Aww. That is sad. Everyone deserves to die with a little dignity.

Yeah, no matter the good (and not-so-good) things he'd done as an actor, he'll forever have this following him. Alas...

JMO, but that sounds like a very suspicious death. Rope around other parts of his body? He was there filming a movie so he just decides to kill himself in the middle of it? Granted we don't know what could have triggered it, but I wouldn't rule out murder. Especially, if he was still into recreational drugs, maybe he ran into the wrong people. In any case, though, I'm very sorry for his family. Losing him would be tough enough without the circumstances adding to the grief.

I thought so too. CNN this afternoon says the family is demanding the body be sent back to the States for the autopsy and they are very much questioning the theory of suicide.

Not saying this is true but someone at work today told me it might have been autoerotic asphysiation.
Good lord, I messed that spelling up, didn't I? |

I think I need to turn in my perv card, then, because it *so* wasn't my first, or second, thought.
My first thought (in finding out he was found hanging in his closet) was that he killed himself. My second thought, when my friend sat down and told me it wasn't suicide, was that he had been murdered (occupational hazard). Then she said "no" with such a breathless voice and wide eyes that I went "wait, no. Really? That's really horrible." |

Several years ago, two men in my VERY small community, one in his 50s and one who was 18, both died that way. The 18-year-old was in his back yard. Since then, every time I hear a man has died by hanging himself, that's almost always my first thought.

The first thought I had was autoerotic asphyxiation too. All I could think about was the way the lead singer of INXS died. It's more common than I think people realize, in terms of being a fetish.
It is still very tragic and what a horrible way to go.

Are they still talking about it being foul play? Because I'm betting--and not to besmirch his memory anything--but that if it was autoerotic asphyxiation, that someone else was also involved. Like a hooker or something...and that person scampered when things went south. How else did his hands get tied--if they were tied. I'm hearing all kinds of rumors and I'm not sure which are facts at this point. It's just sad to see a legend go at all, especially in such a scandalous way.
Pointless. Utterly pointless.
