As excited as I am for the second season of this show, the casting of Lauren Cohan really makes me sad. She was unwatchable on "Supernatural", and then equally terrible on "Chuck".

Morrigan 07-13-2011 08:40 PM

I thought Lauren Cohan was cast in one of those new CW shows...The Secret Circle, odd. I also thought I saw her in something post Supernatural that I liked her in but I can't seem to find it on IMDb.

Oh duh, she played Rose on The Vampire Diaries and I actually liked her.

SamIAm 07-13-2011 08:46 PM

Seriously? I thought she was fine on Chuck. Good, even.

Oh, *that's* the actress the SPN fandom hated so much? Huh. I liked her on Chuck and Vampire Diaries. Guess she's one of those Alexa Davalos actresses - something about her makes you either like or hate her.

bella never worked (for me) because she didn't serve the plot, every episode she was in it felt like she was tacked on. Also, it was clear that she was introduced just to be a typical CW love interest. For all that I complained about Katie Cassidy's acting, at least when Ruby showed up I knew there was a point and it flowed with the story.

Of course I'm sure there were quite a few SPN fans that hated bella because she was mean to Sam/Dean or because she was an LI.

Rick has looked better, honestly. But wasn't there a thing in season one where they dressed in sort-of-hazmat suits to do this?

SamIAm 07-22-2011 08:52 PM

October 16 is the premiere date for season 2. Also at the link are some tidbits from Comic-Con and a heck of a good teaser.

Morrigan 07-23-2011 08:09 AM

Damn that teaser was good. Can't wait for S2!

What Morrigan said. Totally made of awesome-sauce. It's amazing how tense and scary even the trailer is!

Frank Darabont steps down as showrunner.

SamIAm 07-28-2011 12:10 PM

Two things:

1) Glen Mazzara is taking over for Frank Darabont as showrunner.
2) Apparently Darabont didn't quit, he was fired.

SamIAm 08-11-2011 07:41 AM

::sigh:: It's not looking good for TWD's future.

Morrigan 08-12-2011 11:18 AM

leave it to the network suits to destroy a hit show.

SamIAm 08-31-2011 08:44 PM

More about AMC than about TWD, but it does give some insight about what's going on at AMC, money-wise anyway.

SamIAm 10-13-2011 05:46 PM

I (and apparently only I) cannnot wait for the 16th.
