Too many images in post error

I did an answer to argel's post in the DB/CC chat thread in Angel.

And it told me I had too many images in my post even though there were NONE...

I deleted the ETA and the 'argel' line and it let me post.

Any idea what is wrong here?

Sarah, you're allowed two images per post, including smilies. If your quote from Argel plus your .sig had more than two, it would set off the alarm.

I may revise this setting upward a bit.

Ah-- Smilies are considered images? ... How did people do those long lines of smilies shooting guns back when C?C first happened?
I guess actually taht was a link to an image, wasn't it?

Can you just do

and have it NOT turn into the image? Cause I don't care about the image anyway.

Sarah, I revised it up. Hopefully it'll work now.

Actually, I think the lines of smilies must've been at F4F, because we've pretty much always had a limit -- it just used to be larger. [G]

Forums 4 Fans, a.k.a. Fan Forum. We've never allowed more than four images per post on this board, but F4F has those rows 'n' rows of smileys on it all the time.
