Thanks, all, for the replies. I thought perhaps I'd missed her in movies or other big TV shows and was pitifully behind the times. I must have seen her on House so I'll have to figure out the episode but, obviously, she didn't stand out there for me. Nice to know it's more a select fandom and I'm not completely clueless.

She was in the second episode this season, "Not Cancer". She played the patient who'd had a cornea transplant.

Fox RENEWS 'Dollhouse'
Surprise: Fox RENEWS 'Dollhouse'
UPDATED: In a stunning move, sources say Fox has renewed Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse” for next fall. The official announcement will not be made until Monday at the network's upfront presentation, but sources confirm a deal has been struck for another 13 episodes. Fox plans to continue the show on Fridays next fall. http://www.thrfeed.com/2009/05/dollh...nd-season.html |

Assuming this is true, I expect it means T:TSCC's destiny is secured. One charity case per season, I think. Good news for DH fans though.

I'm glad the show is coming back, but I can't really see how anyone whose livelihood depends on making programming choices thinks this is a good idea. I suppose they hope that given Joss's track record, the DVDs will sell really well, and lead to a ratings boost next season, but that seems like a reach. Hopefully it won't be like "Tru Calling", where they renewed it and then cancelled it after two or three episodes of the next season.
T:TSCC was already given a borrowed-time renewal last year, so even though I'd like it to continue, I can see how there wasn't really much of an argument for why the ratings would be better this time. |

Jerry, I agree with everything you just said. I like Dollhouse--just like, not love--and I'm glad it's back, but I'll be surprised if Fox doesn't cancel it halfway through it's second season run, just like Tru Calling. Hopefully they get the full run in the can and we'll have it on DVD. My hopes are not especially high.
I'm going to miss T:SCC too, especially after that great season finale, but whatcha gonna do?

Mellie's back next season. Also, that unaired episode will be available from iTunes starting on July 28.

The unaired pilot is available in the usual places. Interesting, but I think Fox was right to ask for changes. On the other hand, some info would have been imparted that might have helped. For one thing, Adele gives an approximate cost for a Doll; 1 Active = 1000 hookers. So there's that.
The Felicia Day episode is also available. Also interesting, even if it did manage to violate many of the series' own rules.

All he has to do is get Aly off of HIMYM and he'd have his pouty lipped little harem complete.

However un-unexpected the news, it does seem to be making people happy.

I'm more than cool with Summer on the show. She just rocks, no matter what she does.
I'm also really glad to see that Alexis Denisof is returning to my TV. It's about time.
