Grimm has actually been getting some good buzz in certain places. I have hope. I also have hope that Greenwalt will need a beautiful 40-ish actress to play a recurring witchy-type villain...

You and me both! Although, I'd like to see Greenie hire CC for one of her "other" colours. Perhaps there's a smart but snarky city librarian/archivist that needs to be consulted on cases on a recurring basis - after all, most fairy tales need to be based on lore and legend, right? I want to see CC as a beautiful, but also SMART recurring character!

As long as CC gets a role, I'm not fussed about what it is. Beautiful smart librarian is cool too.
ETA: NBC has put Grimm on Friday with Chuck as its lead-in.

I was just coming here to post that. It's a tough timeslot, as it has two shows in direct competition: Fringe and Supernatural. Supernatural in particular seems like it will be tough, if only because it covers the same ground (family of hunters). I never got into Fringe, but I'm still a loyal viewer for Supernatural.

There's a short promo and pictures/interviews/stuff like that on NBC's show page. I'm liking the cast already at least. ETA: Dude, Anthony Stewart Head. Why wasn't I informed? (PS, looks dreadful. But Giles!)

Oh man! I am going to have to make the choice between Grimm and Supernatural. That is too difficult. And I still live in the dark ages with my VCR.
At least Supernatural torrents download fast. I have to show my love to Greenie!

I'm late to the party. I was just reading abotu Grimm being Greenwalt's project, and that made me excited. I'll be keepign my eyes out for this one for sure!
As for CC playing a sexy librarian. I'm all for that. And as a librarian myself, I give full endorsement to this idea.

This is more a "mini pilot" for the series rather than a trailer, but Red Riding Hood? Solved.
Looks like it'll be fun.

I don't know what all those commenters are bitching about. It looks pretty dang awesome to me. I'm not saying it might eventually disappoint, but that trailer hooked me for now.

You can see the first 20 minutes of the pilot at the link. Apparently if you follow @grimm on Twitter, you get a code to see the whole episode early.

Watched the pilot, and it was solid. Without giving much away, I think I'll like the potential creature sidekick. (He's not a sidekick in an annoying way, but in the "explain this crazy world to me" way.) Also, I like the actor who plays the police chief.
There was a popular song used as the original at the beginning and a cover version at the end. The song is explicitly mentioned in the show at least twice. I often wonder about the writing of scenes like that if usage rights fall through.

I watched Ellen with Sean Hayes (who is an exec. prod) yesterday. They talked about the song a little bit. It's one of those songs where I enjoyed both the original and cover versions equally. Having not seen the pilot, I can't comment on it's use in the show but am very much looking forward to seeing what they do with it. =) Bring on Friday!

GRIMM Premieres Tonight - Showrunner Interviews
"Jim Kouf (National Treasure, Angel) and David Greenwalt (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel) recently took some time to answer questions from the press about their new show, which premieres tonight at 9/8c on NBC. Take a look; you’ll get some insights that may help you decide if Grimm will survive your personal Fridaymageddon."

I liked it a lot, kind of Angel-ish in a superficial way. I'm seeing lots of whining about it being 'just another police procedural', but dude... And yeah, it's not competition for Once Upon a Time at all. Anyway, odd that two of the very, very few good new series this season are fairy tales.
