Jordan Levin has "Resigned"
Jordan Levin has left the WB. Seems he left to save face, as he was demoted.
Shan't be shedding any tears personally. http://www.tvguide.com/news/entertainment/040614.asp#B I'm guessing the Ats issue and subesquent publicity didn't exactly help. Last edited by motivational speaker; 06-14-2004 at 06:44 PM. |

From what I've read he resigned because he was demoted. So no, Ats def. wasn't why he resigned. He resigned 'cos he was demoted.
The Ats issue got a lot of bad press for the WB in the media. I never implied it was THE reason he was relieved of his duties. I'm quite sure if everything else was rosy in the WB garden, it wouldn't have made any difference. But as everything clearly wasn't rosy in the WB garden, the Angel issue didn't help matters. |

Oh no, it stands to reason: We killed AtS. Ergo, We got Levin fired. You know, a butterfly flaps in wings in South America. . .

I'd say if anything about Ats helped get him demoted it was probably renewing it for a fifth year and not that he finally did the smart thing and canceled it.

Heh. :rolleyesL
Yes, after a dismal ratings season for all shows, failed pilots once again (Tarzan, Fearless), SV plummetting, Charmed in trouble, Gilmore in trouble until the end, and very slow growth for OTH (probably the only positive), I'm sure that it was Angel's renewal that got him demoted. |

Hmmm. That sounds like you think what I said was stupid. I obviously don't think it was Ats that got him demoted. I said if anything about Ats... It was the poor numbers for S5 that would have, if anything, contributed to his demotion, not the cancelation of a seriously failing show. |

All I can tell is that the last advocate for any kind of Whedonverse continuator, whether film or spinoff, has just left the building. Oh well.

I truly believe AtS had nothing to do with his demotion. not after the strong early numbers, the strong ending numbers...only the middle faltered really. So Levin can say I made a good decision bringing it back, and then ending it. |
