I don't know if it's her people or Red Sparrow people, but this movie and CC are getting a lot of play. My CC Google Alerts have been blowing up. Different horror movie sites, etc., are reporting this news all over the place. Very awesome! And, all the sites have nothing but good things to say about our CC

My first thoughts as well.

It seems so often that Buffy gets the mention and AtS is left off of resumes, so color me surprised to see it there.

At first glance, I thought she was doing a movie about the porn industry. But I am glad she is doing TWO movies this year!

Hopefully this will lead to much better roles, like a lesbian serial killer getting to Julie Benz in "Dexter".

Who which will film first: "House of Bones" or "Vivid"?

It's not clear - but it's the middle of winter here in the U.K, with limited light. So "Vivid" is unlikely to start much before April.

Perfect timing, since that's when the con circuit kicks up a gear!

Assuming the economy hasn't killed more conventions. It already killed Wizard World LA and Texas.

It's having an effect in that they aren't taking as many risks with new shows, but it's not too bad yet. And signing events like LFACC/Collectormania will continue, which is handy since those are the ones CC tends to do.

I think Texas was the only one flat out canceled. LA is supposed to be rescheduled.

Ignore all of the above!

Charisma Carpenter in town to film "Vivid"
Star of "Buffy" and "Angel", the super sexy Charisma Carpenter flew in from LAX today to spend three weeks in London and Somerset filming "Vivid". "

This is pretty exciting news - horror movies tend to draw a fair-sized crowd no matter what. Current example: The Unborn, whose trailers actually made me laugh out loud (honestly, who thought it was a good idea to make the scaaaarrrrry Devil Baby look exactly like Eddie Munster?), was the only Saturday-night sellout at one of the bigger monkeyplexes in my area last weekend.

Plus that's two movies for CC this year, and it's only January. Sweet!

Well, if she's filming now she may not do one since there aren't really any signing events until March. I'll keep my eyes open though!

As for the weather, and remember how cold you were last time... I'd pack the same clothes as last time if you did come! We've got about a week (two at a push) of real summer the last few years and plenty of rain. LOL

Great news for CC. Can't wait to see this.

I really don't get though when people worry about her not working, in fairness hasn't she worked a lot more steadily since Buffy & AtS compared to some of her co-stars.

Wouldn't it be a kick if the country manor she moves into turned out to be ASH's country manor in Bath, Somerset

From the Red Sparrow site (under projects)

Quote:
Synopsis

In the early 1990s, a small group of anti-road Protestors are stalked around their woodland camp and each slaughtered by a cold-blooded psychopath. One of the protestors escapes and the mad killer is shot – his lifeless body discovered the following day by scores of Policemen.

15 years later, when best selling novelist Susan, having recovered from a mental breakdown, relocates from New York to a secluded manor house in the English countryside with her newlywed husband David, her dream of tranquility unfolds into a nightmare.

Having successfully fled the rigors of city life – which had been the source of her collapse – but then unable to grasp the way of the country-locals, Susan is stalked by a creepy gamekeeper and is mystified by sightings of a mysterious young man around the grounds of her estate.

As the pressure builds for Susan to complete her long awaited new book, so her torment progresses and she is plagued by terrifying, successive visions of a massacre in the manor house. With David commuting to work in London, Susan’s isolation intensifies as reality and delusion transcend into one. Rapidly sliding to the verge of madness as the haunting increases and her persecution at the hands of the locals continues, David – Susan’s crutch – is revealed as not all he has made out to be.

In a last-ditch effort to convince David that the visions are not a revived symptom of Susan’s previous mental illness, a Medium tries to stop the haunting but Susan’s screams fall silent and she becomes as much a culprit to the ghostly ‘murders’ as the psychopath of her visions…
