OMG Thank you so much for the reminder, I totally didn't realize it was coming back this week.

Not just you.

I'm very excited for this to come back, although between Boardwalk Empire and Dexter, my Sunday nights are pretty full tv-wise. Thank goodness for On-Demand!

But I will need to stay out of the threads for the first couple of weeks, as I am leaving for the UK Saturday night and I won't be back for 8 days, so I'll miss seeing the first 2 eps live. Will definitely check in on what you all thought once I've caught up.

Going there for pleasure, I hope. If so, hoist a pint for me. Or a symbolic pint, at least.

Sort of - I have a work meeting but I'm extending my visit for 3 to 4 days because I've never been to London.

Consider the pint (or symbolic pint) hoisted.

Well, that was just all kinds of great. And gross. But mostly great.

I loved it. Daryl is just pure awesome and the ending made me jump, did not expect it at all.

Lori's still a pill; I'm hoping they'll kill her off but somehow i doubt it. The ratings for premiere were outstanding, 7.2 million viewers up about 2 million from both the season 1 premiere and the s1 finale. That's very impressive.

I really do not like Lori at all, even when they try to make me. Doubtless that means she'll be the last survivor. Andrea remains my post-apocalyptic girlfriend though.

You can have Andrea, I'm claiming Daryl.

Lori did one good thing in the premiere, she stood up for Rick, other than that she was her annoying, useless self. I especially hated the judgmental attitude about scavenging for much needed supplies. You're in the ZA lady, it's called survival, the dead don't need water, food, weapons, clothes...you do.

Yeah, if the one good thing you did was 7 episodes ago...

I didn't get the problem with scavenging either. Has she been going only to Target this whole time, leaving her credit card number to pay for what she took? She should have treated that pileup like Wal-Mart on Black Friday. Especially the water truck.

And with another week of stellar ratings, AMC has picked up The Walking Dead for Season 3

Excellent! [/montgomeryburns]

By the way, was anyone else not surprised he was a veterinarian?

Is anyone else wondering why missing girl's mom isn't a basket case?

I wasn't shocked that he was a vet, but I didn't predict it. It made sense though. I had to laugh at Lori managing to turn my sympathy into utter annoyance in a single scene.

I figure Carole has been abused for so long that she's just repressing. However, I think if anything happens to Sophia (turns up dead of Zombified) Carole is going to go batshit crazy.

As soon as the camera showed it was Shane cutting his hair, I knew what he had done. The way he did it though was a stone-cold, dead-inside act, and yet, had he not, Carl would be dead. Still, dude, do not mess with Shane.

You know I didn't figure it out until they were running and Otis said he had 4 rounds and Shane mentioned he had 5. I just knew that last round was going to be used on Otis if necessary. Yeah that was totally stone cold and I liked it. Shane is now tied with Daryl for my favorite character.

Glenn probably has more presence of mind than is humanly allowed. Also, luck.
