Cool. Though damn, why couldn't she be tied to Mcdermott or Vartan's characters?

Meanwhile, Christopher Titus is scheduled to appear on "The View" this Wednesday (Sept. 26). Wonder if he'll spill any beans about his character's arc?...

I also wonder if CC is being added as part of a sooper sekrit series overhaul. Currently this series is third on AOL Television's Worst New Fall Shows, and Matt Roush at TV Guide has said that if it doesn't "get better fast" it seems destined to vacate its time slot early. ABC has a lot invested in this show; I would be shocked but not surprised if they've reshot the pilot in response to the dire reviews.

I'm guessing someone scooped the network (or TV Guide) and walked it back. (I suppose it's possible Matt Webb Mitovich is cruising relatively obscure Web sites looking for items he can repost without fact-checking, but it seems unlikely.)

ETA: Meanwhile, this from Ausiello. (I would've added it to the previous comment, but my browser keeps freezing up on editing. Sorry.)

Question: Big Shots or ER — which one will be worth watching this season on Thursday night at 10? I really want to watch ER, but a show with Dylan McDermott, Christopher Titus and Michael Vartan looks waaaaay too good to pass up. — Matty C.

Ausiello: Either you're a virgin Aushole or I was being far too subtle when I described Big Shots as a "charmless piece of fecal matter" in my Press Tour Diary. Either way, let me state loud and clear and for the record: The pilot is, quite simply, abysmal. That being said, if anyone can polish poop it's the masterful Rob Thomas. The addition of Charisma Carpenter to the cast also bodes well. In other words, don't be surprised if I'm singing a different tune by November sweeps.

Wow, welcome me to the 'about time you figured it out' club. I imagine RT is likely a big reason why CC got the role?

I also assume the probable writer's strike wouldn't affect November all that much. 'Cause that'd really suck.

I'm just really happy that she's not gonna be on "The Apprentice" and that she's gonna be on TWO different shows. I'm actually more excited for the Kelsey Grammar than "Big Shots".

Anyway, here's another review of "Big Shots". I just hope that the show's still on the air when CC makes her appearance.

Interestingly enough, Fox is developing a show call "Queen B":

Quote:
The project, which Ryan Murphy co-created with "Nip/Tuck" executive producers Richard Levine and Lyn Greene, centers on a brilliant but ruthless woman who takes over a worldwide conglomerate as a CEO and corrupts a young girl with power.

There is no talent on board yet, but even in such early stages, the project is attracting the attention of a number of top actresses older than 40.
I think this is could be good for CC...although the show is probably looking for more famous actresses like Heather Locklear.

Well, it seems to be undergoing a pretty high-profile retooling at the moment - as if ABC has heard the reviews and is trying to make the show work. My guess is that they'll give it at least until November sweeps are over until the axe falls, if indeed it does.

Meanwhile, you have to love the idea that CC is being brought in to help save a series that has so many bigger names attached to it already, or at least that it's the perception being spread by some key critics. If the show does sink, she's blameless; it sucked before she got there, and she's still raised her profile with primetime audiences and within the industry. And if it turns around successfully and becomes watchable or even riveting, she's poised to take a good chunk of credit for it. Totally a win-win.

i love that she gets such good press and the tv critic people seem to love her so why don't the tv people give her a show or put her on something big and give her a big part?
