I liked the
Blood Ties series better, too Danny. The writing was stronger and more adult (not so much of the teenage sturm and drang). I especially enjoyed Huff's bi-sexual and gay characters. It's nice to see all forms of love and romance in a series.
Don't know if you guys read
Barbara Hambly, but I'd recommend her James Asher vampire series, which includes
Those Who Hunt the Night and
Traveling With the Dead. I also loved
George R. R. Martin's Fevre Dream.
