Whedon likened the character to another one of his creations, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, adding: "It's about girls maturing, a rite of passage, that kind of thing."

So....Wonder WOMAN is about a GIRL maturing, not a woman adjusting to a new world?
Jeez, when I said they were going to cast Dakota Fanning I was joking...

I sincerely hope that in the wake of Serenity's box office failure, the studio takes control of WW from Whedon, gives it to a competent movie maker, and casts an actual woman in the role.
