On topic, yeah, the complete non-reaction to Anya getting sliced in half was weird. Kinda makes you think maybe criticizing some people's wardrobe choices wasn't all that bad after all.

You know, I don't even remember being upset about Anya's death at the time it aired. But I think I was so disassociated from anything in the Whedonverse at that point that it would have taken a lot more than that to really get my dander up. Plus I started watching that season just before the finale, so I was also pretty out of sync with the show itself.

What really got me was Xander's line when he asked Andrew what happened, and Andrew said that Anya died saving his life, and Xander said, "That's my girl. Always doing the stupid thing."

Geez, he was supposed to MARRY her, and that's the only line they could come up with?! No sadness, no remorse, just a joke?!

That really pissed me off too. I never liked Xander, EVER, so I wasn't surprised that he'd say something like that, but I was surprised that the show runners had him say that. LOL

Pretty much. Buffy had a gay "experiment" with Satsu. Buffy had a dream that everyone is creaming themselves over where Spike and Angel makeout in front of her. Then you've got the Willow gay. LOL

I will find the Dracula issue and scan the pages. It's...baffling.

Apparently in the issue coming out next week Buffy witnesses a kiss between two people that makes her very upset so maybe Dawn will go gay too! She was already a giant, centaur, and a doll. Gay is the next logical step /sarcasm

Well, that turned out pretty much how I expected, which is that with Buffy seeming to be considering her chance to have a 'normal life', and perhaps looking with Xander with new eyes, he's making out with Dawn (which the comic has suggested as a possibility for a while) I'm still enjoying the comic, even though there's a degree of Joss predictability to it. I like that they do things you can't do on a TV budget, or that wouldn't work in live action.
