I just read Newsweek's review of the movie. Clearly either the reviewer or I missed something important. I'm going with the reviewer being the one who missed the point.
Anyway, yeah, I thought it was one of the funniest things I'd seen since, well, Airplane. The writers did a great job at an homage to the series without trying to redo the series, and Carrell and Hathaway also managed to honor the characters' histories without trying to be Adams and Feldon. Nicely done, is what I'm saying.
