I'm not sure. I keep thinking I'll have time and it just isn't happening. I'm participating in a garage sale on Saturday, so I suspect Saturday night will be recovery time. Maybe I can break them out then...

Are we talking Old Series TP or New Series TP. The only one I ever saw was the New Series (thanks to Nick), and I only have vague memories of it. I've read lots of NS fic, though, so that's the one I'm most familiar with. Which ones better.

Oh, um, yeah...I loved the AtS season finale. I could push aside any bitterness I might've felt about some things that happened, and for things that should've happened but didn't, and enjoy the episode for itself.

When a series is coming to a close, I would prefer an actual ending rather than a cliffhanger. It doesn't matter if its an ending I agree with, I would prefer they actually end the series rather than go with a non-ending. Whedon closing it out that way was his way of sticking it to the network, but in reality it was sticking it to the fans that had invested five years in the series.

Thanks for mentioning this one. It was a definite favorite of mine, and when I saw Generations I was actually disappointed in that movie in comparison to the TV finale that was free to see.

No no no. He didn't stick it to anybody. He just gave us what we needed. Like he always does.

I didn't know there was a new version. The one we're talking about is from the early to mid seventies. Maybe even the late sixties. It's almost painful to watch, yet oddly addictive at the same time.

I'm opening the TP thread in the TV section. It won't be a busy thread, I'm sure, but I don't want to take away from the topic of this thread.

AtS finale was a lot better then what I was expecting after the crap filled Season 5.

Though having said that I do tend to think of the 100th episode as the real ending

didn't he kinda stick it to the fans (wasn't majority of ats veiwers c/a shippers before s5?) that had invested time in the series (not mentioning the jasmine crap) when he put cordy in a coma, made angel realise it was slutty the slayer he really loved, then eventually kill off cordy? (maybe i am a little bitter) As far as how it ended it was a cliffhanger true, but i was ok with it since the show was already ruined and was actually one of the only decent episode (out of 2) in s5.

Well, they were trying to get a point across. I believe some of the crew members said that the finale symbolised how the 'Fight for good never ends', thus the gang standing behind the Hyperion, soaking wet in rain, waiting to fight again.

I'm a bit disappointed with the finale, though. I like it somewhat, but it was so inconclusive compared to the Buffy finale.

P.S: I do agree they butchered most of the original team. Wes and Cordy should have been the ones flanking Angel, like Xander and Willow stood by Buffy.

Your right it definaltely should have been Cordy and Wes by his side. Of course I guess most of us feel that way.

I think we have a right to feel that way. Buffy got to keep most of her original group with her in the finale. Heck, even Angel made an appearance. Yet in NFA, except for Gunn, none of Angel's real family were there to support him. That was mighty unfair.

WORD. Cried like a bitch and I was just a casual fan.

Angel's finale...I actually liked most of it. I liked the fade out ending. But I'm not a big fan of Shiny, Happy Endings anyway. I think my favorite part was that I didn't have to watch Gunn die. I would have been upset if I had. I also liked the fact that Anne was in it. That was a happy moment for me.

I could not give two shits about Wesley dying, and that's really sad to me, since he was always a favorite character for me. But around mid-season 4 I completely checked out of his character (save three episode Faith arc in s4! THANK YOU ME!).

And I really kinda sorta loved Connor by the end of it all.

Someone mentioned Roseanne a while back. Her last season was horrendous, but I really liked the finale of the show. It's different and it screws with the whole structure and the way you see the characters in retrospect, ie Jackie was gay all along, Darlene was actually with Mark, and Becky with David, and the most horrible, Dan died at Darlene's wedding. But I thought it was pretty brave to do that. Random, but interesting. I always cry when I watch it. Mainly because of Dan.

I rarely ever see a show out to the end, so this is news to me. How?

It turned out that what we had been watching for sometime was what roseanne had written because she thought that was how it should be (confused yet?) i.e. jackie was the one really gay all along but roseanne thought it should be thier mother (female impowerement i guess) becky was really married to David and and Darlene to Mark (Glenn Quinn) but in the story she had written she thought D/D and M/B should be together (personally i always thought SG and GQ had better chemistry and would be the better couple) i kinda liked the last show but yeah dan dying was sad
Anyway hope that helped a little

I really hate that they killed off Cordelia and Wesley, the characters who were with Angel from the beginning. So the Buffy ending was better ´cause Xander and Willow were still alive.

I think characters who were on the show from the beginning should also be in the finale.
