We skipped the Paramount presentation at Comic-Con this year, so of course that's where they officially announced it. Figures.

A lot of people were quite excited by the news though, if the amount of people we heard talking about it afterwards means anything.

That particular piece of casting was never a dealmaker for me, but it's nice. And I understand the Comic Book Guy contingent is placated at this point.

Hmm, the Crystal Skull, that reminds me of an '80s movie, I'll have to look it up.

Do we know if John Rhys-Davies will be in it? It almost seems impossible to have an Indy movie w/o Sallah.

Well that sucks. I guess in a way I can understand it but, I think they're forgetting that most people, IMO, are going to see Indy 4 for the nostalgia of the character and the films and a big part of that, for me, was Sallah. Of course, I got Marion, so I probably shouldn't complain too much.

The "younger cast" thing has made me wonder if this is a passing of the torch movie. Does anyone know anything about the plot? I'm assuming HF wouldn't have agreed to do it if he wasn't the lead, so I guess he's not just going to be in a few scenes while the younger torchbearer does all the work, but it does frighten me when expressions like that are put out there. Do we even know what era it's set in? Are we going to be rockin' and rollin' or jivin'?

I apologize if this is a rehash of some past posts as I haven't been following the thread religiously.
