Sweeney Todd (Film Version)
I know there are some Johnny Depp fans on this board (well, even if it is only Carole she makes up for it in enthusiasm where numbers lack), so if you want to see the trailer for Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street go here.
This is one of my fave musicals, so I am quite excited. It actually looks good, even though I had my reservations initially. As long as they leave all of my favourite songs in it I shall be pleased. Yet, once again, the marketing people seem to not want to stress the fact it is a musical. Never mind that his musical is very song-driven, having such little dialogue. I expect certain songs to get dropped and dialogue to be added though, of course. Anyway, I know what I am doing on Christmas Day! |

I've never seen the musical but from the trailer it looks freaking awesome. I will have to see this movie.
I'm a Johnny fan too so thanks for posting the link.

I've never seen the musical either, but this film is definitely one of the few "must-see" movies for me this fall/winter. I'm always a fan of Tim Burton movies, and add in Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter and I'm in for sure.

This is one movie I am making sure to see in the theater. I wasn't a huge fan of the musical, but Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and my favorite actor--Alan Rickman. What's not to love?

I love Johnny Depp and I've never seen a musical. So, I so no reason why I shouldn't check it out. Plus, it looks very interesting.

Even though it might've been a joke, you just summed up the exact reason I refuse to see a Tim Burton movie. I'm tired of constantly seeing Johnny Depp and Tim Burton team up.

The cat wasn't afraid to die. Then one day, the cat became a stray cat, which meant he was free. He met a white female cat. And the two of them spent their days together happily. Well, years passed and the white cat grew weak and died of old age. The tiger-striped cat cried a million times and then he died, too. Except this time, he didn't come back to life." -Spike |

Isn't a lot of the HP cast in that movie? I heard from my friend, Misty, who seen it. That the actress who plays Bellatrix Lestange is also in there. She named another person, I just forgot who.

Helena Bonham-Carter as previously mentioned is in the movie (She played Bellatrix - and is also married to Tim Burton).
Alan Rickman (Snape) plays Judge Turpin and Timothy Spall (Peter Pettigrew) plays his evil sidekick. I saw it last night, it's a brilliant movie! |
