About what Hart Hanson said, I hate to point it out, but they said the same thing about Dr. Goodman when he left after the first year.

Ugh. I'd rather they have killed him off altogether than use him in a "Hannibal Lecter" kind of way. IMO the only thing dumber than turning an essentially good, crime-solving character into a monster in three months is having him continue to be a monster forever after.

First they turn Angela into a non-character, then they do this with Eric. I may be giving this show up for good.

Great point, Morrigan. I did briefly wonder WHY they had to wrap it up. I guess the answer is that the "villian" was Zach and they didn't want to drag Eric Millegan's contract into next season?

Don't be silly! She's not a non character.....she's Dear Abby and the voice of wisdom from the mountaintop all wrapped up in sexy little package. And actually-- that reminds me of one the lines on this show that made me laugh the hardest (and it was from Zach!)-- it was the first or second season and Angela was freaking out about her job and the creepy factor-- and Dr. Goodman was able to reassure her when no one else had-- and when the others wanted to know why, Zach made some comment about her needing to hear the words in a "deep African American voice".

I agree that part of her role has always been Dear Abby, but in the past it was always PART of her role. Now it seems like that's all she is or does. She doesn't exist in her own right, she only exists to serve as the advisor for the others--and that infrequently at best. If you added all the screentime she had in the last few eps, I'll bet it wasn't 15 minutes. And as someone who has always been at least as interested in the Squints as the lead characters (if not more), I find it difficult to get drawn into the show now that one of them is all but gone and another one is EVOL. Much as I love Hodgins, he can't carry the Squint squad on his own.

(By the way, I loved that episode, the one where Angela needed reassurance. I think what Goodman and maybe even Brennan told her was that while the others solved the crime and figured out the science, Angela gave the victim a face and made them human. I noticed by the time the plastic surgery ep rolled around, Brennan proclaimed herself as the one who made them human.)

In case I haven't mentioned it a few thousand times already, it's great to have you back again ophelia! And not just because of our shared genius.

(Okay, it's a lot because of our shared genius...lol)

I've got to believe that's either a foiler, or a fantasy scene, or something she may want sometime in the far distant future.

As much as Brennan is in love with her work, I can't see her giving that up to become a mother. I don't think she even likes kids.

On another note, there's a video interview about comparing Angel and Bones fans, and wonder of wonders, DB actually makes sense in this one, (as you all know, during the whedon years, he had a tendency to ramble on and sometimes didn't even follow a coherent thought.)

I seem to find DB more and more charming as he gets older for some reason. Though I did have to roll my eyes at his inability to call himself a "geek" about anything.

It always goes away in October due to Baseball. We actually got a lot more eps this year than normal before the break. Usually we only get 3 or 4.
