is JM doing the Spike Sneer??

Because we need to have Spike/Cordy fic in honor of this. With jealous Angel muttering in the background, of course.

Pretty much expect their dad is dead, so no JDM on the show and they've kind of gone all Xena on the show, with God/Angels/Devil and killing off all the old pagan gods.

Oh and you can't forget the Impala, she's a character in her own right

That's actually the first thing I thought of when I saw the photo.

If he is, it's just not the same without the blond hair and eyeliner. In fact, I didn't recognize him at first! Once I did, though, all I could hear was:

SPIKE: Cordelia. You look smashing. Did you lose weight? CORDELIA: Yes! Y'know, there's this great gym on-- (beat) Hey.

LOL They look adorable and it's so nice to see them together.

And sam, I think you just volunteered to write us a ficlet.

The most important character, IMO.

You should try watching it from the beginning. The show isn't perfect but, despite its flaws, it's given me hours of enjoyment. Not that everyone will like a show just because I do, of course. But if you check it out and find that you do like it, you'll have a whole lot of good stuff to look foreword to. Just stay away from the fandom, and you'll be fine.

Oh, and here's a couple of the many reasons SPN holds a special place in my heart.

Batman
Heroes In Action

The show can be very serious and angsty at times. But they don't take themselves too seriously either.

I love that episode, so damn funny; Sam/Jared's "I lost my shoe" line kills me, it's just so damn perfect.

I'm watching "Changing Channels" right now, so freaking awesome.

There are six seasons so far, and they are getting ready to start the seventh.

Man, I can't believe the show has been on for so long. I still remember sitting down to watch the pilot for the first time, turning off the lights, falling hard for Dean in his first scene, being impressed by how good a con artist "sweet and innocent" Sam was...

Ah, memories.

Oh, man, I am WAY too lazy to catch up on six seasons of a show I've never seen, especially when I've heard too many people complaining about the treatment of female characters on the show. I can barely be bothered to watch that much of a show I already like. (Case in point--I've already given up on True Blood.) I think I'm too fickle for long-running series on tv.

Honestly though, it really is a fantastic show - so fantastic that I feel the need to defend it. It very quickly became my favourite show on TV. Granted it won't get any awards for outstanding writing of women but it really isn't all that bad. You do get strong female charaters but the show is essentially about the 2 boys so they don't hang around all that long. Misha Collins (he's male) got promoted to series regular but that's just because the fans really took to him and he fit in well with the storylines at the time.

Ultimately though, the writing and the character development and even the monster-of-the-week/angels and demons lore is pretty awesome. DVD weekend, I say

As much hopping as my job's got me doing right now, it'd take a DVD decade for me to get through all that...lol

A quick little update and info about the episode:

We learned back in August that "Buffy/Angel" alumni Charisma Carpenter and James Marsters would be guest starring in an upcoming episode of "Supernatural" entitled "Shut Up, Dr. Phil", and now we have the full synopsis to share. Look for the ep on Friday, October 21st, at 9:00 PM on The CW!

Episode 7.05 "Shut Up, Dr. Phil" (10/21/11 Air Date; 9:00-10:00 PM):
Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) meet Maggie Stark (guest star Charisma Carpenter), a witch who has unleashed her wrath on a small town, resulting in numerous deaths. Sam and Dean track down her husband, Donald (guest star James Marsters), to see if he can help. Donald tells the brothers that Maggie is mad at him for having an affair and is taking it out on the townspeople.

Phil Sgriccia directed the episode written by Brad Buckner and Eugenie Ross-Leming.

Unrelated to this episode, but very cool nonetheless, below you'll find a new promo video recently released for this season of the show.

For more be sure to visit "Supernatural" on The CW.

I read another article on this ep that questioned whether or not CC would be killed by Sam/Dean. Sounds as if it's highly likely another female will bite the dust.
