Dude,
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory took a nose dive in it's second week, earning only $23 Million (as opposed to $54 Million it's opening weekend). And guess what! It's a success! It's a hit.

$14,154,696 (USA) (10 April 2005) (3,230 Screens)
That's about the same drop off as CatCF.
