I feel comfortable in saying that I doubt anyone really thinks Cordy gave him that final vision to send them all on a kamikaze mission against the lackeys of the Senior Partners to what, annoy them? We all know what happened the last time Angel decided to go to the home office and attack the big bad evil at its source. Hello, Epiphany time?

You're right. Angel is a flawed heroes are the best, which is why Spike hasn't appealed to me as he has always been put across as a goody goody. Batman was flawed, Spikderman was flawed, Wolverine, Hulk etc etc. Angel is very flawed but he still saves lives.

Obviously Buffy season 8 is a year of real time behind ATF, but if a one-Starbucks-town like Sunnydale blowing up causes the government to freak, then the sudden disappearance of LA would raise some red flags. ATF is only one issue in, so I'll reserve judgement until at least number 5, but they were so busy trying to drop shock and awe bombs on Angel fans (*gasp* Wes is dead but not gone..*gasp* Connor is with Gwen and Nina..*gasp*Gunn is a vamp!) that it had almost no substance.

The whole of LA lost daylight and no one on the outside questioned it. I don't think LA has been taken from the world. I think has been let into LA but the rest of the world is shielded from it by the barrier. Perhaps the outside world can't see all this happening. Exactly though, Buffy is a lot longer after Atf. Perhaps it is this incident that makes the government turn on supernatural beings (not to mention Joss' recent stint on X-Men.)

He's way big on the Spike and Illyria love. I'm not holding my breath to see her mentioned at all unless as a throwaway comment.

I love Cordelia more than any character besides Angel and would love to see her back, but I don't think we can blame Brian. Joss calls th shots on this wih some ideas being brought to the table by Lynch. It's very much like Btvs Season 6. Joss says, Brian/Marti obeys and writes. They have to. It's their jobs. Yes, BL is a Spike and Illyria fan but I am an Angel fan, you a Cordelia fan. As long as it doesn't overtake the story, which BL has promised it won't, then I am happy for him to write it.

Could Cordy be slotted to show up in the Buffy comic, possibly as a villain? If so, that would explain why she can't be in ATF. Of course, that could be wishful thinking and desire to see my favorite character back in some form or another.

I think IDW has rights to Cordelia as they are the writers of ANGEL. The Angel franchise has always been IDW's and Cordelia is part of that. Besides, evil Cordelia has already been done and it didn't go down well. I doubt he'd risk it again. Maybe it's another Bufy vs Faith arc.
Anyway, seeing as your a reader of ATF, I can give you the link to IDW so you can talk to fellow ATF readers and Brian Lynch himself. If you want the link let me know.
