Nice list, and always good to see CC getting some recognition. Btw, with all due respect to Eliza Dushku, "sweetheart" isn't the first word that comes to mind when I think of her on-screen persona.

The cat wasn't afraid to die. Then one day, the cat became a stray cat, which meant he was free. He met a white female cat. And the two of them spent their days together happily. Well, years passed and the white cat grew weak and died of old age. The tiger-striped cat cried a million times and then he died, too. Except this time, he didn't come back to life." -Spike |

I have to agree, ED does come across more of a badass than sweetheart. Even on Tru Calling which operates under the nomme de guerre Run Tru Run!
I have to admit being surprised by CC’s mention since she’s not on a genre show this year. I think of these things as being more “hot as in I’m in something I’m pushing at the moment” monitoring. And go AA! Really surprised to see her at the top of the list but pleasantly. I wonder if BtVS was still on if AHD would be higher up. |

Congradulations first and foremost to Charisma Carpenter. She is a true sweet heart, in and out of character. And if they were reffering to character, it must have been hard for them to choose one, since Cordy is a well-rounded character...(in my opinion at least)
Also, props to Jennifer Garner, Amy Acker, Eliza Dushku, Alysonn Hannigan and the others. One question, is Keira Knightly currently on a project i've not heard of? I know she was in Pirattes and also Love Actually, but is she currently doing something related to Sci Fi? Her name seemed a tad out of place on the list. |

Well she's playing Guinevere in "King Arthur" which is not SF per se but I don't think they worry about things like that.

It´s so good to see Charisma on the list of the sweethearts.
It´s just the 5th place, but still she got noticed. CC is really a sweetheart.

Are they "placing" the women other than the top 5? I didn't get that impression, but maybe Tojo can tell us.

there's no overall list, just the 5 sections in the order in have reported.
each one of the top 5 gets a full page, and the 1st place of the other categories also get full pages with 2nd thru 5th all on the facing pages, with 4 to a page. the sweethearts category has a subhead 'the gals we wish were the girls next door' the notes say eliza dushku--recovering bad girl hot where-buffy, tru calling hot why-the bad girl slayer is now a goof girl mortician living one day at a time. we'd be happy to relive any 24 hours she chooses charisma carpenter-ditz no more hot where-angel hot why-she crosses over from buffy to drive a stake through the heart of angel investigations, and we mean that in a good way.

Thanks Tojo. Interesting that they went w/ the "bad girl who's now good" way w/ ED. Makes sense now.
And that CC comment about breaking hearts! Not to mention what's left the show w/ her. I'm curious what they said about AA. She was the dark horse in my mind. |

Aww. Glad Charisma got the recognition she deserved. I'm also loving the Famke addition. I absolutely adore her!
