Can I just say thanks?

Thanks Penny for organising all this and thanks Argel who will present it to CC. Many of us would love to be there, but for whatever reason cannot be. It means a lot to us that we will still be wishing her luck and showing our support, even though we can't physically be there to do it.

Again, thanks.

Um, yeah. I'm not very good with...the words. So you'd better not pass out on me! However, I am very good at catching things in case you do drop the book

Perhaps I'll prepare a script ahead of time so I don't say anything stupid. Who knows, maybe I will suddenly overcome the shyness I've had all of my life and I'll be very eloquent and charming and not come off too stalkerish or dumb

Two more days!

Just remember that sage performance anxiety advice...if you're nervous picture them naked or in their underwear...oh wait, you don't have to imagine CC in the buff, there are pictures.

Okay, I think the intent of this advice is that it would be humbling for those in their underwear, and thus less crazy making. I'm not sure this applies to CC in her underwear, so maybe you could picture her in a chicken suit with lot's of big yellow feathers. That seems less intimidating.

Word of advice from someone who's been there, keep it simple as it's easier to remember and harder to forget. And just remember to talk slowly and clearly. LOL

I have a horrible habbit of rushing when I'm nervous, so I just keep repeating what I was gonna say in my head up until I met her, and after that, just making sure I remembered what she said. I also wrote it down almost as soon as I'd left her too, as I knew I'd forget a lot of what she said. LOL

Penny, any chance of getting a little photo of this notebook like I did with the last one for the TCCP site?

ETA: For those that were not around the last time, you can find details of the last letters project and most of other CC related stuff we've done at The Charisma Carpenter Project. It needs a little updating as the latest ad isn't up yet, but it has most of the stuff we've done. The direct link to the first letters project is here .

I'm gonna try, but I don't have a digital camera and probably will have to finish assembling the book at work, so I can't promise it'll be in its final appearance. We'll see what happens, though!

Besides the notes, though, I'm putting in a copy of the HR Golden Globes issue (folded open to The Ad) and some photo printouts of Prima's artwork. The binder itself resembles a legal folio, with an elastic that loops over a button to hold it closed. (And it's even purplish gray.)

Cool. It'd be a few weeks while before I got round to updating the site anyway, so there's no rush.

Might even honour the update with a shiny new layout!

May I just second, Bert? Thanks so much for this, Penny! And from what you said, I'm sure it looks great... and btw, WOW! 25 pages?! ST rocks!

Wait--where'd I miss the part about 25 pages? Is that the number of responses?

ETA: Nevermind. I found it. Penny, can we get a final page count? It looks like there should have been several more come in. I hope.

The presentation folio went off by FedEx to Argel this afternoon; it will arrive by 10 a.m. tomorrow. Our final count was 35 notes (with a card about the project I put in the CD pocket bringing it to 36).

Also included is a congratulations card for the business card pocket, a photo printout of Prima's art, and the Golden Globes issue of The Hollywood Reporter, folded open to the CC ad.

I've asked Arge to call me when she receives the package, so we'll all know it's safe and on the way to the shoot with her.

Thanks to everyone from here and the C-C.com board who sent in good wishes, as well as any visitors who sent me e-mail. The book looks great, and it's mostly because of you.

I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of the package in the mail, and I will do my utmost to see that CC gets it. Even so, I wanted to give you all a heads up, just in case things don't go as planned. I've been to a few tapings before, and the audiences are generally very segregated from the actors. I will do everything I can to schmooze my way into getting the notebook to CC somehow, but please keep in mind that the peeps in charge may not let us give it to her. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, so hopefully everything will work out okay. I don't want to disappoint anyone.

Oh, and for those Strangers who are also attending the taping: daydreamer and I will be going together to the event, and while we wait in line (and we undoubtedly will), I intend to hold up my "Got Subtext?" ST bumper sticker so that we can flock together. Also, I will be wearing a shirt under my trendy jean jacket (heh) that is somewhat close in shade to Stranger Things Purple. I would love to have our own little ST posse.

Well, hey, don't worry 'bout a thing -- if you can't give it to her directly, you probably can get a PA to pass it on, right? It's the effort that counts. We appreciate it!
