It doesn't ring a bell but I'll be sure to check it out.

But if they can handle it like Coscerelli and Campbell handled Bubba Ho Tep then the movie could be quite the underground hit.
I heard Bubba Ho Tep was entertaining, I'll have to rent that one of these days too.

Thanks for all the articles Bibliophile!

Yaahhh!!!! CC in a major movie role!!! Not one of those fleeting appearances like "The Groomsmen" and Josh Kirby. Let's pray it's not a direct to video thing!!!

Interesting to note that this movie company, IDT Entertainment, is showing films at both Cannes and the Melbourne International Film Festival this year. They don't give those slots away. Wow!

The Masters of Horror and Stan Lee Presents anthologies sound especially promising (among the features not starring Charisma Carpenter).

Great news for CC!! Her role reminds me either of one of Kay Hooper's books (with the psychic FBI unit) where the lead character is a sketch artist, or of Linda Howard's Now You See Her, in which the lead is a psychic artist. If you can remember what book you're thinking of, please let me know because it sounds like one I'd enjoy. Can't wait to see CC again, and finally on the big screen!! And I thoroughly enjoyed Bubba Ho Tep, but who wouldn't love fat Elvis in a nursing home?

It occurs to me that Dawny might get an extra-special kick out of knowing CC's doing a movie associated with the folks who brought you Bruce Campbell in fat Elviswear.

Aside, con't: This news may also explain why Rob Thomas couldn't say when CC would appear on Veronica Mars, only that he intended to write her in. Yippie-ki-ay.

Nah, there's no hysterical screaming. And aside from the fact that I don't have anyone to hold my hand (sniff, tear), it's not my palm that needs covering, its my ears and my eyes, so as to prevent the sensory images from planting themselves into my subconscious and triggering nightmares. I'm seriously suggestible that way.

The only way I can watch any sort of movie like this is in pieces, at home - I'll watch, and then change the channel and/or mute during scary parts, flipping back and forth until the scary part is over and I can see how it all ended. It sometimes takes multiple viewings for me to actually watch the whole thing, desensitizing myself to know when the scary scenes will start (so I'm not caught off guard), and also to know what the outcome is, and very few movies are worth it. (It took about 3 or 4 to see "The Sixth Sense", and really, after all was said and done, it wasn't worth the effort.) I used to have to watch some of the creepier X-Files episodes that way too.

Really, when all is said and done, I'm just not one of those people that actually likes to get scared - I know some people do, but not me.

IDT Ent. Sales (IDTeS) will attend Marché du Film in Cannes with a slate of new animated and live-action theatrical features. Among the new properties to be offered are the highly anticipated horror anthology MASTERS OF HORROR, featuring the most prominent horror directors, the thriller ROOM SI” starring Jerry O’Connell and Christine Taylor, and two-time Oscar-nominee Bill Plympton’s animated HAIR HIGH, which was just selected to screen at the prestigious Melbourne International Film Festival for 2005. In addition, IDTeS will introduce the supernatural feature VOODOO MOON, starring Charisma Carpenter (BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER), and from acclaimed producer Steven J. Cannell, RIVER TO HAVILAH and TOOTH FAIRY.
this makes me think that the film is already done, or close enough to show some clips, and one of the other articles stated something about that they already started filming.

i went to the idt website, but the printing is sooo small, i couldn't read it, cool site though

It's good for Charisma to get back into the swing of things. Horror movies are big business these days.

I think when you have never been the lead in a movie, and you get the chance to be, it's a good thing. Hopefully it will turn out to be a good one.

It's also a big milestone for her as her first starring role in a theatrical release. Once an actor has done one, the odds favor him or her being asked to do another.

ETA: I'd like to change my answer to "What Jerry said," Regis.
