Board down time: A reminder from the mods!
 

As you are all probably aware, on rare occasions the board suffers down time yesterday that isbeyond our control.

In order to minimise flailing and panicking is (though who doesn't love a good flail?), there are several groups that you can join to keep you up to date on the status of the board.

The <b>Stranger Emergency Broadcast System</b> if you will.

<b><a href="http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/strangerforum/" target="_blank">The ST Yahoo Group</a></b> – For those of who remember what a mailing list is, we have a Yahoo group where you can be updated if ever the board vanishes.

<b><a href="http://community.livejournal.com/strangerlj/" target="_blank">The ST Livejournal</a></b> – For the younger generation (and those of us to betrayed the ML for the prettier LJ), we also have a LiveJournal. Go hope over and click the friend button now!

- Please note that both of these options are only used when there is a problem with the board, so e-mails/posts are minimal.

<b>The ST Backup Board</b> – This went 'poof' some time ago, but back in the day we used to have a slightly less pretty, purple EzBoard that people could post at during an outage. If people are interested in having a backup board again, speak up and we can set one up for the future.
