Charmed Spin Off Has Been Written (by Holly Marie Combs)!

LOS ANGELES — It seems after nearly three years in the dark, and two years on the drawing board, and one year of constant rumor all over Charmed message boards, a spin off for the nearly failed show has been written.

On May 2, 2008, television networks, ABC and FOX were given the written pilot which was written by Charmed alumni, Holly Marie Combs, who played Piper Halliwell.

The CW, television network has rejected the spin-off twice, and will no longer consider the possiblity of the show.

"We already have a show similiar to what Mrs. Combs has written, and it's called Supernatural." Stated Dawn Ostroff, CW President.

Supernatural debuted in 2005, on the CW Network, and currently one of their more popular shows.

No details have been released on Combs' pilot of the new Charmed Spinoff, but it seems ABC and FOX have both read the scripts and are in talks with her and her team.

It is possible that the show will air this fall around Halloween.

Just thinking that Charisma was said to be a friend of HMC after filming SJD and her eps on Charmed. Could she have written a part for CC? Yes Kira the Seer was 'killed' in Charmed, but this is sci-fi/fantasy here. Tons of actors play different parts sometimes.

It all depends how "spin-offy" this spin off is! If its a direct spin-off with HMC reprising her role, I would expect Alyssa Milano (her co-producer on "Charmed") to also co-star. Rose McGowan and Kaley Cuoco are otherwise engaged.

Yeah, I'm with the "all depends", as well. Having CC come aboard would be awesome if this spin off had any chance of being successful. I wouldn't want to see CC on a show that has no potential.

I really hope we do see her in the Fall.

While I guess it depends upon the quality of the script - the summary looks a bit cheesy!

I don't think they would spend that amount of money on just a fanboy's fever-dream.

No mention of stars yet, probably not until they're signed up.

By the way, if the name of the executive producer-Jason Carter- sounds familiar,

Are you referring to the blurred image of the woman with the gun? Because as far as I can tell it could be anyone. Hell, given the shape of the gun she's holding it could be an image of Princess Leia.

I don't think you can say for certain it's her or that she is in anyway attached to the film. If it is CC it's probably a photo shopped image from one of her promo shoots.

It does look like this is something someone does want to do, but man, a link on a website where you can sign up to invest in the movie?

There's a far better chance CC will end up in something else before this, IMO.

My friend was working on an Indie Horror flick last year and they did a solicitations website. They posted that thing everyplace so that they could get funding. I thought it was strange at the time but apparently, it is becoming more and more commonplace at least in the horror/sci-fi genre when putting together an independant movie.

The movie shut down production because of lack of funding so maybe not the best way to get people to invest. LOL

Sorry, Tojo, but that didn't look like CC in the flash trailer at all to me. Plus CC isn't listed as one of the "actresses" in the cast bios so why would she be pictured in the trailer if she wasn't already in the cast? Unless it is a photoshop manip of her. If it is, I hope she sues.

OT, but I didn't know where to post it, sorry.
I was watching the Canadian series "Durham County" and in the 5th episode there is a photo of CC. The only problem it was on a display window of a brothel and the image was caste. :/
