A little more news on that front.
http://www.eonline.com/gossip/kristi...1-798de6671716 There are some kind of spoiler things in there, maybe. ** If they do the Veronica Mars meets X-Files thing, I will have lost ALL hope for this show **

If VM goes on (and I like the VM as FBI agent angle, personally), it'll do so without Parker.

I like the FBI angle too; in fact, at this point, ANYTHING would be an improvement!
I think the show has really lost direction; and I'll probably bail on the remainder of the season. If it comes back with the new format, I'll probably give it a try. But I expect it to be cancelled.

I know it's late and all, but I just watched it, so... Damn, that's just not right. Logan had to beat the crap out of an ATF agent to get some Veronica Mars lip action.
FWIW, Wrongda claims the CW was pleased with the proposed changes to VM's format, so she thinks its chances of renewal have improved. FWIW.

It's not on the schedule, but it's not dead yet.
According to Rob Thomas, they have till June 15th to finally decide. And Thomas DID turn down a job as showrunner on another network. here

I'm amazed it lasted this long!
But it really isn't any good any more; I've given up on it. So I won't miss it. Maybe it would have worked better as a mini-series? |

The lowest rated series ever renewed for one season, let alone two.
So it's over, and with a nod to the first season in what became the series finale. My tribute? No matter what else happened, VM's first season was truly a great season of television. Maybe it was inevitable that wouldn't last, but there you go.

I think that could be said of a lot of shows, but as someone who recently watched season 1 after seeing bits of season 3 I am bit surprised that the show was still be produced by the same people. The difference was that great.
And I really don't get the point of fighting to renew a show no matter what the format; surely if you got rid of most of the cast, got the whole think revamped you'd be better at selling it as a new show?
