Heartthrob was good in terms of that. Matching in every outfit they wore.

I was trying not to go too clothy/colorish, like how the W&H logo looked lilac in that last shot. People kept giving me weird looks over the purple garanimals.

But I love how even Strega's picking up on the subtext.

I think they hurt something writing how much they liked DB, the episode and CC.

It's finally up, and i was amazed that she didnt insult Charisma as much as i thought she would.

Charisma Carpenter breaks my dried-up walnut of a heart when she backs away and sniffs, "I'll be seeing you."

when she gets to the door, she mutters, "What the hell," and rushes back over to kiss Angel. Aw. I don't really get it, but they had one of the few relationships on either show that I actually bought. The phone rings, and Angel tries to ignore it, but Cordy insists, "That? You have to get." She sniffles as Angel goes to answer the phone, then says, "Oh. And you're welcome!" Her eyes in this whole scene just kill me. Christ.

I've never thought of Strega as someone who insults Charisma. I mean it's sort of her job to be critical of the show, and make jokes about stuff that isn't good, and maybe she's made fun of Cordelia before, but Charisma, I don't think so. For the most part I think she's a fan of Charisma. So I know I wasn't expecting any insults.

Actually, she's never insulted Charisma (although Boreanaz is another story). She tended to stick to the horror of Cordy's wardrobe and her ever-changing characterization. But she's never insulted Charisma (or really Cordelia).

She mused that Gunn probably fought the urge to punch her for getting him in all that trouble during First Impressions, though...LOL

There have been several instinces when Strega would comment on Cordy's clothing. But in the Buffyverse and their sense of style...can you blame her?

And also, during the first season in which i don't know if Strega was reveiwing or not, but she would make comments here and there saying that Cordy looked WAY older than 18/19 (which is actually true, since Charisma is practically a decade older than her character.) But she never said she was ugly, fat, old (she simply said she looked OLDER, heh) or anything degrating.

And one of the memorable comments she made was in Epiphany when Cordelia found the eye on the back of her head:

It sounds dumb to say that Charisma Carpenter conveys "yuck!" well, but she does. I just can't say enough nice things about her acting. Just as I can't say enough nasty things about her outfits. It balances out, right?

This is stupid, but you think we should put a sticky on this? It'd be cool to have it on the front page for a while, to discuss not only the reveiw of THIS episode, but perhaps all previous TWOP reveiws of Angel and comments on Cordy and C/A.

loved the review and totally agree
