But the crap about a crossover during the Jump of Buffy in the Gift (when the gang was coming back from Pylea through the portal) was a Wrongda thing, wasn't it? Because I remember reading that as one of her "hits".
Also, there were rumors that Angel's call explaining everything before going to Pylea was for her 4evaluuuuurve and not Gunn. I remember some Bangel comments still pissed off about that

I didn't hear this one. What was supposed to happen? Buffy would jump into the portal and end up in the car with the gang coming back from Pylea? Probably between Angel's legs giving him a BJ no doubt. On second thought, that would make pretty funny parody fic.

No, that was more believable

From what I read when Buffy was jumping, the gang was also jumping in the car through the portal, so they saw Buffy big sacrifice.....

Or maybe they hit Buffy with the car and that was her real cause of death...

LMAO!! Oh, the guilt that would have caused. Then S3 as well as S5 could've been all about Buffy. Wow, so sorry we missed that.

Actually, there might be one fanbase that surpasses them in terms of insanity.

On Roswell, the pair of Max and Liz had such a fanatical following, than when the character of Tess was introduced as a possible love interest, fans became so mad that their fictional pair may be in jeopardy that they actually stated a partition for the "actress" playing her (Emilie de Raven, TV's 'Lost') to be deported back to her native Australia.

Whedonverse fandom just wouldn't have been the same without that nutbar.
Now which of his/her 3/4 personas was that - the incoherent one who overly spaces between lines and pretends they have all this information about books before everybody else when in fact you can find it anywhere, the one who pretends to be illiterate by psting leik ths and (oh yes!) is paid by Nancy Holder to promote her books, or the one that met/worked with SMG and talks to everybody like they're the ones who are crazy?

Wow, I've been out of the loop alot longer than I thought.

Y'know, if it wasn't for the trauma, I'd swear this wasn't ST.

Well, years passed and the white cat grew weak and died of old age. The tiger-striped cat cried a million times and then he died, too. Except this time, he didn't come back to life."

Never apart of that fandom but didn't those "fans" also take issue with KH because she dated JB in real life? I seem to recall seeing that floating around FanForums during S3.

Well, it's kinda not -- at least not in this thread. But don't worry, I'll pull out the aluminum baseball bat soon enough.

Did it really matter? S/he/it built up enough street cred with the Batshiite Cabal that no matter how horrifically wrong s/he/it was, it never seemed to make a difference. To this DAY I'd like to see if any of them have discovered the genderception and, if so, the reaction.

But my personal faves of the various posting personalities were Original Flavor and Little Sis.

Even the Batshiite Cabal don't approach the Dreamers when it comes to 'shipping lunacy. I remember a certain forum once that went absolutely nutso because Jason Behr and Katherine Heigl went to a premiere together, and JB looked at KH in a way (in real life, mind, not on set) that should ONLY be used when Max looked at Liz. Seriously. Screw the deportation petitions, they wanted KH dead. In real life. And I'm certain there were some who weren't the slightest bit tongue-in-cheek about it.

Then again, I seem to recall some of the Batshiite Cabal wanting Marti Noxen to be hit by a bus, so perhaps there's not a whole lot of difference there.

I hate to generalize a fandom but come on, weren't the Dreamers primarily 13 yr olds? And immature ones for that age? I've never run across a group who took RPS too far like them. And so negative in a really childish way.

Which is probably why the fandom is slightly above Charmed in terms of credibility/visibility. Seriously, have you ever seen anybody walking around covered in Tabasco at conventions? Does Roswell even have conventions?

The sad thing is that Katims actually took this stuff seriously and pulled one of the biggest fanwanks also known as Season 3. Show was definitely one season too long.

The Roswell forum I'm referring to had its share of 13 year olds, sure, but so does every forum. Even this one. And the people who were the most vitriolic were NOT the 13 year olds anyway. One of them was and continues to be one of the more respectable spoiler sources out there. It was only in the password-only part of the forum you got to see the "good" stuff.

And just for the record, I'm one of the few who actually liked season 3. More Michael and Isabel, less Max/Lizbot.

I tried it, but couldn't get past the addition of Jesse, the human cardboad cut out. I wish they'd have tried the Kyle/Isabel stuff. He was great. Could steal a scene w/o a line.

I wish I'd known about some mature fangroups for Roswell, sure would've saved me from the cr*ppy boards I tried.

I thought it was totally unfair that Katims et al. toyed unmercifully with those of us who would have looked favorably on a Kyle/Isabel pairing that season. Of course, I was a Michael/Isabel 'shipper from way back, but I loved the chemistry that KH and NW had. Then again, I kind of thought KH had chemistry with anyone. It might have just seemed that way in comparison to the Lizbot's non-chemistry with everyone on the show except Maria.

Older, yes. Mature? Not so much. Remember, these are the same people who wanted to burn KH in effigy because JB looked at her a certain way at a premiere. I mostly kept my silence on this board because I actually liked KH, which made me outcast material for sure.
