Good interview, but I hope she decides make more appearances on the show. ME have obviously come to their senses; why can't she?
Also, I think she's completely wrong about the Cordy/Connor storyline. It was daring, dark, and shocking, and resonated wonderfully with the whole subtext of abuse and incest that's been running through the show from the beginning. I thought that it was a brilliant twist that saw Cordelia, who was so sickened by what Bethany's father had done to her back in Untouched, end up doing what she did to Connor. |

Thanks again fielding for your refreshing and different viewpoint. You've given me the best chuckle yet of the day. But I'm not taking the bait. Do you actually believe any of your stuff, or do you just enjoy stirring us up?

I thought that was Jasmine who needed Connor to create a vessel...

I've said it before: Even David "don't you change a fucking word" Mamet - a REAL WRITER TO A GENERATION OF AMERICAN ACTORS - keeps good talent handy for future projects (WH Macy, Felicity Huffman, et.al) . He has much more respect for talent, apparently, than "I pink-slipped you in People" Joss-Be-Gone W. Angel S6 will be played by his troupe of specially trained Harbor Seals, if JW has his way. As for Charisma Carpenter, she just bought Crissy over at CC.com Sex in the City S3, so Chrissy can get up to speed on what to expect next from her next year. Charisma's new first-name basis producer? It isn't Joss. It's Darren. Wanna bet? That's why. Last edited by rolandro; 01-23-2004 at 11:57 AM. |

Awwww, poor Fielding. I'm sure you're pretty on the inside.
Aside from that, consider this a vote for Charisma.

I'll add my vote for Charisma - prettier and smarter, by far.
And classier, too. And, I have to add, I've never found sexual abuse, incestuous or otherwise, to be entertaining. However, if a storyline would truly deal with the horrificness of it and do the appropriate follow-through, I'm not opposed to the theme being explored. As seen on AtS, any abuse is there strictly for the shock value. Women quickly rebound as though nothing happened; Connor only suffered, because they wanted to show Angel's angst and provide a convincing reason for him to accept W&H's offer. (and, personally, I think they were deliberately trying to trash the character of Cordy)
