Charisma in 'The Human Factor'

Charisma Carpenter and Sean Patrick Flanery in The Human Factor

Quote:
The lovely Charisma Carpenter, currently in need of saving in Sylvester Stallone’s “The Expendables”, and “Boondock Saints” vigilante badass Sean Patrick Flanery (sans Norman Reedus) have join the cast of “The Human Factor”, a thriller that will also mark tough guy Michael Madsen’s directorial debut.

In “The Human Factor”, Carpenter will play Lori Stoltz, a character described as a “determined and strong-willed newspaper reporter”, while Flanery will play Eric O’Neill, a renegade police detectives (are there any other kind) determined to get to the truth. The film’s plot has the duo joining forces to uncover the disappearance of homeless people in New York City.

Joining Carpenter and Flanery on the film will be Carpenter’s fellow “Expendables” co-stars Eric Roberts and Gary Daniels, along with Danny Trejo, Luke Goss, Doug Jones, Tom Sizemore, Shalim Ortiz, and Michael Madsen.

Production on “The Human Factor” is scheduled for sometime next year.

The Julie Benz connection is with "Boondocks Saints II".

Awesome! I loved "Boondock Saints" haven't seen the sequel yet but it's in my netflix live queue so maybe I'll watch it tomorrow.

Excellent news and the Michael Madsen connection could put her on Tarentino's radar plus Danny Trejo might get Robert Rodriguez's attention. Didn't RR right a part specifically for CC in one of his earlier movies?

Thanks for bringing this over

Hopefully it'll get released in the theater and not straight to DVD

Thumbs up

Here's another reference to the project:

Charisma Carpenter (from the current hit The Expendables") and Sean Patrick Flanery (Boondock Saints) have joined the cast of The Human Factor.

He wrote the role that Jordana Brewster eventually played in The Faculty.

I liked Delilah and that was a pretty big role, it's a shame CC turned it down. Although I don't know if I would have bought Casey/Delilah at the end if it was Elijah and Charisma...I had a hard enough time picturing it with Jordana Brewster.

I just looked up Sean Patrick Flanery since I wasn't familiar with who he is and had to LOL when I saw he played opposite SMG in Simply Irresistable. Hopefully this film won't be the flop that was (although I strangely liked it).

Ah, then you missed him as Indy from ages 16 to 20 in The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. You should catch that.

Ha! I read the title as "Human Target" and nearly had a cow. Talk about wish fulfillment.... Though I'm happy for this, too!

I hate to throw a wrench in the works, but, on the beyond hollywood article one comment quoted SPF saying that he had never heard of the film. Going over to the annoucements forum at seanflanery.com/blog, the thread titled
dispelling false info seems to confirm that.

At the very least, they could have jumped the gun in regard to some of the casting, I'm sorry to say.

Hopefully, it's only the SPF part that is wrong and not the CC part. I don't really care who's playing opposite her as long as she's still got the role.
