Kinda, yeah, except this was the entire series. When Pam found Bobby in the shower, it was a risky move that kinda sorta paid off -- at least in grudging respect for the brass-balled conceit behind it. When Brand & Falsey told you everything that happened didn't really happen, it was a big fat "We're more clever than you-uuu!" finger in the face of the audience. The only thing I can think of that comes close was when Whedon and the horses he rode in on canceled out AtS' entire history at the end of Season 4.
