taking time to do this.. its cool

one of my favorite scenes in the whole series

cordy: people change, you did
angel: and sometimes they change back...if that ever happens..
cordy: oh i'll kill you in a minute.....what are friends for.

then the look on angel's face as she turns and walks away
(priceless)

I remember when I first posted this list on the WB Angel board (this is before I found out stranger-things.net and charisma-carpenter.com existed), there were actual people that still tried to tell me that Angel and Cordelia weren't in love. I'm like look at all the evidence I've gathered. Hello, have you not been watching the same show I have for the last few years? That's why like coming here, you guys are my kind of people.

brownbros3- I remember you getting a bit of a roasting on the WB forum. Is there anyway to look at those old threads again....or is the Angel forum now completely defunct!

There were a lot of antis on the WB forum tho'. Did that all change after the YW airing slightly?

i was a poster over there at the time, it did change for a while, i was really surprised at the amount of good review posts that episode, and charisma's part got.

i saw many anti-cordy and semi anti-cordy posters, comment about how they realised how much she was missed, and how much the character contributed to the show. but that only lasted a couple of weeks, then they went back to their old bashing ways.

there is no sign of the WB board anymore, it's closed down.
i don't know where all the people went, i really don't care much.
it was getting to the point where if angel had not ended, i just would have quit going there anyway. it was getting to be too much about buffy, and COA is starting to get that way too.
you cant' mention CC's name there without someone yelling NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

It did quit going over there shortly after "The Girl in Question" aired, because I got sick of all the whining.

The reviews for "You're Welcome" were overwhelmingly positive (I'd say 99% favorable) over there. "The Girl in Question" was split. There were some that loved that episode, and others that hated it.

What a beautiful idea. I really wished I had the time to do it and you get the props for actually making it happen, now it is easier for me to pick an episode when I want to pinpoint something to my online friends.
I joined the WB board in February so it quickly became overwhelming and I did not stay, what killed me was to find this board so late.
Thank you for your hard work.
