RIP Chris Benoit.

From PWtorch:

We are still awaiting further details, but we are extremely saddened to report that former WWE and WCW World champion Chris Benoit and his wife, former WCW and ECW personality Nancy "Woman" Benoit were both found dead today in Atlanta, Georgia. Obviously this will be a huge developing story in the days to come but at this point, we'd like to express our deepest condolences to the Benoits' family, friends, and fans at this time.

A meeting is currently ongoing at WWE TV and it is expected that tonight's three hour Raw will now be dedicated to Benoit's memory.

As a massive Benoit fan for many years, this is a major blow for me.

I pray for Chris' two younger children and the rest of his extended family.

It looks like it was a double murder suicide. I can't really feel too sorry for him, ya know?

Wow, that's horrible. It's so tragic, why'd he have to kill the little kid? i don't think I'll ever understand this kind of behavior.

It just doesn't add up. Out of all the people in that line of business, Chris always seemed to be one of the nicest, most approachable and most stable people.

It only takes a second to go nuts.

We used to be HUGE wrestling fans back in the NWO days over at WCW, and with Steve Austin at the WWF. Weird thing is my husband and I were just talking about how tacky this current Vince is dead story line is, considering all of the wrestlers who've died recently, like Owen Hart, Brian Pillman, Louie Spicolli, Eddie Guerrero...

Creepy.

Funny thing, back in 2004, the only thing that helped lift my spirits after Cordy's death in YW was Benoit's title win at Wrestlemania 20.
